Ignore the Taylor devoted ‘bendover’ crew.
I owned the Taylor GS mini for x2 years.
Tried the Maton EMD6.
Bought it.
Sold the GS Mini.
The GS mini isn’t in the same league as the EMD6.
Totally different beast.
Incomparable.

I have had my EMD6 over 10 years and done literally hundreds of solo acoustic gigs with it,
I was lucky enough to actually be Diesel’s support act one night on hie Hear album tour which is where I first heard one, I’ve played it every gig since
I also have the EMD12, don’t get me started on that one 😂

Played/had a GS Mini at one time. Like this Maton guitar 100% more for sound/looks electronics and quality.

Love your nonjudgmental comments. I have a gs mini. I think the gs mini just has a bigger more open sound than the maton! Love the Maton pickup with the mic! But even plugged in it seems to sound smaller than the gs! There may be ways to overcome that in a live setting! Just my thoughts as I compare the two! I personally have come to love the smaller guitars!

I just bought Maton Nashville 808. Love it!! So much so, I am selling my Taylor 812e. I loved my Taylor until I got the Maton. I also have Taylor Mini GS Koa plus. It takes a while to break in but very nice to play. I have considered Maton Mini but it sounds like best if you need to plug in. I don’t really need to do this with my GS mini as I use for travel or as couch guitar. Interested any thoughts on why Maton mini should be considered if plug in not priority.
