When this song came out. I was deployed with the United States Army after 911. I came home on leave, and my amazing wife had tickets for Toby Keith live in our hometown. That song was perfect for the time. We were as a country both angry, and unified like never before. Toby told it like it was in no uncertain terms.Today my youngest child is deployed in the Middle East protecting Israel and the interests of the USA. I am proud, terrified, and still angry. Thank you for your video. God bless you, Toby Keith and the United States of America.
They can never really know the sacrifice we USA citizens make, but those whose familles have served for generations know. We know your pain. Our military who have fought to make a safer world. Do they even realize? God bring him home safe.
Rest In Paradise Toby Keith. Thank you for your contributions to our world. A fine example of patriotism through music. Thank you for sharing this with us. Love your reaction videos. Please keep making them. ❤
Toby wrote this after 9/11 (the big black eye). Toby is the best & his song 'American soldier' is also amazing. Totally different vibe. I know you would love it. FYi~ we call our flag 'Old Glory'. 'Uncle Sam' represents our military. Toby performed for troops all over the world, in over 20 countries. He can also make you laugh out loud. Check out 'Good as I once was' or; How do you like me now?' for some laughs.

My father was the triage doctor at a MASH unit in Vietnam. Like your husband, he had a lot of exposure to agent orange on soldiers right off the battlefield. He died of it five years ago. Thank you to your husband for his service.
It’s really something special to be American. I’m a first generation American. Both of my parents (Polish, Catholic) were in Nazi camps during WW2. Both were liberated by US soldiers (the fierce 82nd Airborne🪂). Then after 4 years in refugee (Displaced Persons) camps in Germany, they emigrated to the US. My father joined the US Army after learning English and graduating from high school and was sworn in as an American citizen while stationed in Korea. Years later, my own son joined the Army and served in the very same 82nd Airborne that had rescued my parents from certain death. My son went on to earn a combat badge in Afghanistan. American patriotism is euphoric. Anyone can be American. Being a first generation American does not make me less American than George Bush or the Pilgrims of 1620. We are a country of scrappy underdogs. Don’t believe the news or media. Americanism is unity and heroism and humbleness and some self-deprecating humor.
Toby was a great country and American icon. He was 62 years old when he passed away on February 5th and his birthday was July 8th. He actually at first never planned to record this song but only play it for the troops. Commandant of the Marine Corps James L. Jones told Toby it was his duty as an American citizen to record the song. "It's your job as an entertainer to lift the morale of the troops," Jones said to Toby. "If you want to serve, that is what you can do" R.I.P. Toby Keith.
Perfect combination of reactions to this song, he looks like hes getting pumped up and a bit patriotic she ready to burst into tears. And by the last of it he has tears in his eyes too.

I think you nailed it when you said that the US military forces are not just out there defending US interests but fighting for freedom from oppression across the globe. While the States are struggling with massive division between liberals and conservatives at the moment, our Constitution is still the bedrock of our country and should be considered as a model for other freedom loving people around the world. Do we get it right all the time? Who does? But you can't look at the US and not see the positive impacts made around the world.

I remember exactly where I was when 9/11 happened & it brought us together, as a people, more than anything else in my lifetime! Much different from today! Alot of our young people today just have no idea how very very fortunate they are to be Americans, or what it means to be an American! I don't know why, but patriotism is no longer being promoted in our schools & it is so sad! If you've never visited America, I hope you can one day! We'd love to have you here!❤ 🇺🇸❤

Guess I'm aging myself, but my Dad fought in Italy in WWII. He drilled into me to ALWAYS thank a seviceman for their service. My Uncle was one of the paratroopers from the101st Airborne that landed on Normandy. He was shot. Another Uncle was in the Battle of the Bulge. He died. When my dad passed away, I took his "veteran" plate off his car and put it on mine in remembrance. I was going to visit his grave one day. There was a group of servicemen at another grave. When they saw that veteran plate, they came down to road, lined up, and saluted me. I burst into tears and felt bad. It wasn't for me. So in my mind, it was for my Dad. I'll never know who they were. But I thank every serviceman on here for their service. 🇺🇸 Thank you, Miss Carol and Mr Recky, for this reaction! 🇺🇸
As a American i luv watching people from other countries show love to us instead of the hateful their loud and fat and rude ..we ARE NOT !! Ok some are but most are so friendly as a American i send u my love from Massachusetts
Great reaction! He wrote this for his father, and performed it for the troops, but when 9-11 happened the military asked him to record it, and I’m so happy he did.
This song was written in response to the attack on American on 9/11 ! Angry ! Yes we were angry ! But we stood up and fought back ! As Americans always will ! 🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️
Hey there American here. This song was written by Toby after the 9/11 attack. Courtney of the red, white, and blue is a statement on us hunting down the ones responsible for the lives lost. Thanks for your respect! 🫵😜
Hello Carol and Recky! I am wearing your "This is not a cooking show" T-Shirt with both of your faces on it wearing chef's hats today!! What a coincidence! Many people ask me about the T-shirt also! RIP Toby Keith. Welcome Sweden to NATO also!
Toby wrote this after 9-11 and at first only performed it when playing for soldiers. A General told him he had to record it. That it was his duty to put that song out. He recorded it and here we are. As an American who still feels all the emotions whenever reminded of 9-11, this song as well brings the after emotions we felt as a nation. Toby's song was our voice of response to those responsible and anyone else that wanted to FA&FO.
As an old American Army officer, veteran of the 1st Gulf War, to an ally, simply thank you for appreciating this genius and his song, RIP Toby Keith and for recognizing the sacrifices our men and women make every day in service to not only our country, but to the world.
Toby Keith was born, raised, and died in Moore, Oklahoma - the place with the EF5 twister. In several video shots from that day you can see the huge, white, balloon-shaped water tower that says Moore on it. What you don’t see is that it also says “Home of Toby Keith” and he was ‘Oklahoma strong’ and a true patriot. Enjoyed this. ❤
This was written after 911, and he was a proud American! RIP Toby!

Recky, an angry American soldier is only dangerous to his enemy. Most are honorable people, who have a sense of justice and want to help, and defend our freedom.
The man who sang this song....was a proud american.....mr toby keith...RIP
I love y’all’s videos! Y’all are so respectful and kind honestly more than so many Americans. We love y’all! Sending love from the great state of Georgia! May God bless y’all! 🙏❤️🙏
Thank you, Miss Carol and Mr Recky, for this reaction!
Love your shirt. I live in Toccoa, GA! I saw Toby Keith sing this live the first time he ever sang it. It was in Hiawassee, GA in early November 2001
This song was written in response to the attack on American on 9/11 ! Angry ! Yes we were angry ! But we stood up and fought back ! As Americans always will ! 🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️
😅I served 20 years and miss Tony so much. What a patriot
Thank you for loving our soldiers
Hey there American here. This song was written by Toby after the 9/11 attack. Courtney of the red, white, and blue is a statement on us hunting down the ones responsible for the lives lost. Thanks for your respect! 🫵😜
Thank you... Blessings to all the freedom loving people of the world !! ❤ Pennsylvania USA
Hello Carol and Recky! I am wearing your "This is not a cooking show" T-Shirt with both of your faces on it wearing chef's hats today!! What a coincidence! Many people ask me about the T-shirt also! RIP Toby Keith. Welcome Sweden to NATO also!
Thank y'all for doing this one! I cry everytime I hear this one. ❤ cheers from north Texas and have a fabulous weekend!!!
It took me a couple of days to get ,,,,,,, to watch a retired veteran GOD BLESS
Don't worry Recky, as an American we will fight side by side as brothers when needed..!!!
Loooved yur reaction. Americans r firece warriors. Luv u guys here from America
I’m an American from Alabama. That song is a favorite of mine & always makes me emotional. Thank you both for loving our country❤️
Toby was very patriotic and did a lot of tours for our troups.
Toby was so selfless and an amazing person to our soldiers
Wow you guys are opening my eyes ti great music and a true appreciation of the USA
Another good job👍👍
God Bless YOU BOTH
Thank you! 🇺🇸🙏
