Besides the minor relocations and missing "creature comforts", I note the large ventilation area around the muffler on the Pulsar versus the small area on the Genmax.
I also noted the Pulsar has a oil drain extension hose to keep mess to a minimum; the Genmax has the regular drain bolt.
Another difference is that the Genmax costs $379 MORE than the Pulsar according to Amazon.

Thanks for posting this! My conclusion is they are the same unit, built by the same factory, and the main differences are the warranty on the Pulsar and the battery trickle charge on the Genmax.

I have two Pulsar 10500 tri fuel units with parallel kit. I can already run the whole house with one unit and one A/C but with them both connected together, I can run both A/C units. 4 ton and 3.5ton.

More differences than expected. Genmax seems more appealing to me. The higher exhaust should be safer for running it around grass and plants. 👍👍

It looks like the Pulsar was about 2-3 db quieter overall. I was guessing it would be the opposite, as the exhaust on the Genmax looks much more "engineered", whereas the Pulsar looks to have a basic automotive muffler installed, and looks much cheaper. The Pulsar's exhaust sounded a little less-refined and raspy. It seems crazy to have 2 "identical" units from the same factory, coming with a completely different exhaust system. Both units seem to be listed right around the same retail price, too. The Pulsar doesn't have the LED light or the battery charger port, but the 3 year warranty is compelling for sure. It would be interesting to to a db test under 50% and 100% (or close to it) loads, to see if the Pulsar remains 2-3 db quieter than the Genmax. That might be the deciding factor.

I also thought the Pulsar seemed quieter but that the Genmax had a bit of a high pitched whine in its exhaust sound. The muffler on the Genmax seemed quite a bit beefier, being made of cast iron which I would have guessed made it more subdued.
The one year warranty on the Genmax makes it seem "disposable". One year certainly makes it appear Genmax doesnt stand by its product. Online I found a link that showed the 3 year warranty on the Pulsar could be extended an ADDITIONAL 2 years just by registering- if getting real service is even possible without a large service network.

Has anyone who owns either a Pulsar or Genmax generator like this had a MAJOR warranty service issue, and HOW did that turn out?
I am really curious as to how legitimate the warranty on these generators REALLY is. People who spend a ton of money on a Honda know that they are getting a reliable machine that can be repaired all over the USA but these newer companies like Genmax and Pulsar with their feature packed units dont seem to have much presence in the USA at all.
On Amazon the Pulsar is currently selling for $2500, compared to the Genmax at $2900.

I totally agree. Buying either, or in my case the identical unit sold in Canada (TMG Industrial 10500), is a bit of a crap shoot. I get a one year warranty but going back to the seller is not likely to get me parts. All three of these are made by Dinking Corp in China (by all looks, a quality product by a quality company), but even quality equipment can crap out. I bought mine to use natural gas during an extended outage, and today reluctantly sold my Honda EU6500 for top dollar, wondering all the while if I did the right thing while watching it go down the street in the back of the new owners truck.
Owning eight generators, I have a decent feel for them, but still can only hope that when or if I need service, I can get parts. My four Champions I don't worry about as that company has probably the best service network available. And if push comes to shove, I'm sure I could order parts from Dinking Corp who give a one year warranty on all their products no matter who's name brand is on it.
But with this unproven machine.....I just don't know. But I took the chance.....

Cosmetics really means little when we need emergency power.

@@TheSnakeman3 -- You generally want a floating neutral if you intend to feed your home's breaker panel during a power outages because your home's electrical service is already bonded and you only want a single bond point where the neutral and ground are joined together. You typically want a bonded neutral generator for a construction site generator or food trailer. I think it's easier to bond a floating neutral generator then un-bond a bonded generator.
