    My mom makes this and does not use a crockpot. She just boils at all day in a big huge stock pot and has to drain the water off. But I am going to try your method. I am totally blind, and I think it would be easier. I am going to attempt this recipe for my boyfriend and I for Saint Paddy‘s day tonight. Thank you for being so descriptive in your video! That helps a lot!

    My aunt from Nova Scotia always makes boiled dinner with everything you have there but the meat she uses is spareribs. They come out very tender and a fall aparty, as I say, lol.

    it's similar to the one i cook, except i use salt beef, ( soaked overnight ) plus ruttabaga and i make a split yellow peas pudding, a small stuffed and baked turkey, and i got yumm when smothered in my homemade gravy.

    I love your process, and don't ever think that what with your potatoes you do is wrong. If it works... Do it.

    Looks yummy, I think I will try this, we both like corn beef but never tried cooking it fresh, and also liked the tips on warm water and warming your crock pot ahead

    We had a boiled chicken dinner down at our Firehouse and Cribbage afterward. One of our local drunks tried to flush a whole chicken down the toilet. Hell of a mess we had. We had toilet overflow all the way down the street. The mayor said no more dinners at the firehouse. All because of one drunken idiot

    I do the same thing. Don't know why you'd rinse them with the skin still on if your peeling them.

      no sand or grit bits get into the recipe, easier to peel, easier on the cutting blade .

    Tips from a gourmet
    1. Never use red corned beef, that's nasty stuff.I wouldn't feed it to a dog. Always use the grey corned beef , the Irish kind. It's the difference between night and day.
    2.Peaing potatoes rinse then peal the cut out all the black spots, then rinse again--------- a woman that peals a potato and leaves the black spots in them does not know how to prepare a spud and is just damn lazy. Potatoes are sposed to be white--- not speckled. Potato black spots --------EEWWWWWWWWW.
    3. If I was cooking a romantic candle light dinner for you, I would feed you a peanut butter and mayonaise sammich before I'd feed you red corned beef.

    • @29kyoung
      @29kyoung  2 роки тому +4

      Are you saying I don’t know how to prepare potatoes 😂 and that I’m lazy? 😂😂😂 OKAY 😆😆😆. I believe that was still potato peal that just wasn’t pealed off and not black spots 🙄🤣🤣🤣 but I hope by commenting all of this that it has satisfied something with in yourself… and to be rude to another person?? that you have no knowledge of …. Life is hard enough, people don’t need the options and judgement of others… especially about something so trivial as red corn beef and potato’s … really??? I am just someone that simply wants to do something fun and bring a video about cooking …
