I think that is where the enemy underestimates us. They are use to citizens that kneel to their rules and just except whatever their government tells them to do, so they may think they can come here and do the same to us, BUT...if they ever hit this soil, they won't have just our military to defeat (which in itself will be a very difficult undertaking) but they will have a vast majority or armed civilians to defeat as well who will be out there backing up our military.

I saw that you could tell right away that Lee wasnt just singing a song here, he was boldly and unashamedly declaring his love for the country that gave him everything. Thats a powerful thing, and it was really nice to see that it had an impact.
When the original version of this song came out in '84, we had been underway for several months and hadn't heard any recent music in quite a while. We had just finished our final refueling before coming home and was breaking away, when the other ship started playing this song over the loud speakers. Our captain stopped the break away so we could finish listening to it. By the time it ended, we all had tears on our cheeks and fists in the air. You could hear our war cry ten miles away! Great song…so happy for you two to enjoy America and great patriotic music. Many years ago, John Philip Sousa wrote fabulous patriotic music!! My parents immigrated to America in 1926 (my father) and my mother in 1929. They were so very, very proud to be Americans!❤️🇺🇸❤️
I had the privilege to hear Lee Greenwood sing this song at Harbor Fest Festival In Norfolk, Virginia years ago. Norfolk is home to the world’s largest Naval Base and a lot of military personnel and their families were in attendance and EVERYONE was singing along with him. It was a sight to behold for sure. Our country is not without it’s faults and we do have more than our fair share of loud mouths but I know the majority of us are hardworking good folks who would give the shirt off their backs to help someone in need. We are only strong when we work together for the GOOD of mankind.
This song hits me differently because my Company Commander HT1 Mayfield played this song during one of our rifle drills in Navy boot camp in 1985. Tears welled up in his eyes, showing me and the other recruits that he had a soft side behind his tough persona. I also remember when my ship blasted it from the loudspeakers when we returned from the Persian Gulf in 1987. Our families could hear it on the pier!😊😊
We have so much to sing about. Our freedom is a wonderful thing & it’s nothing to squander. I love this song & others about the USA. We have an incredible mix-Old Order Amish to people who blow the roof off the IQ tests. The best part, they & we are all citizens.
Lee Greenwood wrote and recorded this in 1984 - and his voice is just as strong today!

I’m American and I always have tears in my eyes whenever I listen to this song 😅 thank you for your reaction! ❤🇺🇸🥰
Love to Sweden from Iceland. Sweden is always the best friend to Iceland when we are in need.!
This song (the original) was a #1 hit when I was a young adult. Still brings tears to my eyes.
I’m an American and it makes me cry every time I hear it❤
We have so much to sing about. Our freedom is a wonderful thing & it’s nothing to squander. I love this song & others about the USA. We have an incredible mix-Old Order Amish to people who blow the roof off the IQ tests. The best part, they & we are all citizens.
❤ you guys. Thank you for your support. America would be very lucky to have you here.
