Yeah, there's already raiders in the game. And not just basic bitch raiders, but the kind that, if you have fortifications? Will bring battering rams to break in to steal your gold and such ^_^
I can see many, many, many hours being played into this game.
Until you have all the buildings and the incentive to play goes away. Once everything is done it becomes a rat catching sim. The progression to that point is enjoyable though.

@@seanpaul3819 I'm not so sure having less resources and more raiders would make it any more fun. I was expecting more combat out of the game and that's on me for not looking into it more before purchasing.

Hi Raptor. For food variety you have to provide something other than fruit/veg and meat. You will need to provide things like bread (windmill and bakery) or milk from cattle (barn). Diversifying the veg types will not help. Love watching the series. Can't wait for the game to be released.
8:00 Poor guy was blocked by the mob. 23:10 That area with the trade house would be a nice place to put an inn at. Inns, unlike taverns, are places where people not from the settlement go to stay, eat, and drink.
I just heard you say that this is pre early access and had to go double check. I'm absolutely blown away that this is what pre early access looks like, even more stoked for this game now.
tips ; you can plant tree on the decoration tab. Its 1gold per tree and a tree give up to 7 logs over a couple year. So 14 planks, really worth it if the land is poor
The compost guy drives a "dump-truck".
one thing i noticed is that in the trade post beside your gold count there was a button to transfer the gold to your usable storage, as its being kept in the post for the moment
I love that geese fly south every fall. There should be a way to hunt them.

Hey Raptor - Invaders: - 2 towers and tripple switchback farm fences at a choke point to slow them down,... an old Age of Empires trick I used to use - cheaper than pallisades
So true. The first game I played just put 2 towers from where the raids were coming. The raiders are instantly attracted to the towers and super weak against them. :) did not have barracks til much later in the game.
that bit you mentioned about abandoned houses...downsizing the house is one way, but if you bring up the desirability tho with parks and planter boxes, etcetera...the villagers then move back in after a bit
I just demolish it instantly and rebuild. Super fast.. gets with new tenants lol
@@LArt3D probably the easiest way for sure but it takes time to rebuild to that level of home and your tax revenue takes a hit till it gets back up to par

Not to try to tell anyone how to place the game, but I plan on using the same tactic in this as I do for Tropico. I build my housing units with gaps down the center of the residential block, and if space permits gaps between them for beauty modifiers. The work camp is indeed a home away from home for far away work sites. It's serves the same function as building a flat out residential area near a far away work site with taverns etc. I never seen such a beautiful well thought out city builder like this in a long time. This game almost makes you need to go into a new game with a pre planned out pattern. I would suggest the biggest take away from your videos is to learn the grid system/spacing. It will save you a lot of headache when you start playing it yourself.
This game looks so good! Easily 500+ hours in this.
If you moved your Trading Post next to the Supplies for the Trader it would take less travelling time going from your Supply depot to the Trader

Great content! loving this game. One thing is I've noticed you tend to do most of your farm restoration (clovers, maintenance) in the second half of the year which means you are producing very little food in the second half of the year. Room for some optimization there :)

The school cost gold ro build so they may have bought the Bell from somewhere else
At least for the metal tools I was thinking they brought them with when they left their previous settlement

Loving this game bought it yesterday and enjoying it alot. One thing I can say is I'm no civil engineer all my town layout is wild no order to it might start a new map and really plan the layout 🤔

I’ve just got this game and love it but struggling to figure out how to select multiple trees to harvest etc. when I drag to select and even tried shift select it just picks the villagers. Also when you get a predator I can attack but how do you make someone run somewhere. When I pick someone and the click on the map it just then selects that item. Cheers buddy

The latest Annos that require you to have different civilization just annoy the hell outa me. the OG one was the best.... sometimes making things complicated just for the sake of making it complicated is shit. Hope this one is good, will try it out when available.
If the developer is seeing these comments, I just passed the part where Raptor built a Healer build and I would like to point out that the symbol with the two snakes around a staff is the wrong symbol. That is the symbol for another Greek god, Hermes, god of wealth, trade and travel as well as herald and messenger of the gods. The symbol for medicine you are looking for i the Staff of Asclepius which is the god of medicine.
I know a lot of hospitals and such in the US have the staff with two snakes as symbol which to my understanding all stems back to the foundation of the US military medical corps which accidently took the wrong staff as symbol. But the staff with two snakes is not the symbol for medicine, the staff with one snake is.
Whilst it may be the "wrong" one, it may very well be a choice due to common identification, as opposed to any attempts to be "technically correct" - i.e. picking the symbol that many people associate with medical in order to quickly convey information. (That's just at a guess though)

Yes, that is possible and a good way to increase water retention in the table.
Does this game have invasions? It looks interesting but I really enjoy combat in any game really. Maybe at least raid system like in RimWorld?

The gold you just got from sales stays in the Trading post and used by the trading post until you ask the villagers to transfer it to the town hall then it can be used by the city to build things.

the desierablilty does not stack, so placing multiple of thje same park or garden is wasting your gold

I like that there is no church in game. That way it is not based on any specific culture and more people can have an immersive experience.
