Glad I was still too young to get one before I found out Moldemort was behind all this.
Moldemort is _the_ best nickname for her I have ever heard!
Great name lol 😆
Where did this "mold" thing with her come from? I just call her Umbridge.
@@christopherb501On one of her previous profile pics (she had it around the time she first attacked Imane Khelif), there were black spots on the wall of her mansion which looked like black mold. Now people are joking that the mold is eating her brain and making her a horrible person.
@@christopherb501 she had some pictures of herself posted which were taken in front of a really (!!) moldy wall, but apparently, she deleted them and re-uploaded versions with a blurred background.
I’m probably not going to get a tattoo. But I am for sure getting top surgery.
Yeah!
Right on! Me too ❤
YES this is real
Cosmetic surgeries for cis folks have a 14% regret rate, whereas trans-affirming surgery is 1%. Additionally, 10% of biological males wish they had never been circumcised, which in modern times has been proven to be completely unnecessary and is largely only continued in the states for the sake of fitting in. Remember that the next time someone argues that gender-affirming surgery is 'senseless mutilation', because apparently it's only a problem for trans people making the choice for their own body, but not your newborn baby boy!
i find this hilarious
i think they're mainly just mad 'cause it's trans-related
They also never take into account the procedures done on intersex people at a young age, for the same reasons.
Even if circumcision is argued as inconsequential, the principle of bodily autonomy being violated still applies and frankly I’d rather have had the choice even if a foreskin has minimal effect on my overall wellbeing
@@sugarqbs And it should be mentioned that no surgery can be considered 'inconsequential'. The moment there is a wound, there's a risk of infection, which can always become life threatening - and this doesn't even consider what we HAVE seen of bad circumcisions leading to actual mutil*tions.
@@thethirdtime9168 like the sad story of David Reimer and Dr. Money
There are a whole myriad of things you could bring up that have a higher regret rate than trans surgeries, but this is definitely the funniest one
:3
Like having children or getting married
I bet tattoos overall have a higher regret rate than gender-affirming surgeries but the Harry Potter one specifically is more fitting😅
Knee replacements was an interesting one for me
I thought everyone would just get one after a certain age and it'd be fine because the sore bone gets replaced with something that can't feel pain
But lots of people regret it
Emergency heart surgery has a regret higher than SRS
A great statistic to bring out 🏳️⚧️
It baffles me that people who cry that gender-affirming surgeries are dangerous and unnecessary are the very same people that will circumcise their baby or pierce their infant's ears... 🤦🏻♀️
Or make their intersex babies have surgery to make them fit into what sex the parents want
ngl I was circumcised and I hate I was, but in Latin America it's very common for parents to pierce their baby girls' ears and I think it's ok...
Girls often have fun using fun earrings and I always envied that since I couldn't so if anything I'd wish it was normalized for boys too.
If you don't like them later in life you can always stop using earrings and sometimes the piercing will even close after years of wearing earrings so imo it's not nearly as invasive as a circumcision...
But ofc I see your point haha
@@keco_mentario You can get piercings at any time, the important part is that it should be your own choice.
@@keco_mentario i agree, I think either side on this kinda makes sense and the reason parents do this is so that their children don't have to go through the pain of getting their ears pierced, whereas it doesn't really do anything bad if they don't end up wanting a piercing (bc the piercing will close up like u said and even not closed, will be fully healed) but I also understand the side that it is still altering the childs body without consent for a non-necessary reason. I wish I had gotten my ears pierced as a baby even though I have gotten them pierced since then, not even just the pain but I could've been wearing earrings longer, they would have healed when I was younger, and also I kinda put off getting them pierced because I WAS scared it would hurt a lot. but then again, there's no way my parents could have known that I would want that when I was a baby, I just don't know of people who *do* wish they hadn't had their ears pierced (i'm sure they exist I just haven't looked into it much lol)
Oh definitely. I had someone defend infant circumcision in the same sentence as telling me my hysterectomy I had done **for medical reasons as an adult** was child mutilation.
Like cutting up a literal newborns genitals? Totally fine apparently. An adult treating a serious medical issue? Child mutilation, somehow.
... Such a double standard: when cis people get dysphoric about something, there's no much questions asked...
You mean normal people. No such thing as cis people nor trans people.
@@ussco Damn guess all of humanity just disappeared. Do you know what cis and trans mean when used to describe people?
@@ussco no such thing as a normal person, and cis and trans are just Latin prefixes to describe gender in the same way we homo and hetero to describe sexuality

My indepth knowledge of Harry Potter haunts me. 😩 I used to be really into obscure facts, and HP, and those combined allotted a very *strange* amount of knowledge as a child. One of my managers at work was talking about something regarding it and she couldn't remember the name of something and I told her without thinking. Now she and the other managers are always trying to talk to me about it and I just. Do not want to. It used to be my biggest conversation topic as a socially awkward teen, but now it's sour. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with liking HP, getting tattoos, and such as long as you realize Rowling isn’t a good role model/person. I think some of it also has to do with the potterheads cringe. Regardless, Rowling is a bad person and the books she wrote are, for better or for worse, really good.
I’d agree, since I teach and research it, but with the caveat that I do bring it up in class and I don’t give money to the franchise (with the exception of the MinaLima books, because they are cool), and set things up so that my students do not have to give the franchise a dime if they don’t want to. I fully support those who want to cut ties entirely.

I think that's hilarious. Of the people who begin medical transition, only 8% stop transition within the first 5 years. Of that 8%, 60% continue transition within 10 years of initial transition.
