Lee Greenwood is the older gentleman who started the song. He wrote it in the 80’s and it’s been a huge hit for him. The other men who were not in uniform are from the group Home Free. They are a tremendous a cappella group (no instruments) who sing all genres of music. They’ve sung this song before and Lee wanted to do another rendition so he called Home Free and they contacted the US Air Force Singing Sergeants and they were in uniform. This was during Covid so they weren’t together. The bass of Home Free (Texas) has a very low voice and can sing super low. The beatboxer was doing the drum sounds with his mouth. So glad you enjoyed it. It’s one of my favorites!!! 🥰

Yes, it was planned. 👍😉 Actually, each person who recognized a state by name is really from that state...and Adam Chance, the guy who sang, "from sea to shining sea" was born/raised on the Gulf coast and now lives in California (on the west coast)! Pretty cool, huh? 💞😍
And of course the guy from Minnesota is named "Lundquist", a typical Scandinavian name since about a third of Minnesotans are Scandinavian. There are lots of Lundquists here.

You have just got your first taste of my favorite acapella group Home Free. They are amazing (men not in uniform) every one of their songs are wonderful.
Hope you get a chance to react to Home Free's version of "Brothers in Arms", a Dire Straits cover. Home Free are the gentlemen in civilian clothes singing with Lee Greenwood. They are a vocal band that bring a whole new dimension to the A Capella genre. Thank you for the wonderful reaction.
Home Free are an amazing Country A Cappella group all the “drums “ is their Beatboxer Adam Rupp,Tim Foust is their bass. Lee Greenwood released this in 1984 he version is really good. The United States Air Force band sounded amazing Home Free actually did a version of this without Lee Greenwood too I hope You react to more Home Free and Lee Greenwood they are amazing talent
At 65 years old, having National Pride isn't what it was when I was younger! It makes my heart swell with love for these men, who not only SING this song masterfully, but with meaning for every line in it! Lee Greenwood, Sir, you are a Master at songwriting and sing your words beautifully! The combination of these three groups is sheer perfection and I am taken back to much better times, when America was a much better place! The people themselves haven't changed! But, the Federal Government has left the people! For all of you really good Democrats; please stop voting your heart and vote with some common sense! We need to get America back on the right track! We need to be the Country that our forefathers prayed for and believed we would be! We need to remember what we have lived through and put GOD back in our schools and COUNTRY! WE must be a COUNTRY with borders and stop this insanity that the WOKE MINORITY, who would like for us to believe that they are the MAJORITY, is trying very decietfully to cram down our throats! DO NOT believe them! There are only a handful of them but they are loud and crude! This makes the world believe that is what AMERICA is made up of! Well! It is NOT! Let us, with GOD'S help, get back to the America of Thomas Jefferson and the men, who so valiantly stood up for Freedom; who so valiantly stood up for the dream of AMERICA! This lovely song, with every beautiful note, describes what America was and still is! Thank you for a wonderfully heartfelt reaction! It is right on target and very appreciated!

The original song, Lee Greenwood, was my Kindergarten graduation song (1985 😬) we had a whole thing and sang the song in an elementary school gym with all our parents there. I know, I know it’s weird but there was a time that America was wholesome and we truly did love our country. Thank you, for reacting to this and reminding me of that night/time so many many years ago. ❤
Just a FYI Lee Greenwood had asked the a capella group Home Free to do this with him and the singing Sargents was a blessing what a great calabrian of very talented artists to do this together. Have a blessed day great reaction.
Virginian here, 22 year Navy Retired, I saw your reaction to the Star Spangled Banner, our anthem. I understood your pausing as it's not "YOUR" anthem. But I give Every Anthem the respect for that country and her service persons. Mine is just the one that brings tears to my eyes.
Jono, welcome to Home Free. They did an amazing collab here. Their all acapella music is phenomenal. I would love to see you react to a serious song of theirs "Brothers in Arms" and a silly video on their part but a great song called "Brother".
Isn't this just beautiful :) I listen to this version all the time when I walk at night. I am excited because I just found out that Home Free is coming to our State fair here in Indiana soon so I will get to see them live for the first time!!!
Just remember, all instrumental sounds are made by voice. As other commenters have mentioned, the 5 men not in uniform are the best a Capella group, Home Free. Great reaction!
Thank you, Jono, for your reaction to the song. I served in the US military for 20 years and have lived all over the world (I live in Turkey now!). This song beautifully describes the feelings I have for the USA. They are feelings of gratefulness.
Ok, Glad you enjoyed the song, The man you like that sang about TX, is Tim Foust, of the A Cappella group, Home Free. Tim is one of few bass sings that can go that low. Just misses the last few keys on the low end of a full piano. Tim sings 5 octaves. Tim has broke speakers, live on stage. The group is great. There was no interment's used in this song. It was all the groups voices, including the drums. Adam Rupp the beat boxer. Go lesion to, Man of Constant Sorrow. A good way to start with them. Another would be Johnny Cashes, Ring of Fire. You will get stuck on them, and lots of help from the Home Fries, Their following. Tims low stuff. Go hear, Brothers in Arms, You will feel it through the song.
I've had the privilege of hearing Lee Greenwood perform this song live and it is an incredible experience. The swell of patriotism from the crowd is spiritual, I swear. I have not heard this version before. Love it! 🇺🇲❤️🇺🇲
Thank you for your very nice comments about God bless the USA. I think you would enjoy the Sandi Patty version of The Star-Spangled Banner. Her 4 octave range is incredible!
Omg- my late husbands business had a dinner and entertainment in Birmingham Alabama for other Industrial Distributors across the southeast. Lee Greenwood was our entertainment. Awesome. A few of us ladies got to go backstage. Mr Greenwood thanked my husband to allow him to perform for all of us (how humble is that??). He gave me a hug and his cologne was all over my blouse. One of the women that didn’t go backstage wanted my blouse so bad I had to give her my blouse when we got home. Incredibly and genuinely nice, humble man.
This is my first time seeing your channel and now I’m a subscriber because of your awesome reaction!! Looking forward to seeing more of your content. God bless you ❤
I also got to see Lee Greenwood sing this live a number of years back when he was still touring. Great song. Also, thank you for your sensitivity around interrupting the national anthem. That is pretty much the only song that people will object to you stopping to comment. Other songs like this one, wouldn’t have that same “rule”. Having said that, it is nice to hear songs that have a patriotic theme sung through without interruption. Not a requirement though. Love your channel and your reactions. 😊
I'm 74. My grandfathers served in France in WW1, my dad in the Pacific in WW2, my brother and I in Viet Nam and my brothers son in Iraq (sadly, RIP). Love this great country, the leader of the free world. thanks for posting.
This is one of my favorite songs and this version immediately took the top spot. The younger guys that aren't in uniform are the A Capella group Home Free and are probably the most talented musicians I've ever seen. This version had no instruments. The percussion and even the jet flyover sound at the end were all the vocal percussionist Adam Rupp from the group. If you're impressed by them, they have so many songs and videos available on UA-cam. It's a rabbit hole I never regretted finding. Thank you for your reaction!
I am 70 yrs old and every time I hear this song I cry, I am from a long line of patriot ancestors, all the way from the Revolution War, Civil War, WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and Iraq…this song embodies what my family’s blood has, done and will do for our country, GOD BLESS the USA 🇺🇸
This was produced during the pandemic, so performers were in each of the locales shown at the beginning. That's why you see the different conductors and various studios. Homefree, a completely accapello group, makes every musical sound through their beatboxer; even the drums! This is a combination of the American Air Force Band, Lee Greenwood, and HOMEFREE! The bass is Tim Foust, from Texas and has a 5 octave range! His tenor is as awesome as is his bass! Fantastic Song!!!
The first time I remember hearing "God Bless the USA" was in 1987, and I was driving cross country to pick my husband up from Army Basic Training. It is one of the best songs ever written and recorded. This song has always brought tears to my eyes. This new version is even better!! I loved watching your face as you listened. I am so glad I came across your video.
Late in the 80’s I (Canadian) spent a summer in Charleston, South Carolina. On July 4 I watched in awe the incredible patriotism of 1000’s of people standing with hand on hearts, singing and cheering with tears in their eyes while this song played on all the speakers as spectacular fireworks were timed to this song. Brought tears to my eyes and I’ll never forget it.
I'm listening to this on the eve of the 4th of July and I'm in tears. This country means so much to me and I have to believe its because most all of my ancestors came here in the 1600s and helped to build this beautiful nation. They also fought in every war and conflict we've had. God Bless the USA!
I happen to be watching this on July 4th, our Independence Day. Most Americans love our country. Today, there are men and women still fighting for our freedom. I could never disrespect them. I'm happy you did this reaction. Thank you.
Something that may not have been said yet is the beatboxer did the sound of a flyover at the end. It's subtle, but once you know it's there, you can hear it.

When I went through US Navy Basic training in Great Lakes in 1996. The Drill Instructors played this to us while we were working together on PT. It broke the toughest of us down and we sang this together in tears. Stands out to me as the moment we came together as US Navy Sailors and what we were here for. A coming together moment that broke us away from who we were when we arrived to who we would be as the defenders of our nation. God Bless the USA!

The United States Air Force band sounded amazing
Home Free actually did a version of this without Lee Greenwood too
I hope You react to more Home Free and Lee Greenwood they are amazing talent
This song brings me to tears with pride
@@sheliaspringer7389 Just STOP with your political rant. Those of us who have common sense and love for this country want good, decent people with ethics and morals and want the best for everyone know exactly how and who to vote for.
@@katw3070 If what you have lived in, over the last couple of years doesn't frighten you to death, then you need to open your eyes and LOOK at this complete mess the United
States is in! We are as low as we have ever been, with the Worst President we have ever had! Open your eyes!
There were no instruments used, all of the percussion you were hearing was being done by Home Free's world class beatboxer Adam Rupp.
This song was also a big hit back during the Desert Storm war kicking Iraq out of Kuwait during the early 90s.
As an United states marine my heart swells with so much love and PRIDE for my country and patriotism the happiest I feel is indescribable. God Bless.
Thank you for your service!
@@PinkHawk191 It was a pleasure, both the hard times and good.
I'm Proud Too Be American GOD BLESS THE USA Amen And Happy 4Th Of July Everyone And Amazing Homefree AndLee Greenwood And Others Loved it
No instruments so much skill. As a retired Airforce man this makes me very proud.
Yes it gives me goose bumps 😊😊😊
Goose bumps every time I hear this song! God bless the USA!
You should take a listen to Home Free - they have many, many good songs as vocal band.
The day my son left for basic training, they played this song. I bawled. 4 years later, he is now a Staff Sargent for the USAF 🇺🇸 God Bless the USA!
Your timing is actually pretty good. We will be celebrating July 4 this week which is of course our Independence Day so I’d say good on ya!!
This American thank you. We are proud of our people 😊🇺🇸
Ok, Glad you enjoyed the song, The man you like that sang about TX, is Tim Foust, of the A Cappella group, Home Free.
First time hearing this version and I loved it.
Greetings from the U.S. Thank you so much for your kind words. It means so much to know that there are people in other countries who love America too.
I see you, like me, was brushing off goosebemps. What a beautiful rendition
This is my first time seeing your channel and now I’m a subscriber because of your awesome reaction!! Looking forward to seeing more of your content. God bless you ❤
I loved your reaction! I'm American and I get chills every time I hear this! Thank you! Much love and respect!❤️🇺🇲
It’s our new National Anthem
I also got to see Lee Greenwood sing this live a number of years back when he was still touring. Great song. Also, thank you for your sensitivity around interrupting the national anthem. That is pretty much the only song that people will object to you stopping to comment. Other songs like this one, wouldn’t have that same “rule”. Having said that, it is nice to hear songs that have a patriotic theme sung through without interruption. Not a requirement though. Love your channel and your reactions. 😊
Every time I hear this at Trump rallies. I tear up and cry like a baby. Then I get goosebumps. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
This is HOME FREE....featuring Lee Greenwood (original artist) and the Airforce band....
I'm 74. My grandfathers served in France in WW1, my dad in the Pacific in WW2, my brother and I in Viet Nam and my brothers son in Iraq (sadly, RIP). Love this great country, the leader of the free world. thanks for posting.
Thank you for not interrupting the song! You gained a follower.
It is so sweet of you to volunteer to be others punching bag. God bless you richly!!!!!
Lee Greenwood was born in 1942-just mentioning thst because he sounds so wonderful!
I'm glad you enjoyed this song❤
This is one of my favorite songs and this version immediately took the top spot. The younger guys that aren't in uniform are the A Capella group Home Free and are probably the most talented musicians I've ever seen. This version had no instruments. The percussion and even the jet flyover sound at the end were all the vocal percussionist Adam Rupp from the group. If you're impressed by them, they have so many songs and videos available on UA-cam. It's a rabbit hole I never regretted finding. Thank you for your reaction!
Have you discovered Home Free yet? It's a HUGE rabbit hole to go down, but we'll worth it!!
I was in the Navy back in the 70s, and this still gives me chills (I'm 74.) As a veteran of the military, I have the authority to name you an honorary American, so WELCOME, BROTHER! This is the first time I've seen you, and am subscribing. Continued success!
Wow,wow, wow. Thats frigging awesome. Thank you Lee Greenwood for your decades of music but especially this one. Thank you to all the service men and women, singers who rocked this song.
God Bless the USA.
🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸❤️
As a US Navy veteran I’m moved every time I hear this song. Thank you very much for sharing this with us.
I love every version I have ever heard of this beautiful song. One of the very best songs about America ever written.
Our flag is it just our country's flag. It's our flag as. A individual. That is my personal flag. As an individual. When I see that flag. I see a part of me. I was taught that far back find my parents. I was born under that flag. I will die under. That's why we honor our. Flag. It's not just our country's flag it's my flag. William s
Freedom is never free..........beautiful song and inspiration.
Home Free and Lee Greenwood have long been among my favorite musicians and I truly loved your reaction and warm comments!!
I was stationed in Japan in the US Navy when the original came out in the early 1980's. It has stood the test of time and this version is just as beautiful! God Bless the USA and God Bless All the Patriots! I loved your reaction and look forward to seeing more.
This song always brings me to tears. Proud daughter of WWII and Korean veteran and sister of 4 brothers that served!
Stuff like this makes me wanna grab old glory and go running through the streets all night long god bless our veterans from bottom of my heart thank u all for ur service no words can express my appreciation for u all
The original came out in the 1990s when I was in high school. This song gives me chills and brings me to tears every time I hear it. And this this version is amazing. Thank you for reacting to this. Hello from Dallas, Texas, USA!
Please ignore anyone who takes offense to you pausing to react...that's what reactions are for & no one should take offense unless you're being offensive, which you are not. This is a great song & my favorite version of it. I still can't believe how well Lee Greenwood's voice has aged. He sounds better now.
@JonoGrahamReacts
Hey Mate! Thank you for the apology regarding pausing the video during the United Stetas national anthem. I have respect for you Man to Man for being a Gentlemen in that regard adressing the issue & doing so rather then just letting it just easily pass by not saying anything. As an American we value our country to the highest regards with extremely deep rooted Love , respect & admiration for our Land, Nation , Flag , Constitution & Soilders As well as the Values in which she stands for & built apon GOD, Family & Country. Many Americans & American Allies have Died in pursuit of freedom for not just for the U.S.A but also the world to be a better safer place. Thats not to say everything always goes well or that everyone holds these values these days but a over whelming vast majority do.
Also if anyone was super disrespectful or rude when messaging you regarding letting you know about pausing the video during The United States National Anthem.
Although i dont need to , i want to Apolgize to you on there behalf if that was the case at anytime with any of the comments. i just hope your able to accept the apology on behalf of my fellow countryman & that hasent left a sour taste regarding Americans.
Great video , keep up the great work .
🇺🇸 GOD BLESS THE U.S.A 🇺🇸
🇺🇸 LAND OF THE FREE & HOME OF THE BRAVE! 🇺🇸
And May God look after you, your family & friends including ALL Africaans in South Africa especially with everything thats been happening over there with Afrikaan
farmers , childern & families. Stay Safe!
One of my favorite Independent Day classics. Always brings a tear and appreciation from me. We are fortunate.
I love Lee Greewood alone doing this back in the day.. but also love this with Home Free and, I believe, it's memebers of our Air Force... I'm listening to this July 1st... our Independence Day is July 4th... so this is great for me right now... Thank you for your reaction. And love that his is acapella
Absolutely an amazing song and performed by the best of the best. Lee Greenwood is a great American and has supported 45 since the very start. God bless him for this, and thank you for spreading the word on your platform. Well done!
So beautiful!!!! And that deep voice!!!! ❤️❤️❤️🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
This song brings a tear to my eye every time. I abhor the fact that there are people born and raised here who do not have the same love of this country that many who come here from other shores have.
Beautiful! Thank you for this reminder that America 🇺🇸 is EVERYTHING!
❤❤❤
When I went through US Navy Basic training in Great Lakes in 1996. The Drill Instructors played this to us while we were working together on PT. It broke the toughest of us down and we sang this together in tears. Stands out to me as the moment we came together as US Navy Sailors and what we were here for. A coming together moment that broke us away from who we were when we arrived to who we would be as the defenders of our nation. God Bless the USA!
The first one is amazing too. The original video is set in the Heartland USA! Loved your reaction!
I cry every time.... I replay it multiple times for each reaction
Hope you will react to Home Free's cover of "Brothers In Arms". These guys are so talented, they can make you laugh or make you cry. They have close to 350 songs to choose from.
Thanks so much,,This songs means the world to me and my husband he is a veteran of the Army, every time I hear this song I still get GOOSEBUMPS
Thank you for your kind words about our country! We are the land of the free BECAUSE of the brave!I love our veterans and will never take our freedom for granted❣🇺🇸
God bless our wonderful country. Home of the Free, because of the Brave!!!!
Every time I watch one of your reactions, I think how incredibly Dutch you look. You have every right to be just as proud of your heritage as we are. Love your channel.
On the day after 9/11 one of the teachers made hall banners printed with the words of this song and the middle school kids were singing it between classes for days!
We are so proud of our American soldiers Heroes and these Heroes that sung this was great.
