This series is the only thing giving me my Manor Lords fix right now. Farthest Frontier looks great for early access also!

The amazing part of this game is thr developers design to maximize detail... both in the interdynamics of the city/jobs but graphics including bringing snow to higher elevations first. Very impressed

I had to walk to work past a tannery from 1972 to 1981. They absolutely STINK! Nevertheless, I'm really enjoying the way Raptor plays this game! Likely I'll buy it...as long as it comes without the smell!
Scurvy is brought about by Vitamine C and D deficiency if I'm not mistaken. Sailers started hauling lemons, limes, and oranges with their cargo to stave it off. As far as I know, that's essentially the best cure, not sure how well berries would work. You may need more citrus fruit.

cute joke. Vitamin D is Sun, our body need it, if you spend alot of time inside gaming or hate outside, vitamin d is needed.
vitamin c is orange, also same thing, eat real one or take vitamin if you need it. Make your skin smooth and heal faster.

@@Tjockpaladin I don't think that's the only thing about the vitamin D. Maybe your body makes it in some capacity because I barely go outside, and I mean barely yet I'm still here :P I do eat fruits as well so maybe that helps also?

The game needs an option for a quarry. Stone seems to be a constant issue, particularly if you aren't exploring and pushing back the boundaries.

Clean water is probably the greatest need of all. It is no wonder that everyone preferred to drink lightly alcoholic beer and cider for drink rather than risk what was in the water.
Imagine drinking out of ponds without any hygiene. If you hear the stories of today like example worms and parasites in food, imagine what is waiting for you in some lake water :P People in the medieval times weren't totally dirty like some people try to portray them as, they most likely knew what they were doing. So to drink alcohol a lot, yeah I totally see that happening rather than risking that water :P
@@GaiaLegendNL Ya but I think because it was 1 to 2% alcohol they could handle it without getting totally drunk. And grog is basically rum or other hard spirits mixed with water. Good disinfectant. The rates of water born disease went down when tea and coffee came around as well as people were drinking a lot more boiled water.

47:26 Is that well you just plopped down near the tannery going to polluted? I wonder if ground pollution means water contamination. I could be wrong, and there is no evidence that it will, yet it is had to say that the ground is polluted but the ground water isn't affected.

Tannery....Yep stinky! Many years ago lived in a small village up on a hill.....3 blocks away when the wind blew my way ..OH GOD THE STINK??? and every fly batterd my window screens,had to leave in the end me and my kids got sick 5 hours later away from the town we started to feel better 24 hours later we were well again .....Doctor said we were highly elergic to whatever was in the town, Suspect was crop spraying early morning bottom of the hill that drifted up to the town with a small breeze.But it was a VERY unhealthy town.
Hah, that sounds interesting! You have the life of a villager, I have the life of a city dweller. I grew up in the city, and very closeby to me there is a very large coffee factory. Every week when that factory went on to produce coffee, the stench was so bad that it flew all the way over to my place and you could almost taste it. Luckily that has now lowered down but it's for sure something I will always remember.

just saying. if u look at where cemeteries, are built are on a hill, so there is no seepage into the ground water and lakes that may cause disease, and also why churches are also built on hills, to provide safe havens and to watch over the dead, just saying

Idk if you did this in later videos but I'm pretty sure people aren't immigrating into your village because of chronic food shortage, you only have a max of 4 months of food stored up and the food shortage notification keeps popping up
Your linked PC build is significantly more powerful than the top end suggested on Steam for this game, so I'm a little concerned how well it will run on the minimum suggested spec they list. I would like to be able to play this on my laptop with the integrated Vega graphics. It gets me decent ±45 fps in many modern games. Wish you could do a system spec overlay occasionally to give us an idea of how resource intensive this is. I'm guessing that would break some sort of early review copy agreement?

Seems like this game stutters a bit. Wonder if that has to do with a lack of optimization or it's more a lack of resources while recording (I don't know what Raptors setup is). Obviously not generally a huge deal in a game like this but I'm still curious.

I can't say that this game is grabbing my personal attention I don't see anything Innovative within it it seems like a carbon copy of even better games in the genre I see Manor Lords being even better than this and I think Anno 1800 is by far better than this
Haven't played this genre much, outside of Going Medieval recently... how is Anno better? I've been meaning to check out gameplay footage of that
@@roibeard94 I would say Anno1800 has more diverse gameplay and you're playing on pretty big Maps you get a lot of them that you can Traverse to. combat is really cool and setting your trade routes adds that extra immersiveness that I don't think this game is going to ever accomplish. Again the Anno series have been around for years they've had a lot of time to perfect their platform. Where this Dev team is fairly small and might be one of their first little projects. Also the Anno Series has tons of expansions to increase replayability and I also think it looks gorgeous then the furthest Frontier.

@@Funkiyy I think one of my concerns is the lack of performance metrics available for this game, even though it's still pre-release. I think it looks really pretty, but I'm seeing a lot of stutter. According to the link in the description, Raptor's PC is way over the minimum and even recommended system requirements. Needs a lot of optimizing, it seems. Sounds to me like it will have more content added over time, but I hope optimization for older hardware is prioritized so it isn't a bad play experience.
