Rest In Paradise Toby Keith. Thank you for your contributions to our world. A fine example of patriotism through music. Thank you for sharing this with us. Love your reaction videos. Please keep making them. ❤
Toby wrote this after 9/11 (the big black eye). Toby is the best & his song 'American soldier' is also amazing. Totally different vibe. I know you would love it. FYi~ we call our flag 'Old Glory'. 'Uncle Sam' represents our military. Toby performed for troops all over the world, in over 20 countries. He can also make you laugh out loud. Check out 'Good as I once was' or; How do you like me now?' for some laughs.
When this song came out. I was deployed with the United States Army after 911. I came home on leave, and my amazing wife had tickets for Toby Keith live in our hometown. That song was perfect for the time. We were as a country both angry, and unified like never before. Toby told it like it was in no uncertain terms.Today my youngest child is deployed in the Middle East protecting Israel and the interests of the USA. I am proud, terrified, and still angry. Thank you for your video. God bless you, Toby Keith and the United States of America.
Toby was a great country and American icon. He was 62 years old when he passed away on February 5th and his birthday was July 8th. He actually at first never planned to record this song but only play it for the troops. Commandant of the Marine Corps James L. Jones told Toby it was his duty as an American citizen to record the song. "It's your job as an entertainer to lift the morale of the troops," Jones said to Toby. "If you want to serve, that is what you can do" R.I.P. Toby Keith.
My husband is a Vietnam Veteran who has had agent orange cancer. He served when others didn’t and left the country and some protested. He return home and was called names. He was a medic who saved lives. Those vets still don’t get the respect they deserve. Thank you for all you said. RIP Toby, you were and always will be the best!!!! God Bless our service men and women. I am a Navy Wife, Air Force Mom, Army Sister Granddaughter, Great Granddaughter and niece, Marine Aunt and Great Aunt
Thanks to your husband and all of your relatives for their service. And thank YOU for YOUR service. Family members of military personnel also serve, albeit in a different way, which many don't realize.
Thanks to your husband and all of your relatives for their service. And thank YOU for YOUR service. Family members of military personnel also serve, albeit in a different way, which many don't realize.
My father was the triage doctor at a MASH unit in Vietnam. Like your husband, he had a lot of exposure to agent orange on soldiers right off the battlefield. He died of it five years ago. Thank you to your husband for his service.
It’s really something special to be American. I’m a first generation American. Both of my parents (Polish, Catholic) were in Nazi camps during WW2. Both were liberated by US soldiers (the fierce 82nd Airborne🪂). Then after 4 years in refugee (Displaced Persons) camps in Germany, they emigrated to the US. My father joined the US Army after learning English and graduating from high school and was sworn in as an American citizen while stationed in Korea. Years later, my own son joined the Army and served in the very same 82nd Airborne that had rescued my parents from certain death. My son went on to earn a combat badge in Afghanistan. American patriotism is euphoric. Anyone can be American. Being a first generation American does not make me less American than George Bush or the Pilgrims of 1620. We are a country of scrappy underdogs. Don’t believe the news or media. Americanism is unity and heroism and humbleness and some self-deprecating humor.
I'm a U.S. military veteran and my husband is a combat veteran four times over. Thank you so much for your respect for our country and for our military. Especially in these times when America is being tested like never before by internal strife. Former First Lady Laura Bush did not allow Toby Keith to sing this song on the 4th of July Celebration. She said it was violent and we needed to forgive as a Nation. PERSONALLY: Americans need to keep this song and several others like Lee Greenwood ( God Bless the USA), Aaron Tippin ( You've Got To Stand For Something ). Thank you for posting❤
I think that she didn't want that song played, because of the fact that her husband was the one who failed America and allowed 9/11 to happen, and this song shows it.The warnings were there but and his Administration chose not to listen, not just my opinion if you do the proper research, the reports about probable terrorist attacks was on Bush's desk unread more than a week before 9/11 .He and Trump have something in common, they didn't read the daily briefing reports ,the irony that his wife was a librarian. Yes I know what I am talking about because I know someone who worked in the White house and has now retired.
My daddy was a soldier in the Vietnam War. My sister and I are so proud of him. My dad flies the red, white, and blue, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. He has spotlights on it, so it's never in the dark. I am proud to be an American Veterans daughter ❤🤍💙
Saw a Toby Kieth concert, in khandahar. Yep. Dude was going around Afghanistan doing little concerts for the troops. Soooooo much respect all the way around.
I worked for Morgan Stanley, the largest tenant in the World Trade Center. I was in Chicago, watching New York and seeing something I still can’t believe. This song probably hits most Americans the same way. Freedom is worth fighting for and this song says it all.
My late father was career Navy. He fought in World War 2, the Korean War and Vietnam. He was military back when it wasn’t popular “. I never heard anyone thank him for his service. My mother basically raised my two brothers and myself by herself while he was on his world tours. It was the only life we ever knew growing up. When I became an adult, I made it a point to send him a card for Veterans Day every year until his passing in 2015. RIP Pop. Thank you for your service❣️
Thanks to your father for his service. Whenever I see someone wearing a veteran hat like korea or vietnam I go out of my way to say thank you for your service
I watch every reaction I come across on this song by Toby because I was privileged to see him in concert at a rodeo in Dallas. He sang this song to the cheers from the crowd after 9/11. You're the only Swedes I've come across that have reacted. Since I'm part Swedish, I watched and subscribed. Thanks for this one. Bless you and may Toby rest in peace. When you react to "American Soldier" I don't want to miss it.
Toby wrote this song after his father passed away shortly after 9/11. He never intended to record it. Just play it for the troops but the Commandant of the Marine Corps told him you need to record it for everyone to hear.😊
Hey there American here. This song was written by Toby after the 9/11 attack. Courtney of the red, white, and blue is a statement on us hunting down the ones responsible for the lives lost. Thanks for your respect! 🫵😜
Thank you Recky and Carol for always acknowledging the bravery of our soldiers. My son enlisted in 2000, Bush was in my town when it happened and I was across the street from Air Force one having physical therapy, but saw the planes hit on tv. And yes iam from New York. #bringthemhome

Hi Recky and Carol, This is my first time sitting in with the two of you, I have sat in with Recky before, thank you for allowing me to sit in with you. I enjoyed the time I spent here and I thought your reaction was very heartfelt and it touched me deeply!
America is a diverse culture. We might fight amongst ourselves, but let somebody attack us and we come together as a united front! Thank you for always being supportive of those who have and are serving in our military. My father and my mother served in World War II in the Navy. After the war, my father enlisted in the Air Force and served for 30 years during that time he served in the Korean War and Vietnam! Thank you to all who are serving and have served and have given their lives for this country!
This song is what brought me to love country. And even more importantly as an American, I love the fact that you guys acknowledge and appreciate what America does.
Toby was a huge supporter of our military. I actually saw him perform twice. Once in Kosovo and once in Iraq. I hope he is hanging out with a whole bunch of country stars, drinking, singing, and telling stories! RIP Toby, you are missed.
My cousin did two tours of Vietnam and my oldest brother one. Nephews and friends were in Desert Storm, my daddy and my step dad were army and navy. Thank you both from this old Texas woman's heart for your reaction.
Toby wrote this after 9-11 and at first only performed it when playing for soldiers. A General told him he had to record it. That it was his duty to put that song out. He recorded it and here we are. As an American who still feels all the emotions whenever reminded of 9-11, this song as well brings the after emotions we felt as a nation. Toby's song was our voice of response to those responsible and anyone else that wanted to FA&FO.
Guess I'm aging myself, but my Dad fought in Italy in WWII. He drilled into me to ALWAYS thank a seviceman for their service. My Uncle was one of the paratroopers from the101st Airborne that landed on Normandy. He was shot. Another Uncle was in the Battle of the Bulge. He died. When my dad passed away, I took his "veteran" plate off his car and put it on mine in remembrance. I was going to visit his grave one day. There was a group of servicemen at another grave. When they saw that veteran plate, they came down to road, lined up, and saluted me. I burst into tears and felt bad. It wasn't for me. So in my mind, it was for my Dad. I'll never know who they were. But I thank every serviceman on here for their service. 🇺🇸 Thank you, Miss Carol and Mr Recky, for this reaction! 🇺🇸

I just stumbled across your channel & I LOVE IT! I live in a small town in the state of Georgia. I haven't heard this song in a long time, and this brought back so many memories for me! I remember exactly where I was when 9/11 happened & it brought us together, as a people, more than anything else in my lifetime! Much different from today! Alot of our young people today just have no idea how very very fortunate they are to be Americans, or what it means to be an American! I don't know why, but patriotism is no longer being promoted in our schools & it is so sad! If you've never visited America, I hope you can one day! We'd love to have you here!❤ 🇺🇸❤
I love y’all’s videos! Y’all are so respectful and kind honestly more than so many Americans. We love y’all! Sending love from the great state of Georgia! May God bless y’all! 🙏❤️🙏
My Dad was a Pearl Harber survivor. We were able to lay Him to rest on December 7 in Pearl Harbor off a Pier where he served. He was honored for his part in defending the Naval fleet at Pearl Harber that day. As His kids we were so proud of his 20 Year Naval Career, we Thank you Dad, and thank you to the Naval Volunteers who created such a beautiful day for us as we spread His Ashes in the Harber also on December 7 so many years later.
My roommate is from the same town in Oklahoma as Toby Keith, and went to the same church. She has nothing bur wonderful things to say about him and his family. I love this song!!! Recky, an angry American soldier is only dangerous to his enemy. Most are honorable people, who have a sense of justice and want to help, and defend our freedom.
@ReckyandCarol great reaction! Toby wrote this song right after the 9-11 attacks in the US. Everyone was angry about the massive amount of loss of lives. It was a very sad time & lead to anger. He also lost his father earlier in the same year. The song did not have ‘Angry American’ in the name, the FEC made it be added a few years after song was released as “Courtesy of the Red,White and Blue”. Toby went into war zone, very dangerous just to lift the troops spirits. He insisted on paying his own way. A great American Patriot. Toby is missed tremendously. May he RIP. A LEGEND lost too soon. 😢 Almost forgot, please react to Toby’s official video “American Soldier”. I think you both will really like it. Thanks friends.
I love watching your videos It makes my heart feel good that you guys love our culture and our energy and how much we love our country that flag means everything to me and when I see people burning it in the streets it hurts 💔🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
My husband was in the Navy & in the first battle group to respond to the middle eat when the 9/11 attacks happened. A lot of these songs that were written in reaction to it are very dear to my heart.
As a American i luv watching people from other countries show love to us instead of the hateful their loud and fat and rude ..we ARE NOT !! Ok some are but most are so friendly as a American i send u my love from Massachusetts
RIP Toby Keith! I love his passion for our armed forces he has done alot for our military! And this came out after 9/11! I also love your channel and of you thinking of us Americans! Bless you 🙏 ❤🇺🇸🇺🇸❤️
Enjoyed reading the comments as much as listening to Toby. So many patriots here and I grew up with them in our family. Our newest member of the Air Force is our grandson. Now we fight within to retain our freedoms from a very corrupt administration. But we fight! ❤...
Toby Keith was born, raised, and died in Moore, Oklahoma - the place with the EF5 twister. In several video shots from that day you can see the huge, white, balloon-shaped water tower that says Moore on it. What you don’t see is that it also says “Home of Toby Keith” and he was ‘Oklahoma strong’ and a true patriot. Enjoyed this. ❤
This was written after 911, and he was a proud American! RIP Toby!
I think he wrote it in 1 day and recorded it immediately.

Hi Recky and Carol. I am a proud American I do agree with you both about what you said. God bless you both.
You two are great. Thank you for your appreciation of the US. You are more patriotic than a lot of Americans.
❤

I come from an American military family, and it's nice to hear that not everyone hates us. Thank you.

I’m an American from Alabama. That song is a favorite of mine & always makes me emotional. Thank you both for loving our country❤️
Thank you for the kind reaction, I am sure you are as proud of your country as we are of ours.
Hey to you 2. Southeast Texas subscriber here - love the content. 👍💛
Toby Keith true American, will never be forgotten rip
My Dad was a Pearl Harber survivor. We were able to lay Him to rest on December 7 in Pearl Harbor off a Pier where he served. He was honored for his part in defending the Naval fleet at Pearl Harber that day. As His kids we were so proud of his 20 Year Naval Career, we Thank you Dad, and thank you to the Naval Volunteers who created such a beautiful day for us as we spread His Ashes in the Harber also on December 7 so many years later.
Carol and Reckey, I love your reactions and comments to Toby Keith singing Courtesy of the Red White and Blue , " The angry American"❤❤❤❤
the first concert i ever had taken by kids to and they still talk about it today,
You guys do the best reaction videos. You never pause or interrupt the video. Keep up the good work.
Almost forgot, please react to Toby’s official video “American Soldier”. I think you both will really like it. Thanks friends.
I love watching your videos It makes my heart feel good that you guys love our culture and our energy and how much we love our country that flag means everything to me and when I see people burning it in the streets it hurts 💔🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
Loved Toby Keith❤Rest in Paradise ❤
My husband was in the Navy & in the first battle group to respond to the middle eat when the 9/11 attacks happened. A lot of these songs that were written in reaction to it are very dear to my heart.
As a American i luv watching people from other countries show love to us instead of the hateful their loud and fat and rude ..we ARE NOT !! Ok some are but most are so friendly as a American i send u my love from Massachusetts
Fuck! That song always makes me tear up with pride.
Every. Single. Time ❤🤍💙🇺🇸

Every male member of my Family served in US military. They served in the Army, Navy, Airforce Marines, National Gruard. Love this song.
We love y'all so much and thank you for loving the USA
My dad passed in 2017. He was an air force veteran and a proud one. Thank you Carol and Recky for your support. Your american in my eyes.
This was after 9/11.
Enjoyed reading the comments as much as listening to Toby. So many patriots here and I grew up with them in our family. Our newest member of the Air Force is our grandson. Now we fight within to retain our freedoms from a very corrupt administration. But we fight! ❤...
My veteran❤still finds it hard because he was a true American Hero😢rip toby; our gift to him is to keep his music alive, so thank yall for this👩✈️
Toby Keith was born, raised, and died in Moore, Oklahoma - the place with the EF5 twister. In several video shots from that day you can see the huge, white, balloon-shaped water tower that says Moore on it. What you don’t see is that it also says “Home of Toby Keith” and he was ‘Oklahoma strong’ and a true patriot. Enjoyed this. ❤
