LMAO
Gotta love Munch
Would have loved to have seen a standard/SVU crossover - a Munch/Briscoe team would have been a riot!
@@draco84oz Impossible! Reality can't handle that much deadpan snark!
He also said Munch: If you keep talking I’ll kill you myself if I have too 🥴😅 I was like yeah right your too nice to do that munch just finish watching the episode during a re- run😊
Munch is the best. If you watch the "Homicide" show (where the character is originally from) - you will find more of him
“I want [her picture] in your pocket when you catch him” is such chilling and yet empowering dialogue
Love how that picture helped them narrow it down, they didn't need to waste time looking for the second suspect!
Agreed. Never, ever make a angry mother mad. That scene was chilling.
Stabler cares alot about kids. The little hug he gave her letting her know she was safe ☺️
Especially since he's already a father. 😊
That was him picking her up inside a van where u can't stand up...
ikr. you forget you're watching a show sometimes, the acting seems real
What episode is this
That's because Stabler sees them as being like his daughters who he is very close too. He acts like a father for them.
Hes tough when he needs to be around the crooks and murderers.
But around kids he's a big softy.
Signs of a good caring father that he's supposed to be.
Anyone notice how the kids usually used to cling onto Stabler? And he was usually the one to grab them, hug them, and tell them it was gonna be okay? Stabler was the one most likely to “build a rapport” with a kid, though they’d often send Olivia in because girls were much more likely to disclose to her. I loved how they developed Elliot into a father. The expected and stereotypical thing would’ve been to force Olivia as the affectionate one, but instead we got to see Elliot tap into his life experience and be emotional. I do have to say though, if I was a little kid who had just been through hell, I think I would’ve looked for a woman for comfort.
As someone who tends to deal with the victims of these type of cases, you'd be surprised how immediately they can see a protector instead of the villain that perpetrated against them.
@@jonathanfenton8695 i was gonna comment the same thing!! the amount of times you hear about victims confiding in “father” figures is astounding considering the narrative of maternal female etc
Sad because because he left the first time because of all the anguish he felt from all the messed up cases he worked on.
Yeah but here olivia was not nearly as affectionate towards children as she was in the upcoming and later seasons. She still cares just wasn't as clingy as she's supposed to maybe because she didn't have children of her own.🤔
@@alexandraanderson3988 they wanted to milk the one character in the squad who had kids and really emphasize it by having him have 4 and then eventually 5 children of his own which is more than most people have...
RIP legendary comedian Richard Belzer (aka Det. Sgt. John Munch). We “Law & Order” fans will all miss you so much.
"What if he shoots me?
I'll live."
Jesus Munch. 😂😂😂
Munch: I’ll kill you myself if I have too😊
i love the double meaning 😆
Munch was absolutely amazing with his theories and jokes I wish him and fin had more screen time.
This is why I love munch lmao 🤣🤣 I snorted when he said that
I wish saul would have gotten shot he wouldn't STFU!
When Benson slams her fist into the burger, I think it’s unscripted because of everyone’s genuine reaction 😭 Stabler is trying to hold back and laugh and the other woman detective actually looks so shocked like she didn’t know it was coming
That one had really got me. Even if it wasn't scripted, I think if Stabler had done it instead it would've been less of an impact in a way because his character is expected to be more aggressive than Benson. The fact that Benson did it, when she's a bit more demure, is really powerful.
That was cold. I don't like wasting food like that.
She probably can’t stand uncooperating cops because they could help easy. Maybe also has todo with her mom
Rip burger.
The burger-punch was epic LMFAO
Benson is by far one of the better written characters on the show. She started off with little to do, but now no one can imagine the show without her.
She’s awful quick to judge rather than being open minded
@@TOBEY95 Of course you have to come be negative just because someone said something nice. 🙄😒
@@britbrat1127 It's called offering an opinion. Here's mine. The other cops were shocked when Olivia punched the hamburger? Then she had the audacity to ask for their support. I would have told her to buy me a new lunch first.
@@TOBEY95 I think your getting her confused with Rollins🥴😄 Ok maybe in the past only because she wants to solve the case faster and get to the truth but I still think your describing Rollins character she’s more known for that tbh you know being judgmental and all if you watch the later seasons and on🥴🤦🏾♀️🙄
@@Nepthu Omg give her a break😄 I’m not saying what she did was right but they had not slept. I think she said for three days straight working on a case. Now I don’t know about you but who wouldn’t get cranky after no sleep for how many hours and days I probably would. Plus they those cops were acting like complete a** whole’s especially the guy who punched Elliot in the face for protecting his lieutenant. I’m surprised stabler never got him back I only hope that cop didn’t eat that sandwich Olivia punched with her hands. I can understand why she did it but if I was them and I was hungry as much as I like her. I would be pretty upset at her too 😒no joke 🥴I don’t play with food especially when I’m hungry 😊 sorry for the long comment lol
I remember this episode. They were overworked, hadnt slept in days, hadnt been home even longer. This was great lol
How important was it that the mother insisted Stabler take her daughter's picture. Suspect found!
Classic case of Chekhov’s gun
Great inspiration!
@@donaldtaylor724 Would you mind explaining that to me? Sorry. I just don't understand the reference. Thanks so much!
Huh??
@@User_5390 one of the dead girls mothers gave Stabler the last photo taken of her daughter. The background of the picture is a positive match to where the suspect worked. Found.
i will never understand how people can be “attracted” to children
I can't understand it either.... Very unsettling...
I personally NEVER want to know. The very idea almost gives me a full body dry-heave.
From what I’ve understood from this show, it’s probably mainly because the adult creeps didn’t really have great childhoods themselves. Seeing children can make them think that “interacting” with them will fix or even give them back their childhood, when all it REALLY does is ruin the childhood and innocence of their kiddy victims.
It’s sad, yet 100% accurate and true, if you ask me. ☹️
@@VSaber365 doesnt make it right
No, it does not at all.
The guy playing the creep is a good actor. I found my lip curling and I shuddered at the look he gave to the girl at the end.
Sometimes I really want them to “accidentally” bash their head into the car roof when they put them in the back. I think I remember it happened a couple of times in episodes but not nearly enough.
@@elenalizabeth Tutuola got himself into some hot water doing that.
Same look prisoners will give before they resize all the kidfuckers holes in prison lol I can't stand the fact that they get protected sometimes. They go to seg for safety but I say throw em to the wolves. Make an example out of them. Same with famous killers. Like Josh duggar will likely be protected cause he's a predator and famous (he just sentenced to 12 years I believe)
@@elenalizabeth happens all the time irl, though usually its not the cops doing it but the stupid perp resisting all the way and stiff legging when they're trying to put them in the vehicle.
Oh yes that look made my stomach turn
I hope they told that woman who gave them the photo that she helped to catch him - and that they saved his last victim.
Might bring her a tiny bit of peace. 😢
I love the fact that he actually carried the picture with him. Stabler puts on the tough front but he is the most caring person in the entire precinct.
@@katsunada I am sure he did. That mother told him that she wanted him to have that photo in his pocket when he caught the murderer, so I am sure he did exactly what she wanted.
This is how Liv and Elliot helped victims - listening to them, supporting them, and even doing very small things for them that were within their power - putting a photo in your pocket to go and arrest a criminal is a really small, simple request, easy to follow, doesn't break any rules. So he would have done that for her, just as he said he would.
I love that disgusted look that Finn gives, as he shoves the pervert in the police car. Great work, once again, great detectives.
This is one of the episodes that gave me anxiety I was worried they weren’t gonna find the girl in time thank god they did
One's with the clock ticking are always anxiety causing.
No more
To be honest, I can't really think of many episodes where they didn't find the victim in the end.
@@sonrouge there was the copy cat serial killer who left riddles and clues to find and his kidnapped women (BTK) and they had only so much time to find them and two women were killed
@@fallenangel300000 wasn’t that a criminal minds episode?
"what if he shoots me"
"I'll live"
God-damned iconic
That was the dream team. Munch's one liners really punched up the stories. I haven't watched this show, since Stabler left. I keep forgetting that he has his own show, now.
Surprisingly the show did great without him . I loved him but I won't watch his new show he choose to leave and be gone for a decade so he could have just stayed gone.
There’s a show centered on stabler?
@@frankm.2850 Organized Crime
Yes loved this crew!
"what if he shoots me?"
"ill live" lmfao😭😭
"he's not gonna shoot you, we got every sharp shooter in the city out there"

*yeah bud that's the whole point*
3:04
Stabler: You want us to go to Queens? I live in Queens, you know how long it’s gonna take us?
Cragen: Not as long as it will take them to get down here.
Stabler: Good Point
Lol
Fr. Queens to Manhattan is like an hour + drive. That's with good traffic conditions.
That’s why Liv is a Boss. The way she slammed her hand on the table.
Anybody else notice the SUV trope where they're in the squad room discussing the case and are at a impasse when somebody immediately walks in with the answer or a clue. It's in almost every episode sometimes more then once.
Ok
Formulaic or not, show's still enjoyable.
cuz the plot demands it lol
@@FeatherWings78 p
Well that does makes sense
The show is so good. Every episode from every season is totally rewatchable. That is what makes the show great.
TV cop: stares doubtfully at smashed burger. IRL cop: picks up the smashed burger, continues to eat it.
Some words that stuck with me, "Never trust a white van. Especially one with no windows."
This episode was so intense. I loved the way stabler made sure she was found!
This is why I hate the pissing match just because someone from a different precinct
There is a kids life on the line and their acting like pissy prima Donnas
they didnt tell them WHY there were there on their turf til AFTER the pissing match started.....
@@jackiewymer762 they probably skipped telling them why cause time was literally running out, and they didn’t have the time, plus those two detectives worked the case so they obviously knew that there were children involved and that children were being harmed. They had the files - they knew.
This is something that’s always bugged me about law enforcement in fiction. Maybe I’m deluded or something, but I’d like to think these sorts of pissing matches aren’t a thing irl.
@@frankm.2850 from watching a lot of True crime I would have to disagree
The ‘I’ll be gone in the dark’ documentary talked about how different precincts and different counties didn’t work together it’s a lot of red tape and paperwork also egos and not wanting to share the glory of figuring out the case or let outsiders know where and how you fucked up at your job
Ice T just yeeting him into the car, clearly annoyed by his existence.
It's the little things
You definitely could tell that this was a really bad case. When you have a murderer child racist kidnapping 7 little innocent sweet girls and final getting caught, then you know that the SVU team will do anything and everything to make sure that this killer is put away for life!
He was gonna get the needle but he gave them the location of his first victim he buried. Of course we know how kid rapping killers are treated in prison! I bet he wished he'd have taken the needle.
@@jamespoledna2693 I dunno. It is taxpayers' money that's keeping him alive.
@@bursegsardaukar the inmates might've killed him.
How is he racist?
@@jamespoledna2693Exactly, you don’t even need to give the death penalty to pedophiles. The prison system takes care of them.
One of the best aspects of this episode was that they didn't go into the "why did he" that is not needed in episodes like this. What mattered was taking him down and stopping him, not "motivation".
What, were they going to pull some great reason out of their asses?
@@robertlevine2827 , no.. and they didn't try.. unlike the Leftists in reality would have.
Does anyone else love it when fin shoved him into the squad car like don’t mess with me or you won’t make it to the jail cell.
if only NYPD was actually this organized lol
This was the first episode of SVU I ever watched. And it's still one of my favorites to this day.
…you know you’ve watched SVU too much when you can listen to a clip - not have any context ((I was doing dishes listening over my Bluetooth)) - and know exactly what episode it is before the big reveal….
And then you laugh and remind yourself - there’s no such thing as too much SVU. 🤣
My heart leapt when the little girl moved.
3:49 SHE PUNCHED HIS BURGER
Lmaooo 😊😂😂
Such an epic episode. I always loved it when they all worked together. This was one of those episodes. Def tops.
Munch's facial hair getting worse and worse because they're working non-stop without sleep over the course of almost a week is unintentionally hilarious (remember the dude who told him "You look like you slept on a sewer grate"? 😂😂)
Love how munch just waltzes into the house without his gun drawn
The way he leered at the little girl at the end. Eww.
Truly creepy and disgusting
Love this show so much. Thankyou for 24 yrs. All ways will repeat them. Respect 👍💕
Two of my favorite L&O tropes: the clock on screen and OZ staple cameos
When the Law & Order series first started, my husband and I watched all the time and gravitated to each new version that came out. Then my friends and coworkers were also binge watchers like us. The one thing we all agreed on was the cast was more like an ensemble cast with all the pieces fitting together perfectly. However I will always love and miss Jerry Orbach the most.
Makes one appreciate the good law enforcement for sure
I hope they told the mom who gave the picture that the picture helped solve the case. I'm sure it would mean a lot that she and her daughter helped catch the guy and save the girl.
I remember this episode. In the end, the guy avoided a death sentence cuz he gave up the location of a girl he killed.
I would've just sentenced him to death after he gave up the girl's body.
I feel you. Although if that was done, there would be a can of worms of legal stuff opened up, too much trouble for a piece of garbage. Besides, that filth won’t last long in jail, not as a killing chomo.
He still got sentenced to life in prison despite that though, right?
I’d say that’s a win against the bad guy, too.
@@VSaber365 yeah I’m almost positive he got life in prison; there’s no way society would allow the courts to let that person walk free.
Life in prison for him would be a death sentence anyway. I've worked in the penal system - those stories you hear about inmates and how they treat pedophiles? Completely true, and most guards will actually turn a blind eye to it.
@@dmadd4643 Yep. He's screwed...literally 😏.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE stablers character... I think it's funny to be obsessed with law and order and then to watch him in Oz lol from the cop to the psychotic prisoner. It's crazy his range as an actor.
This reminds me of a criminal minds episode. Where a stereotypical American family(two parents, one boy and one girl) would be held hostage for a few days. The killer would tie up the father and play father for a few days. After their final supper he take the family to the basement and kill them starting with the youngest and ending with the father.
I'm a new viewer of criminal minds but what season and episode is that one.
@@alexandraanderson3988 season 1 Eposide 7 so you should run across it soon.
That episode I think was based of the KBG serial killer.
@@Toccata.can you give me more information about the serial killer?
@@Toccata. KBG or BTK killer ?
this episode was exhilarating and tension filled to the brim
Not even the weirdest one from this season. Manhunt is my favorite one.
The weirdest one was had guest stars Jason Ritter and Ian Somerhalder as two very close brothers. Until one attempted to frame the other as solely responsible for their crimes.
THANK YOU for posting the end!
Next to the serial killer from the first episode Clayton Mills was one of my favorite creeps.
This is one of their best episodes.
Good Job Benson and Stabler and the team!
This episode's ending was so sad :(
The killer had actually killed one other girl. As part of a plea deal, he didn't have the death penalty and a mother finally got to know where her missing daughter was.
Death penalty was moot, New York would eventually suspend it
@@Ramboost007 hopefully the other inmates would get to him first.
I like earlier SVU very much.
No personalBullsthi from work
My favorite part from this is when Olivia SLAMS her fist down and the whole place goes quiet for a split second. God I love Olivia Benson's character.
I remember candy corn, punch, guy with bad teeth.
Wait hold up is it just me or does the little girl look like she's in some sort of child sized wedding dress? She's even got the veil piece on was
Could be a communion dress.
The pedophile in this episode dresses up the little girls he kidnaps
Princess dress for the "party" he throws them. Feeding them candy and sweets. Before raping and killing them.
I just watched this episode a couple of hours ago, the perp was so creepy and deserved the death penalty.
Fin used to wear suits 😮😮
Omg had the same thought
They tried to make him sweet and innocent 😊 but as the show went on he started to be himself vs when he first came to svu.
This is definitely one of my favorite shows of all time.I've been watching continuously since the beginning.this is an image of what good cops are like.
Keller and Howell on equal footing lol
I miss all the original crew stabler cragen munch. they were great together.
Ice T was rocking that three-piece suit.
Stabler embodies the phrase “strong enough to be gentle” he treats kids like his own but will DESTROY you if you lay a finger on them.
"He's afraid to drive into New York City, he wants Saul to meet him in Brooklyn."
... I'm sorry is Brooklyn NOT in NYC? Have I been misinformed my whole time living here?
Brooklyn is one of five borough (areas) in New York City, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx and Staten Island
Benson [slams fist]: Because we sat through 3 hours of so called acting, and that kiss was the only convincing thing in it.
Two OZ people here, I love it.
There were many from OZ that were on L&O as well, as main or guests in multiple episodes.
Christopher Meloni, JK Simmons, Kathyryn Erbe (Criminal Intent), B.D. Wong...
Its no wonder stabler was so overprotective with his own femalw children . He has seen this over and over again .
I love how many actors and actresses from _Oz_ have appeared on this show in both the main cast (like Chris Meloni of course) and in bit parts (such as the late Kristin Rohde who played Howell on _Oz_ and has a cameo here at 3:30).
💐 rewatching the whole SVU runs. 💖 Something about the first few seasons of L&O makes us hooked
Oh, thank goodness I got to see the ending ! It's great .
Rip Munch!!
They just hung up XD they didn’t even put them back on hold!
So love the map of every precinct
I know this is only a TV series but this does go on in real life and some go unsolved for years
Cool one of the original episodes from L&O: SVU
I miss Briscoe
We ALL miss Briscoe.
Not as good but decent replacement with Munch
I know both theme songs for law and order special victims unit. I love Olivia and Elliott. I have watch each episode at least 20 times on the television and small clips online at least 7 times.
I could never be in law enforcement. I'd shoot too many criminals out of anger for the victims.
3:35 Nice to see another face from OZ make it on SVU
How to get shot by a homeowner 101. Don't announce yourselves.....
Also, ya think the other detectives would be willing to be nicer to Detectives Benson and Stabler since a child is missing ...
Where's the full epiode i love to see the old seasons
“What if he sees me?”
“I’ll live.”
I remember this show
I remember this episode. The doer loves dolls. SVU canvased the doll shop and asked the store owner to call the perp to pick up the new Annabelle doll. That’s when they apprehended him and found the little girl in a closet dressed like a living doll.
Cant wait to see his bean counter lawyer
Please add Criminal Intent clips on your channel it was my favourite of the franchise!!
It is so annoying that the 2nd to 4th seasons aren't available.
i think the mother should know that her photo she gave to the pd helped in getting him
