Vol. 14 - Compilation of Sea Shanties & Traditional Folk - (ft. Slogmåkane Sjantikor)

- This compilation features songs from Norwegian band Slogmåkane Sjantikor.
With a sound similar to that of The Fisherman's Friends, they perform classic sea shanties and traditional folk, with energetic yet relaxing energy and instrumentation.
I have added lyrics if you would like to sing along, which you can view by activating 'Subtitles/CC'.
Thanks again to everyone who has listened, commented, and subscribed so far. As always, it is very much appreciated.

Thank you very much. It's always been difficult for me to find music that I like, but your collections are something. I’ve been listening to it all day long for several months now and will continue to listen.

Wonder if anyone knows of a song about the sinking of the Bsy of Panama in March 1891 on the Lizard? Sailing from Calcutta to Dundee in a terrible storm. Would make a great story if not. A local young man walked 20 miles in snow to warn them in Falmouth.

There was a compilation video like this that featured the song Mollymauk by Fisherman's Friends.
Does anyone know what happened to it?
Its so sad seeing you slowly loose views
:(
Ahh, the eternal ebbing and flowing of the UA-cam algorithm. It'll be good, matey
True, but I think that is partly due to the Wellerman craze subsiding somewhat. Hopefully another shanty will go viral soon :)
Many thanks for sticking around though, shipmate :)
Thanks Solomon, here's hoping :)

@@CaptainHalyard i see that viking based songs are slowly gaining traction. maybe an idea to expand and grab a wider audience?
