    WRITTEN RECIPE:
    ➜ Ingredients:
    Marinade:
    1 tbsp light brown sugar
    1 tbsp light soy sauce
    1 tbsp dark soy sauce
    2 tbsp fish sauce
    2 tbsp cooking oil
    1 tbsp oyster sauce
    1 tbsp honey
    1/4 tsp black pepper
    3 cloves garlic, crushed
    3 tbsp shallots, minced
    3 tbsp lemongrass, minced
    Rest of dish:
    4 bone-in pork loin chops
    Cooking spray
    To serve:
    Vermicelli
    Sliced cucumbers
    Do chua
    Herbs
    Crushed peanuts
    Nuoc mam sauce
    ➜ Instructions:
    1) Pound both sides of the pork chops with a meat mallet or back of a cleaver to tenderize the meat. Cut 2-3 slips on the side of each pork chop to prevent them from curling during the cooking process
    2) In a bowl, add all the marinade ingredients and mix until well blended
    3) Transfer the pork chops into a ziploc bag or dish, then pour the marinade onto the pork chops. Coat until well incorporated, then marinate in the fridge overnight (flipping occasionally)
    4) Prior to cooking, remove pork chops 20 minutes from the fridge to allow them to return to room temperature
    5) Spray air fryer basket with cooking oil
    6) Transfer pork chops onto basket, them spray surface of pork chops with cooking oil
    7) Air fry at 400 deg F for 7 minutes, then flip, spray with more cooking oil and air fry for another 5 minutes
    8) Place pork chops on cutting board to rest for 5 minutes
    9) Serve chops over cooked vermicelli, accompanied by nuoc mam sauce, and optionally, cucumbers, do chua, mint, basil & crushed peanuts. Enjoy!

    1) Air frying time and temperature may vary depending on the make and model of your air fryer, as well as the thickness of your pork chops.

    I have to give you your flowers. I have tried a lot of different recipes for this. They’ve been pretty good but this is definitely the best I ever made. The flavors are hitting so right. Finger licking good. Thank you.

    I’ve tried this! The marinade was so good. I put it in a ziplock overnight (I like to massage the meat every now and then so they can really soak it all in). I also use pork shoulder bc I like how juicy it is. Thanks for the recipe! Hope we get more air fryer videos. ❤

    Sounds yummy as usual. Haven’t ever tried it before. Love when you use an air fryer. You are right about time and temp. When I make your char siu recipe my power Xl is set to 350 to keep from drying out the meat. I plan to make some this weekend because I only get 1 weekend off a month. Keep up the great work.

    Hi hi! I attempted to cook the marinated Viet porkchops on the stove. Oh my, I burnt them! LOL I still have yet to replace my air fryer, sigh. Lesson learned, NEED AIR FRYER! LOL Yes, and I'll be waiting patiently for the nuoc mam recipe. That must be the secret ingredient.

    You have to call it (suon nuong) thit nuong is just slices of the pork. (Suon means bone) if you order (thit nuong) in a Vietnamese restaurant you won’t get a pork chop.
