Super cool that Scott's marketing department allows this. Letting someone loose on your frames to heavily modify them right out of the box is obviously not traditional for them to acknowledge as OK, but this is a great way to promote bikes in the Instagram age.

So probably not as bombproof as a good quality steel housing, but so far so good for my after using them on several bikes.
Hello there. Is there any way to convert my 2019 addict disk into gravel one? I’m not sure if simply swapping a fork for a gravel one would do the trick 🤔. Any advice greatly appreciated.

I feel that in modern bikes it is strength and durability that allows you to push them harder, and thus enjoy them more. I love the style of this bike (and other bikes of this builder) for sure, but would never want to own such a thing for riding. It would better suite as my kitchen decoration) But a kudos from me for dedication and out-of-the-box thinking!

@@PeterPenisPan80 I was hoping for 6,8kg including pedals. But I decided to go with a few heavier things like high profile rims, proper tires, proper bar tape etc which made for a much better ride but slightly heavier weight. I'm still very happy with 7,13kg though, bike feels super responsive!
@@Dangerholm What's crazy to me is, this gravel build kinda puts it into perspective how insanely light the "Super Spark" was, just 500 grams more for a usable full suspension bike, insane, sure; that one had some of the lightest parts available & this gravel build uses as you said some heavier parts so it is not a fair comparison but still, that Spark was, yeah...😛
Chamfered edges on the brake discs is also a good safety feature in case someone goes down in the peleton. There is no reason to have sharp edges on the disc.
I actually have such bike but except lauf suspension, i got 2kg classic suspension. No money was left after speedhub for lightweight suspension. And by the way, that lauf suspensions react way better than conventional spring suspensions; it's a shame how they price it more, even though it costs less... It can revolutionize cycling if they could mass produce for cheaper.
Very nice bike! But I have a big problem seeing the use of a bike like this. Its practically just a MTB without a suspension-fork and with drop bars instead of regular MTB bars.

I messed up the numbers when I shot the video, so the weight is not in there (sorry)! The bike weighs 7,13kg including pedals.

Astonishing bike. But if it was my project, I'd go with a speedhub and front lauf suspension fork, and to reduce weight, rim brake at back.
