For someone who still gets stressed out trying to fit a rear wheel, I find these videos strangely relaxing. Lovely bike too.
Glad you like them.
Awesome build, loving the ambient music
The ambient spa music makes it 👌
Bike Spa. Maybe that’s the name.
I thought i was gonna miss the silly, star-wars-tinged banter… and i was right. I love how much thinking Nic does before he says something funny, how just outright Jimmi is and how just hilarious Francis is without trying. Having said that, i do love watching nic work with the subtle music behind him. As i’m sure the comment section is rife with “no mask while cutting a carbon tube?!” and “bar tape/brakes should be this way or that” i wanted to make sure i got in another i still love your work be it Atticus, when you show up in Francis’ vids (it honestly seems like a Marvel-level crossover when my fave cycling subs meet up!) or your other endeavors (more music?). Keep it up! I love how these drop on Fridays as it’s the end of my weekend and it’s a great cap - esp these build vids.
I was a bike mechanic in my youth and it's great to watch a bike being put together, pizza looked nice too 😋
Glad you like the vids. Pizza was sooooo good.
Stunning bike! Love the care that goes into building the bikes!
Nic is a bike wizard
Well done, Jimmi. Gee Milner watch out!
Who’s that? 😜
Enjoying the build video, you can tell the way the mechanic works on the bike shows his passion for his work. Nice background music.
Yeah, Nic been working in bike shops for over 20 years.
…i also love how Nic just splashes through the pomp-and-circumstance that SRAM put millions of dollars of design into just because he’s seen it so so many times.
Worked in a bike shop during the pandemic. I wonder why I come always back to watch such vids. Maybe I should change my profession at 61.🤣
nice one Jimmi very relaxing
Thanks, Kyle.
Another great video. This one had Francis Cade, beer and pizza in it.
Absolute winner!
As if I wasn't already envious enough of Francis's bikes! Awesome video! I love how relaxing they are to watch!!
I know right. He lets me ride his bikes sometimes. 😀
The relaxation factor of this vid was just what I needed after a week like last
Glad you enjoyed pal
love the gold chain and gold cassette! Nice build.
Hutchinson is a solid brand (I'm using Touaregs)! I wish there are a lot more out there who would use and feature it on their build. Beautiful bike btw!
I wish I could just pop in and hang with you guys. Adding your neighborhood to my world bucket list. Excellent video. The intermission reminded me I had food waiting.
A beautifully produced video of a beautiful bike build. Thank you.
Thanks Neil
Momum TAV valves looking trick in purple! Thanks for featuring and love the bike build videos!
✌🏼✌🏼
That pizza looked great, also contentious bar tapping;)
Cracking video, I've got the lesser Addict Gravel 30 as a one bike to rule them all and absolutely love it.
Glad you like the video, mate.
Gorgeous bike!
This internal rooting looks sick, but a pain in the ass to build as well!
I like the ambient soundtrack on this one.
Same.
Beer and Pizza whilst working!! wow best job in the world
Hahaha. I know right.
A he did a good job wrapping that bar tape considering he had a few jars beforehand :-)
An absolute pro. 😂
That bike build 🤩 - Sign us up for the next round of pizza and beers!
See you there.
Almost pulled the trigger on a Scott Addict Gravel 20 but can’t get past the purple/black frame. This build is right up my alley, love all the components and the color, especially the gold. 🙌🏽❤️
Colour first for me. 😂
Thanks Francis and Nick and Jimmi...Nice bike mate ! AND the Pizza looked amazing......Peace. Well done lads .
Wish i had some of that pizza right now 😭😭😭
Me as well .. I appreciate all that you do , the bike dancing , you and your partners clothes and just general good vibes ! Peace
Great video and a truly awesome bike!
Have you any plans on making a similar build for anyone else?! I’m toying with upgrading my existing bike (Nukeproof Digger) or trading it in and going for something else but in the same style as the digger!
Great video Jimi!
Thanks Bruce
My favourite one yet 👍
Was great fun to make.
Good mechanic nice bike
Another great vid! Nice work 👍🏽
Thanks pal
Ah man, to have the budget for a build like that with all the components you want!
I know right. Very fancy. But can totally down spec it and it would still be amazing.
@@Jimmidoesstuff after buying that frame I think my ‘spec’ right now would call for what the pros refer to as “a balance bike”. A bit basic for some peoples needs but you can’t deny the overall weight advantage!!!
Weight makes no difference off road. It’s all about comfort.
Bike ASMR
You knows it, Deadpool
cracking bike thanks for sharing!
Beautiful!!!!
This is so cool!
OMG! This is pure Zen!
Thanks
wow...just wow..!!!!!
So satisfying
07:31 - double parked and fitting tyres. Absolute wizardry.
I don’t get it.
@@Jimmidoesstuff fresh pint lined up and one still on the go. Those tyres would be on upside down, if it were me!
Oohhhh 😂😂😂. They were 4 pints deep by the end. Was like herding cats.
Thanks for posting Jimi = beautiful & nice edit.
@ Francis > Nice Build.
I don't usually suffer 'Bike Envy'...
I now have all kinds of it to deal with (haha) = Thank gawd for supply issues !! I'll have to wait.
Thanks, Daniel. Glad you like it.
Jimmiiiii ! Love these vids.
Jooooooeee!! I love making them.
Subbed, liked and commented. Super nice build.
Super appreciate it, Tom.
Very nice build and camera work
Thank you for this build. I’m looking at building a bike almost exactly the same (probably diverge vs Scott, but the same components otherwise).
Nice build, nice vid like the pizza making bit, now I really want pizza.
Go get some, kev. ✌🏼
Damn that is a very nice assembly video and a beatifull bike.
Glad you enjoyed it, Louis.
Beautiful bike 🚴👍👆
Oh I can only dream of something like that 👍🏻
Like most of us.
Nice one Nick
I'm very jealous!
It is very, very fancy.
@@Jimmidoesstuff indeed, methinks _too_ fancy
Fabulous
Didn't know those Hutchinson tyres, but those look great. Been asking WTB for a 700c version of their Sendero, but the Tundras in 45 should work well too (Canyon Grizl). it can get quite muddy over here (NL)
Nicely done, Jimmi. But who's that unruly character in the hat? 🤔😉
An absolute pain in the ass. Normal build time is 2 hours (ish). 6 hours with him about!!
@@Jimmidoesstuff he was more chill in his video, but you can see his _10 year old on xmas morning_ bonkers-ness here.
In my dreams 😅💙💎
On all accounts,lovely stuff!!???
They look like children creating a jewel.😁 Beutyful bike
Sounds like the hot-yoga ambient sounds. It works.
Bike Spa!!!
@@Jimmidoesstuff Where every highly strung tri-bike and 90s vintage Joe Murray can umwind.
Yeaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh
good looking pizza. bike looks good too.
Pizza is 10/10. 😍
Hi Jimmi: Francis sent me. Great video. When do you decide to cut the steerer tube? I watched the cut and said: can't undo that...."
I need a crash course in cable routing and hydraulic brake installation .... nice watching a pro at work.
Nic marks it off based on the customers bike fit.
Having made these videos I can confirm I have no interest in ever doing my own routing/discs. Leave that for the pros! 😂
Very relaxing video, I love it to watch at the end of the day
Hah. Glad you look them, Edwin.
is it possible to flat bar using components from gravel (shifter eagle AXS but using crank and sprocket SRAM rival/force/red)? I'm using a hybrid bicycle.
Amazing video as always Jimmy. Poor pizza choice 🤣 🍕
What’s poor about it? Best cheese & tom about town.
That is going to be a proper weapon in his capable hands 👌🏼🔥
is there something special about the bbb grip tape you're using? noticed it in all of your other builds and it doesn't seem to be that popular elsewhere
It’s the one Nic uses on all his builds. I’ve been using it on all my bikes for few years. It’s very good and looks awesome.
@@Jimmidoesstuff nice, thanks
nice pizza build
😝😝😝
any chance of a director's cut version? like 90 minutes or something?
Hahah. I thought 14 minutes was pretty overkill!
Wow😘😘😘
Hey Jimmi, did you guys go with a wide road bottom bracket and wide crank?
Just wondering if it's possible to install the new Eagle Transmission on the Addict
Bizniz
Ah yeaaaahhhhhh.
Haha - Google offered to translate this for me
That was a nice way to spend 15 minutes.
Glad you enjoyed it, Scott.
I have a spare xx1 crankset and trying to change the chainring to 48t , is it compatible to used it ? How much offset should I used?
Not a clue
Damn I want pizza now
I’m having some right now
Can you please tell me whats the name of the integrated stem and bar you used?
Thank’s
I like to put a straight bar hehe
What specific chainring you are using? Is it a one by system? Is it a 48t chainring? Sorry I'm very newbie here and I'm building same gravel bike .
Dunno. Speak to local bike shop. They’re worth every penny.
He’s going to need to grow a mullet now…
Excellent idea.
glad my bike dosnt have internal routing!
Gold chain must be worth at least 5 watts!
is that sram butter what he uses for the brake cable nut?
Erm? Yes? It’s apparently some mad expensive little pot of red gold.
@@Jimmidoesstuff ohh… I only know it from servicing suspension. Didn't know the actual purpose 😅
Slick honey is more expensive
mullet - was watching and waiting what was mullet then read the build list :(
i thought something crazy like a 27.5 and MTB tire LOL out back
A mullet groupset is pretty crazy for the traditional world of cycling. 🤯😂
What chain is this? The eagle chain I installed is too short for 46t front and 50t rear
The standard Eagle chain comes with 126links. Should fit okay. This one was the XX1 gold version. 👌🏽
Using the Sram method of chain sizing, I wasn’t able to get the two ends of the standard eagle 126 link chain to overlap.
Over the chainring and 50t cog, and not through the mech?
That’s why I’m asking what chain they used
@@mikeynonPCXX1 gold 12 speed
Take my money
I think Francis´ bike got Nicked.
Kool video, and sick bike. BUT hope you court that the front brake isn’t mounted correctly.. caliper is too far from rotor. Fork must be 160mm rotor ready, rather than 140 and adding a 160mm caliper mount means it sits far too high. Don’t mean to be THAT guy but hey here I am haha 🤣
😬😬 downside of building the bike after several pints. Cade is a bad influence. Sorted it the morning after 👌🏽
Nice bike, but this cablerouting around the headset looks just terrible to build and service
😂😂 Nic’s problem. Not mine.
what's the chainring size?
Built specs in the description, mate.
BICYCLE
Correct.
By custom I thought you meant custom.
Sexy looking bike 😱😱😍
And the peddles?🤷🏼♂️
What about them?
All these "pro" bike mechanics using a vise and a hacksaw to cut a fork steerer... my God, buy a porta-band, for Crissakes!
What's "pro" about a bandsaw?
@@ickebins6948Precise cut, less waste, less effort, no need for a "collar" to achieve a straight cut, thinner blade, less tearing of the material, is that enough?
@@rd946 Less waste? You buy a freaking bandsaw for 1-2 cuts a day...
Thinner blades? And how is that relevant? You cut the tube, the rest goes in the bin...
Precise cut? You mark the spot and cut it... If you miss the spot it's not exact, no matter how you cut it...
Pretty "pro" reasons to throw money out of the window for no practical gains!
It's like buying a whole JCB digger to put some soil into a flowerpot.
@@ickebins6948 Mine cost $149, if that's going to cause financial strain on a bike shop, they don't need to be in business. I'd venture to guess any moderately busy bike shop spends that much on hacksaw blades and labor cost in the time it takes to use said hacksaw for each cut in a year. But again, I realize this isn't about a bandsaw being better, it's about you having the last word and being a bada$$ on UA-cam. 😂
@@rd946 Oh the hacksaw needs blades? Well I'm glad the bandsaw does not...
As stated by yourself: "it's about you having the last word and being a bada$$ on UA-cam"
It was a genuine question, because I did not see the point in a bandsaw... and guess what, you did not provide any useful points.
Just more cost, it needs a space in the workshop and no time saved in the process.
Maybe the "pro" mechanics are not ready for your level of "expertise"!
Brake levers and calipers sold already connected. Wow SRAM, that’s idiotic!
They’re pre-bled complete brake systems. Means they can be cut to size, to attached and no mineral oil, or re-bleeding is required. Saves bike shops a load of time. Does seem odd though. I do agree.
awesome! but what's the deal with that awful music? kinda ruined it for me
