Ahhhh this is fantastic!!!! Thank you so much for singing and sharing this past time favourite 😍🙏🏼🙌🏼 I agree with others here…. Our current culture (Australia) is starved of these traditions and our heritage 😅
The world I live in is starved for this. For culture. For history. For tales (tall, harrowing and bawdy). For soul. Thank you and the FF. Soothing balm for this caustic year.
I’m so amazed that such an old song can still bring his much energy. Look at this band of fellows having a wild time just keeping an old tradition alive.
It was an honour to be invited up to sing with the real stars. I'm on the far right next to Cleavey and thoroughly enjoyed the three songs we sang. Thanks for posting this and thanks to the locals in Port Isaac for putting up with us. I hope the movie does you all justice.
I’m 60 now I have worked all over the world. I was born in a small community south of Halifax I miss the people the spirit the tales the music the heart. I am able to retire it’s time to come home I am proud to be Canadian but I’m more proud to be a maritimer God bless New Scotland
Amen man, the maritimes still have some culture and identity. The rest of Canada until you hit Alberta is either English hating or a mix of immigrants and basically an extension of New Yorkers in Ontario
Rest in peace Trevor and Paul... singing has been a part of Cornwall for thousands of years, we sang underground and we sang as we fished, the singing used to help them keep in time to haul the nets into our Cornish Luggers And we've also sang in pubs lol... I remember as a child all the fishermen singing as they mended their nets on the slip, on days they couldn't put to sea. Funny how things stick in your memory!
I used to work with Paul, he was the manager of the theatre where I still work; we were the last to see the fellas that year 😪 It was good to have them back at our sister venue last year 💟
During Covid got the movie for my folks in their 80s. They enjoyed the story and music but especially the scenery of Port Isaac. Took their minds off their troubles ... house bound and isolated from all their friends.
I too have had the honour of singing with the boys on 3 occasions now, 62 years old and I unashamedly wept during the film (we all know when) just love these boys, a shanty singer myself.
I love the movie and it really shows we've lost a lot of our roots to the modern age. It's great to see a group of amazing fishermen & singers keeping our roots alive. From a Canadian with roots in Kent & Lincolnshire.
Ah definitely.... The folk music should be cherrished. I just looked up a Geordie folk song which led me to this. Both my Grans used to sing to me as a kid.
I broke down in tears three bloody times in the film about these guys. And to hear my home state of South Australia get a mention in a song was just a thrill.
Came here because of the movie. Fell in love with Port Issac watching Doc Martin. Recognized the town instantly. Such a lovely bunch of characters. Hadn't heard of Fisherman's Friends before but love harmony singing. Great that these guys made it big.
It isn't big enough to be a town! Port Isaac is a great place though. I've been there plenty of times. I love it! I had my lunch one day on the hill behind them in the distance. Amazing!
Im really like to travel in UK and then I watch this beautiful movie “Fisherman’s Friends” it makes me feel more more excited to go there especially the place they called Port Isaac, North Cornwall United Kingdom.
Raised up on the boats on the west coast of Canada and 40 years on the boats for my own living .i just watched the movie and that’s some crew over there.God bless ye boys and keep on making the song.youre gettin her done.
We loved watching the movie. It’s great to see Port Isaac as Port Isaac and yet be so familiar with all the locations. God bless Cornwall, Port Isaac and the Fishermen Friends.
Watched both movies over this weekend. What a superb comedic couple of films. Well done chaps. Singing and talking can't beat it. And yes I joined in with the singing in the cinema.👍👍
I yearn for this. The culture of Port Isaac is everything I want in life. Tradition, love of the sea, community, history, culture, and a hearty folk. God bless you all
So much fun! ... Songs that came from drinkin,' made to be sung while drinkin'!! Never heard of these Guys or the movie so I looked it up. The lead Actor's first name: 'Tuppence' -- I love it! They couldn't have staged this any better -- most beautiful place in the WORLD!!
Watched this film on Netflix last night and I went to bed singing "Drunken Sailor" and woke up this morning still singing....truly uplifting, feel good, happy movie to watch to lift one's spirits during this difficult time in our world. Highly recommend! Bravo!!👏😊

Discovered, these Gentlemen watching Fisherman's Friends the movie on Prime Video, brilliant film :-) real feel good, just what we need in these times :-)
Just saw the movie here in Canada yesterday, but learned about Port Isaac (via the long-gone North Cornwall Railway) a few months ago...what an amazing part of the world you are blessed to live in...thanks to the original Fisherman's Friends (and to the guest singers!) for their beautiful songs!
The first person I talked to in college was Paul McMullen. This film did him, and the band justice, with a warmth and humour you don't always see. Absolute treat, and RIP Paul and Trevor.
I used to work with Paul Mc and we were the last to see them before the incident........there's a few of us at our theatre who haven't seen the film yet as it's still a bit raw 😥
Love the music and the film. Looking forward to the new film and going to the stage musical. Have always lived singing along to sea shanties. Drunken Sailor is probably one of the first songs I learned as a child back in the 50s
I'd never heard of any of this- the town, the people, or the movie, but UA-cam recommendations knows I like Irish folk. I'll have to check out the film!
Saw the film last night and it was brilliant.. Went to Port Isaac for the first time last year and fell in love with the place... Returning for two weeks this year so hoping to see The Fishermen's Friends singing their shanties..
I don't know how much artistic licence the film had, but it was very much a great story to experience and I'm sure it was just as fun and heartfelt a story to tell. I'm glad everyone seems to have enjoyed it as much as I did in the cinema and as much as I do listening to the CDs.
I'm glad folk music is making a comeback. I used to go to folk clubs back in the early 70s. Live music with no artificial aids such as autotune and no glitz and glamour. Just real people singing real songs.
Now that's a man's song that we all humans can enjoy! Go into most pubs in Island and there is live music in most pubs, locals with their own instruments all coming and going, great night out in most Irish pubs! They sure know how to have a good sing song and their beer is not bad!
Ahhhh this is fantastic!!!!
Thank you so much for singing and sharing this past time favourite 😍🙏🏼🙌🏼

I believe you are absolutely right. It's why acts like this, Great Big Sea, and Stan Rogers are all popular and highly regarded
Thanks for making me homesick for the Uk
Absolutely, from the song, the camaraderie, the scenery, the accordion, etc, so much culture top to bottom. Love it
I think you are correct.
i live down the road

Jim Main you are welcome it was a good night and I look forward to seeing the film x
Saw the film last night and have to say it was fantastic!
Saw the film today - One of the best I have seen for ages. Well done all. Fab story.
Saw the film yesterday it was amazing all the emotion was unleashed
Looking forward to seeing the movie. This is truly brilliant stuff...

But, are yer Cornish?
How are you?
*********** Two thumbs up from a Retired US Navy Sailor !! *************
Oh the young Lad in the ball cap, guitar and voice with harmony...let’s hope the young ones keep this rousing music very much Alive!
There's something special about male voices singing - goose bumps!
Thanks Lynne.
I am a men and it sounds super mens voices 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Couldn't agree more, the richness, the harmonies gives me goosebumps

Awesome to hear! I’m a fishing charter in the US. Maybe I’ll get my clients to sing along while we fish. 🤓
Simply wonderful ❤ 🇮🇪
I bet the tin mines rang with wonderful singing too :) and the sea keep singing Cromwall and LOUDLY
Singing is food for the soul. Everyone should sing.
I used to work with Paul, he was the manager of the theatre where I still work; we were the last to see the fellas that year 😪
It was good to have them back at our sister venue last year 💟
Man! That younger guy singing the harmony is just amazing!
1969Kismet Toby also sings as Loveridge. Check him out on UA-cam x
Certainly is, and certainly added to the song!
I can't get enough of these guys at the end of 2020. Some much needed nourishment for the soul!
I was watching their movie when New Year counted down this year. Good end to a rough year. Great band to open 2021 with.
my sentiments too :-) x
Absolutely

Nice little movie.
Loved it and have now downloaded their music.

The young guy playing the guitar, his harmonies are amazing xx ❤
Might be the best version I have ever heard. So lively!
I lived in Cornwall for years and as an American, it reminded me of Maine! So beautiful and the natives are pure gold!
I love these men!!!! Great energy. Hello from the US!🪗
I too have had the honour of singing with the boys on 3 occasions now, 62 years old and I unashamedly wept during the film (we all know when) just love these boys, a shanty singer myself.
Somehow I just feel nautically better after watching this…and I live in the desert!
Unity and joy always win over fear and isolationism.
I’ve taken up shanty singing because of this lot. ❤
I love the movie and it really shows we've lost a lot of our roots to the modern age. It's great to see a group of amazing fishermen & singers keeping our roots alive. From a Canadian with roots in Kent & Lincolnshire.
What movie ?
Fisherman’s Friends the movie
Ah definitely.... The folk music should be cherrished. I just looked up a Geordie folk song which led me to this. Both my Grans used to sing to me as a kid.
Great movie! Watched multiple times! Thanks all!
Nice surprise to hear this song I learnt during my first English classes .I'm French. Xxxx from Southern France.
I broke down in tears three bloody times in the film about these guys. And to hear my home state of South Australia get a mention in a song was just a thrill.

Harmony is an amazing element. One voice on it's own verses multiple voices coming together.
Love this film 🎥!!💕🤗
Home sick today and found the film . Thoroughly enjoyed it.
