    Some nice highlights of the show, and some great gear there. I have to say that I do like it when first aid is taken seriously, you see a lot of people show their gear, with plenty of sharp tools, and all they carry is a few plasters. Take care Mark and have a great weekend 😃👍

      Hi Mark bought mine in 2010. Had some use. In Whitby we had her up in some gales. The outwell tent next to us was new that day £1400 worth. It didn’t survive the night. Our pole was driven 1 foot into the earth.
      In 2014 we used it continually for 22 weeks whilst we were homeless. Great piece of equipment and so quick and easy to pitch. 👍🏻

    I had to laugh when you said you hoped everyone was enjoying this "nice dry day". Here in North Carolina, I set up my DD 4 x 4 tarp a couple of days ago when there was hardly a cloud in the sky. I had just purchased an Etrol hammock and was just wanting to set the large tarp over it to enjoy the hammock. Well, as is typical in North Carolina, suddenly the clouds suddenly rolled in and it poured down rain. The tarp sure did it's job. I ended up packing it up before it was completely dry, and today was the first day I had the time to stretch it out to completely dry. There was not a cloud in the sky when I set it out to dry, and I went inside to check on the Fusion 360 software I had just installed. When I looked out the window, I noticed dark clouds when I looked out my window. I ran outside and was barely able to get the tarp in the bag as it began to rain. I wasn't even able to get the ridge line down, and had to roll it up later. Fortunately, it was a polyester ridge line which doesn't absorb water like the paracord I usually use.
    All that to say, though we get plenty of sunny days here in the Carolina's, when it begins raining, it's time to take cover. When I lived in the Pacific north west. We had kid of overcast drizzly weather most of the year, but on the few days when it was sunny wee had plenty of warning before it began to drizzle again. Here in North Carolina, we get a months worth of the kind of rain we used to get on the west coast, in about 20 minutes of torrential rain. All in all, there are pros and cons to both locations. I have been told by my brother in law who was a missionary in England for years that the weather of Pacific north west reminded him of a lot of the weather in England. Enjoy the sunny weather while it lasts; or should I say whilst it lasts. Pun intended.
    Sure wish I could have been there with you at tat bushcraft show with some cash in hand. Glad you were able to enjoy it and pick up some gear while you were there. Looks like some good kit. Your new Silky Gomboy sure made quick work of that log.
    Glad to see you again brother. Thanks for another great video.

    • @markbailey2981
      @markbailey2981  5 років тому +1

      LOL, that's typical Eric :) If you ever want it to rain, hang something out to dry :) We have had it bad here for the past few weeks. Most of the country was in flood. I spent all last week on the fishery rebuilding roads and bridges that got washed away in the floods. Typical British summer time lol. Yeah I think your brother-in-law is right about the weather here. I don't think we get as much rain as the Pacific North west, but on the whole we are a damp old island :)
      I'm glad you are keeping well brother...… just busy working here at the moment. Spring to Autumn is my busiest time, the I get a bit of time off my self once the weather turns bad!! I've got it wrong somewhere lol. Thanks as always for watching and taking the time to comment Eric :) Have a great weekend, all the best, Mark :)

      @@markbailey2981 Yep, it sure seems you have it wrong. If only your busy time was when the weather was bad, then you could enjoy the nice weather. By the way, your "damp old island" is rich in history, and the kind of old architecture I miss from my years in France.

      Hi Will, I hope you are keeping well :) Yes it would be great to meet up with you if your there again next year :) Apple Jack is great stuff. I'm not a big drinker, but I spent a number of years living in Devon and Somerset and some of the old boys down there used to make it. They did it by freezing the cider and removing the ice. They also told me that they used to use a traditional way when making cider of adding a dead rat and a horse shoe into the barrel. They said it would completely dissolve apart from a few bones, and that's what gives it its 'proper' flavour. I'm not sure myself, but I love listening to the old guys, even if they are taking the pee :) Have a great weekend Will, all the best, Mark.

      That would be great mate. You never know I might dust the Harley off and call down to that cafe the coffee is great there 😁 theres a massive tree over my garage that I'd love to chop down saves washing my car off every morning of the piles of bird shite lol. Keep the videos rolling pal much better watching than any TV programme 👍

      @@MrRealdealdd Yeah that would be great Dave. Fire up the Girl and have a mooch over to Wales. If you want some wood, just let me know and I will see what I can get :) It would be easier to get an air rifle than chop the tree down lol. Gulls were the worst when I lived in Cornwall. They are crapping pasties and ice creams that they rob off old ladies lol. Have a great weekend mate, all the best, Mark :)

    Couldn’t make it this year, it looked a good one with nice weather thanks for showing us around. You picked up some nice pieces of kit, I think your next acquisition will need to be a 200lt pack?

      Hi Stuart, the one I go is in Derbyshire. I think there is another held up North as well at a different time of the year. Here is a link to their website which has all the details. All the best, Mark :) thebushcraftshow.co.uk/
