On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.

You've shown us how the F-16 compares when fighting against the F-22 in a gun fight, what can you do in a soviet aircraft that is effectively designed for a similar dogfight regime as the F-16? What I'm asking, is can you pull off a similar performance, and beat the F-22 in a gunfight while flying the MiG-29 (Whichever version in DCS you believe has the best chance)?

Toxic in an F22 is pretty much "Let's make this as hard as possible and still keep it a 1v1 guns fight"
This is one of the best DCS dogfights on youtube. Two very good players in 2 very capable planes, both planes getting shot, and a good demonstration that 1 mistake is all it takes.
Not sure what I loved more. The new out side of the fight perspectives or the shrek grin.
Is there any way to get a missile cam of some missile shots, may be a new perspective to try? First person into the kill?
Dcs has missile camera. 3rd person camera that you can rotate around the missile. Can't do first person missiles.
Realise, that often you wouldn't see the plane you are impacting with first person missile view. Unless you pretend the camera is fixed to the seeker. This is both impossible and would look goofy
Grew up in Colorado Springs, got to see the Thunderbirds every year. Ended up joining the Navy and seeing the Blue Angels sometimes during Seafair… having seen both, the F-16 is in a different ballpark. Not knocking the Blue Angels, but those Thunderbirds are nimble hot rods by comparison.

When I saw Toxic was flying the F-22, I knew the Raptor was in trouble. 😂
Are we to assume the Raptor was also running the G-Loc feature as it is now on the F-16? That would only be fair. And...if you compare the size of each aircraft the Raptor's got some real moves for such a large beast. The fact that the F-16 has to work to defeat it is pretty impressive all things considered.

That was EPIC!! This occurs to me - if the corner speed for the F-22 has not been published, Toxic may not have the information needed to max-rate the F-22, which could have made a difference as your ability to max-rate the F-16 was arguably one of the decisive factors.
BUT the info is there to max rate the F22 in it's current state in DCS.

These videos are both entertaining and educational. I've learned so much about tactics, and BFM on this channel as a simple (former) grunt with a passion for military aviation. You explain things so well, I think you'd be a great teacher/instructor, if only when using DCS as a tool. Wouldn't it be great if the RCAF recognized that and ask you to make a few (classified) instructional videos for yound cadets studying to become Canada's finest?

Time and again you are able to force a 2 circle fight when the other guy wants a 1 circle, and a 1 circle when the other guy wants 2 circle, but other guys can't seem to do the same to you. Clearly GS has a skill advantage! I'd like to see the same fight with the seats swapped.

Did the F-16 damage model get a buff along with the g-lock rework? For all its greatness, usually the F-16 crumbles after taking a couple rounds, and certainly would not have been able to pull those Gs in a continued rate fight.

5:05 surely turning rate is probably also dependent on air pressure - height above sea level, temperature, wind conditions. I feel like those could dramatically affect the best turn rate.

When the missiles run out, it's good to know our most numerous fighter can hold its own against the best.
I'd love to see a dogfight between the Su-57 and the YF-23 at some point. It's obvious I'm a fan of the Gray Ghost, and so far the Raptor is the only one that seems to stand a chance against it, but I'd like to see how Russia's best can fare.

DCS should also implement some "Head forward" mechanic when pulling Gs. I don't think you are going to be able to look back like at a steep upwards angle when pulling 7 Gs . I'd love to see how that would influence the fights.

Better check your luggage with those giant holes in your fuselage and, no apparent flight interruption. You'll need to replace your Fruit of the Loom underwear (that includes the pair you're wearing).
