We honestly don't know the full story of why M&H left the UK and it is important to realize that. The Queen was very smart and wise (and private) to handle an obviously difficult situation that involved H&M. The details are not for us to know, probably to save face for H&M because the Queen was diplomatic. Obviously H&M were a risk and they were dealt with. For those saying they should have been allowed to remain in Frogmore as they could have been an asset to the Crown, that is fully not the case. Harry made it very clear during the interviews promoting his book that he does not want the institution he wants family. Royal events like Trooping the Colour are NOT family events. They are institution events and that is why the Prime Minister and other dignatories attend. State Visits are also not family events. State visits are organized by the Foreign Office in collaboration with the Palace. The family events in the calendar are Balmoral and Sandringham at Christmas. For Harry to say he was disappointed he was not invited to Trooping the Colour clearly demonstrates that he himself does not understand how constitutional monarchy works. Harry and Meghan collected an award for calling out racisim within the institution of monarchy. They told the world it is toxic and that Charles and William are trapped within the institution. There are 2 aspects of the royal family. As a family, Harry is a member. And there’s another that’s under the grace of the Crown. So Harry will always be a son, a brother, a cousin, nephew and relative to the family. But he has nothing to do with the Monarchy which holds the Crown. That is why the Queen said No Half In and Half out. I’m sure she didn’t mean Family but rather as the authority representing the Crown. As has always been obvious, the late Queen Elizabeth II was always very clear who she was and who she spoke for - The Crown. As for family matters, that’s the jurisdiction of Prince Philip. They were only gifted the use of Frogmore Cottage by the Queen because Markel and Harry began fighting with everybody, upsetting the staff and William and Harrys' office had to be split. We honestly don't know the full story of why M&H left the UK and it is important to realize that. The Queen was very smart and wise (and private) to handle an obviously difficult situation that involved H&M. The details are not for us to know, probably to save face for H&M because the Queen was diplomatic. Obviously H&M were a risk and they were dealt with. For those saying they should have been allowed to remain in Frogmore as they could have been an asset to the Crown, that is fully not the case. H&M have loudly damaged the family through various platforms because they have the freedom to say what they want. The Crown does not so cannot defend the stance that was obviously needed.

They are institution events and that is why the Prime Minister and other dignatories attend. State Visits are also not family events. There are 2 aspects of the royal family. As a family, Harry is a member. And there’s another that’s under the grace of the Crown. So Harry will always be a son, a brother, a cousin, nephew and relative to the family. But he has nothing to do with the Monarchy which holds the Crown. That is why the Queen said No Half In and Half out. I’m sure she didn’t mean Family but rather as the authority representing the Crown. As has always been obvious, the late Queen Elizabeth II was always very clear who she was and who she spoke for - The Crown. As for family matters, that’s the jurisdiction of Prince Philip. He wants to come home for a cup of tea, sure. He can if his relatives are available for a reception. But to come back in full regalia as part of those representing the Crown, then No cos he has no relation to the Crown anymore. It’s like King Edward. Once you abdicate, you leave the grace of the Crown so you just leave (that’s a choice) and continue life quietly remaining as just a member of the family. It’s so black and white.
