You're getting it fixed quickly. I was thinking it would take longer. Great job Don. She's looking better every time you upload a video. Thanks for sharing this adventure.
Good update. It must be much nicer working at home, easy access and convenient, just walk out the door vs driving 45 min.to the field. Re the paint..in combat and field use the "matching paint" might not be the same so everything's good. God I just love the look of that little honey just laying there.
Just a suggestion, your plane is short coupled, the rudder is not effective once the tail comes down. I would give up having a retract tailwheel in place of a steerable one. I would also raise the tail up some similar to a full size corsair. Try to keep tail up as long as possible when landing. Have a great day , repair looks good.
Always good to see you making progress, especially after the set back. I feel for you with trying to keep that garage heated and usable. Have you ever considered insulating those doors? A cheap DIY could pay for itself pretty quickly, in more ways than one. Thanks for taking us along!
Oof, I used needle guns/scalers to chip paint, when I was in the US Navy! They're good for what they do, but man are they noisy! I'm glad you're getting a whole new propeller assembly. Like you said, they're ensuring that a possibly damaged piece is not floating around in General Public. I was happy to donate to the cause. I'm still hoping my channel gets monetized, sometime soon!
Glad to see you will have projects to keep you busy over the winter. I don't know if you said or i missed it but just wondering what was going to happen to the tail wheel.
Good to see you pushing on with the repairs to the air plane, as you point out the motor vehicle's need to take priority as we move into winter and raise some revenue for the extra heating cost's needed to keep the project moving, well done on the "go fund me" propeller, when will it arrive ? : )
One more question have you ever used powder coat paint. I used it this summer powder coating bullets using a small toaster over amd worked out great. Got the powder coat paint from Eastwood.
I know I'm going to take guff for this, but Don, many of us don't care about car issues, fixing your wife's wheels and your weekend forays. I'd say just stick to fixing the War Corsair. Not saying I'll stop rooting for you getting back in the air. Glad you weren't injured in the minor mishap! Just a suggestion.
There is a button to fast forward thru the parts of the video that you aren't interested in. I use it all the time. Just saying, can't please everyone.
I have never seen that add-on to a manual tire changer. I'd be interested in getting one for my changer. I'd like to see it work. Tell me where you got it . Thanks
Little by little, it is getting fixed. A big project broken down into small manageable jobs. No need to rush. Love watching your progress.

Thanks for the update. Keep plugging away, as I know you will. Looking forward again to see her Fly again.

the blue Lady will be better than before! Thanks for sharing it with us
Coming along fast Don! I was thinking you'd be way further behind than you are! It's all coming together and looking GR8!
Lookin'good, as always Don.!! Focus on the fuselage and workout. I wish you were my neighbor. We all live vicariously through you.
Why? do you need something fixed? LOL Just kidding.
Looking good.😊
Looking real good Don, thanks for the update!
Will help in any little way we can . I will keep sharing. Many of my friends and family watch . Keep up the good work .
Thanks

Yes, the strut on the full size was taller, and raised the tail up. Might help to improve visibility while taxiing. Nice composite repair work.
Looking amazing, my friend!!!👍👍👍

Maybe some day I'll get around to insulating the door. Right now it's not hard to heat.
I missed an episode.. why the repairs ..? Too small or didn’t last …?
Gearbox was torn down to check for damage from prop strike.
Great job so far.
11:55 I wouldn’t use Silicone on the seal. I would use permatex 300 or high tack.. and the bolts I would use locktite 567 or some white Teflon paste.
Yes there are many options to choose from. The silcone is just to give people an idea of what needs to be done, to prevent oil leaks. Thanks

The new one will get a locking feature, and the old one will go under the bench.
Repairs are looking good. Is your new prop a larger diameter? Will you be able to ground adjust the pitch?
Same as the old one, just a newer style of hub. Ground adjustable yes.

Prop will be here in a week or two.
Will you have to re-weigh for weight and cg calculations?
It shouldn't need to, but I will, yes.
Does your Mustang have T-tops? I haven't seen one in a long time.
I am installing T-Tops, yes.

On his reduction unit, he wanted to remove the paint or powder coating to help it not hold in the heat.. he’s hoping it lets some heat out.
I powder doated the wheel rims, dash panel and switch panels myself, with the Harbor Freight unit.
@@thomasaltruda The gearbox was epoxy paint, but I did my wheel rims, instrument panel and switch panels with powder coat.
Hi Don, we haven’t heard from you in a while. Hope everything is ok. We miss the good videos.
Thanks for the update. We haven't had a Mustang in awhile how is it coming?
I haven't touched it, due to this plane.
I told you to buy a Subaru, Don. Number #1 car on the road today.
The wifes car is another story.
Love the repairs made on Suesy Bell.
"GET'ER'DONE!"
Sounds like a master cylinder failure on your car. Common symptom.
If it didn't have ABS, then yes, I would look at the master cylinder. But it is the ABS module.

The only Guff you'll catch is from the wives........
This channel is not dedicated to this plane only. I do all kinds of projects. Look through my older videos.
James c’mon man.
