I have 20% from spell boost in 4th job, 30% from leafre codex effect, 40% that doesn't show in stat window (weakening aura and finishing blow), and 50% from legion, and I'm sitting at 80% ied.

So I know these videos came out a long time ago but like for some reason I keep coming back and watching them and to be honest I blame you Kyo.... You are the reason I have changed mains like 8 different times.... And I swear its about to happen again. Ya boys about to make a battle mage and grind it up to level 200 while giving up on his 212 Hero ( Who used to be a NL but after seeing your 5th job video for hero and feeling your energy for world reaver I changed classes...) I just wanted to thank ya for all the videos you have made

I'm surprise you didn't introduce the 5th job skills like the Aura Scythe xD.
Shame not many don't bother to give this class a try, but it's understandable when you look into its pros and cons.
Sure it does not possess much variety of skills like other classes in general, but once you reach 5th job, the play style slightly change with not just the Aura Scythe, but mainly the Altars.
Anyway, good guide on the BaM and it's okay if you ramble on in the video, that just simply shows you love the class with passion and it's fun xD.

Aww~ Thanks for watching! I was saving them for their own video, now that I look back, I could have gone over the link skills in these as well as doing a separated video for links. Oh well, I'm gonna be remaking these older laggy videos one day.
I think I’m going to chose this class because I love ghosts I love fast attack blade classes and mage classes and I prefer attacking up close and dodging attacks is fun for me its perfect for me!If it’s not a good starter class I’ll chose angelic buster or Mercedes instead.

I used to play BW main and it drank that MP like water, so I am going to try Battle mage when it comes out. ofc deleted that account bc it was pointless
@@howardchi9587 oh, MP is not an issue to me but I might just give BM a try when it gets released. I´m relieved that BM uses the same gear like BW. If MP wasnt an issue, would you still go with BW or BM? I main BW and I´ve been playing MSM for a month now and I´m 160 but yet I feel really squishy comparing to the other classes. Kind of sucks since I´m lowkey a P2W player lol.

Howard Chi I always come online before the hot time, and basically farm the whole night. Also, I have those exp tickets which I always use. Just basic stuff lol. And since its quarantine I've been playing EVERY day. xD
I also got to leech in sf 153 for couple of days so that helped me a lot.
I made a battlemage recently on the reboot server, prior to watching this video. Had a lot of fun, at lvl 141 at the moment. I wonder if it’s possible to go further and get decent gear without funding this class.
Also if you could tell me which is easier to play as unfunded, a demon slayer or a battle mage. I love them both, but I need one that can go well with the reboot server.

As long as you're having fun, that's all that matters! Though because it's reboot, I can't be too sure. I always assumed that the growth would be the same for every class since you're working on everything yourself without a market.
Like in Bera I'd say it's easier to be battle mage due to INT being cheaper than STR. But in reboot, you don't have to worry about that.
I prefer battle mage anyway, so I'd stick with that if it were me.
Though demon slayer DOES have some crazy good abilities. Like 100% crit on the main bossing skill, a bind, good map clear, and is more simple in playstyle.
Either way, I love battlemage.

i'm planning to burn a new character, but im stuck between choosing a Battle Mage or a Dawn Warior.. the thing is i really like Battle Mage but i'm afraid it gets boring and dull quickly because of the repetitive skills so i'm thinking about choosing a Dawn Warrior (The Slashes are so swift and the Moon/Sun Skills are so Wonderful) but i'm afraid i will regret not having the fast Combat Teleport playstyle of the Battle Mage... which one should i choose to burn? just give me your opinion... btw i really like your vids you put a lot of dedication into them so i wish you luck :D
I could give you a long answer if you prefer that, but I'll keep it short for now.
Go Dawn Warrior because why not.
Battle Mage is my favorite of the two though.

@@nerd5054 I prefer to teleport cast my attacks. It feels more immersive...sorta. Like you do more than just hold down 1 button. Also the auras are really nice and helpful if used correctly. If you and your party need to heal, switch to the red aura, etc.
The reaper is also really cute which is a nice bonus. I've always loved battle mage, even back when they first came out. I love their present style though.
hi im new to maple and im considering maining this class.. is this class good for bossing/ training? also, is this class difficult to fund?
I wouldn't really recommend it as a first class to try. Though it's one of my favorite mages.
You'll need to attack a teleport a lot. The mobbing is fun for me, and the bossing is even more fun. Due to their buffs, they can be kinda strong. However, I'm not too sure how they do completely unfunded. I'll have to remake one to remember.
Oh also welcome to maple! I would suggest killing monsters outside of perion called jr. boogies, to get their familiar card.
Battle mage uses a lot of mp at the start, and jr boogie familiars will heal your mp over time.

It seems like you like this class. A lot of comments say this class is easy to get bored. I am thinking of funding a BaM in reboot.
Yeah! One of my favorite mages! I suppose it depends on who you ask. I enjoy the idea of teleport attacking. Makes it feel mobile and doesn't get stale for me. I recommend giving them a shot. The main problem with the class is that it relies on server latency, so if the servers are lagging, you won't be able to tele cast as quickly. Either way, I hope you enjoy the class!
KyoWantsCute Thanks for your quick respond! I live in California, so far I don’t have the lagging problem, even playing blaze wizard. Actually I played blaze wizard after watching your video. But unfortunately, i am tired with it, because of its low defense, low damage on bossing and high MP cost :/
@@mengmengfang2817 No problem! It's too bad youtube doesn't tell me about comments sooner lol. Ooh I see. Well BaM can heal itself if you use the red aura, and doesn't use too much MP, at least I didn't. Actually I remember using a lot of MP in 1st job, but that's most classes I think.

I like the current dark genesis, mainly because of how quick it is, keeps me on the move while training.
Which tornado did you prefer? The one where you could move around with it but it didn't increase in size, or the one where you're stationary but it gets larger?
At the time tornado was great, but I think it would go unused if it were to return.

Try to teleport only after your attack comes out. You'll want to attack, then teleport, attack, teleport, and so on.

i used to main the hell outta BaM ever since it came out. Then when hypers came out, I was happy cause the 170 hyper was just extra dmg, no cd nothin..... then they took that away.... then they took away my constantly stacked auras.... the reaper was cute, sure, but unless BaM gets back the stacked auras at least he's stayin on the shelf
It certainly was fun back then. Though, I kind of like how it is now that some time has passed. It made me feel like we had it too easy back then. Now there's more options, which is what I like.
I definitely get what you mean though, hopefully you find another class to enjoy. Maybe pathfinder.

dude, is it your PC or the game? or the software you are using? this constant lag is REALLY annoying! i watched like 10 videos of yours and it's really getting to me. on dual blade, i wanted to see the Final cut, but the lag prevent from seeing the animation ._.
Haha! That's the game. Though if I kill more than 6 monsters at the same time, then that's me. Or if the skill is like corsair's 5th job skill.

Petite planet is a good event to get things. If you make the environment mountains you can get occult cubes or other items to upgrade.
Many of my mules were funded through my main. My main was funded through events, time and luck until some friends gave me some nice items.

Ice lightning has better training, but battle mage has better bossing most of the time, but not all of the time. Depends on the boss really.

Top mobbers: Luminous, Illium, Kanna (mainly because of kishin, but also because of their revamp,) Thunder Breaker, Ark, Evan, and so on lol.
For bossing: Blaster, Bucc, Cadena, Marksman, Kanna after revamp, and pathfinder. Keep in mind these are all just my opinion.
Best at both: Aran, Night Walker, Cannoneer, Corsair, revamped Kanna, and Illium. No particular order.
I know I did more than 5 lol but yeah my opinion isn't always the same on "best" classes because it's all situational. Dependent on the map, or boss.

Hm...I'm not sure. I do see people complaining about high ping ruining the class.
Having the teleport not be client sided makes it easier than most other mages.
I think if you have high ping you can use sweeping staff twice if you press and hold(that's how i do anyway...)

I mentioned the skill at around 9:08. Being I don't think it will 1 shot when you're unfunded. Least you got there haha.
@@KyoWantsCute I was unfunded for a int main stat and started ohkoing with combat teleport at saites at lvl 80 or so. Seriously strong class, fun to play too.
@@possumsoul3642 Oh wow! They must have buffed it since the time I got my BaM to 200. Most likely true since back then Dark Shock was an attack that you shot out in front of you instead of being linked to teleport.
too bad this class is too reliant on ping :/ would've mained it if i wasnt 240 ping on GMS lol.

@@tehutehu451 Anything but Pathfinder, Blaze Wizard, Dawn Warrior, or Battle Mage. I mean, where's a bit more, but those are the big ones to avoid.
I would recommend Dark Knight, cause let's say you die, well then you have final pact to save you. You also heal with every attack, so that saves the need to delay potions. You also have hyper body which increases your hp and mp so you have more chances to survive anyway.

Which one?
One of them allows you to summon the reaper more often while also adding another line of damage to your attacks.
The other one is a giant staff that you swing.
The giant staff will do damage when you first swing it, as well as with the giant slam explosion.
If an enemy has the dark shock debuff on them, the giant staff will let dark shock activate.
