white belt here... that elbow against neck is always quite annoying and sometimes it distracts me to allow the partner to bring his knee inside and retain guard. Now i know this technique and will use it to shock people. thanks to coach lol

swhite6 Agreed. Clarified some stuff from me. I am a two stripe white belt and americana is my bread and butter at the moment. The two details about twisting the wrist to increase elbow pressure and the crocodile leg position will help me.

can anyone help me out here I got my opportunity on the last technique I got him with the fake turned my hips trapped the arm turned my hips back but I could not finish he was to strong for me I could not bring his arm to the mat in order to crank it

+Platt Village Security You shouldn't have to use strength or crank it. If it's not smooth and in position. Transition to another technique.
