    Excellent video . I wish I was in your area. I’ll be searching out a good PT in my area , am losing a few extra lbs and am seeing a surgeon for the sole purpose of injections… but I know one day it’ll have to happen…so I want to know the dr well before that point…probably cortisone since insurance won’t pay for gel series injections. Both my knees are bone on bone mostly on the outside … I am 67 years old and I am petrified of just the idea of my leg being sawed and an artificial knee being put in . I know the recover is long and very difficult.. and to make matters worse I have OA in my ankles too…thank you again . Have a great week

    Hi, thank you for the vid. I am in such ugly pain! I've been in pain for over a year. My doctor told me that knee replacement might be the next step because everything she's put me on has not work. Then, I saw your vid and I did not know they had knee on knee braces. My doctor gave me a regular brace which made me hurt more. I am gonna try the OA Pro brace. I hope it works. Please, everyone, wish me luck!

      I know from experience with my back, braces, shots, therapy, losing weight only help so much. It doesn't cure the pain.
      I've had 1 knee replacement and have the other one scheduled. Nothing takes the place of repairing it and getting out of excruciating pain.

    Another one is dangling your legs off a high table and just paddle your feet, better still apply ankle weights and a heat pack on the knee. The weights stretch the fibia and tibia causing a vacuum in the joint which draws in more blood into the synovial fluid. Heat pack attracts more blood thinking like a hot shower. The objective is to reverse arthritis. I learnt this off another video followed it for 3 to 4 months and totally ended my pain. At 60, can still run for half an hour, walk for 2 hours, with no pain.

No one NEEDS surgery (it's elective surgery), but for some people it's the best option to improve quality of life as a last resort after conservative options have been exhausted. Disagree with your study saying PRP was not superior to cortisone or gel. A recent meta analysis showed that those studies showing no effect had too low a dose of platelets. Effective treatment required 8-9-10 million platelets. Which reveals a problem. Since this is your own blood you may not have a high concentration of platelets and there is likely no way for the practitioner to determine the platelet count.

    • @More4Life
      @More4Life  6 місяців тому +2

      Thanks for sharing the updated study results. Do you have a link to the article?
      Platelet count is a normal part of a Complete Blood Count (CBC) panel though with norms of 150,000 to 450,000 / microliter. If say 9 million were needed at ~300,000 per microliter, that would be about 30 microliters, or 0.03 milliliters of UNCONCENTRATE blood, which is not a lot. Even on the low end, 0.06 mL is still not much. It seems like one would have to be severely deficient in order to not be able to get that many platelets.
      P.S. I'm not arguing with you... I just find it interesting. Please do share the article link if you have it.

    I was under the impression that cortisone injections enhance the arthritis.

    • @More4Life
      @More4Life  12 днів тому

      Repeated cortisone injections (or any corticosteroid) can weaken bones and collagen (cartilage). One every now and then most likely won't, but if you're needing them every 3 months or so, the risk goes up.

    How can you compare arthretic knees with heart disease or say you can live without surgery when some cannot walk or sleep because of their knees. You make it sound almost like the pain is their imagination.

    • @More4Life
      @More4Life  3 місяці тому +2

      No pain is imaginary. All pain is real. What I meant is that you CAN live in pain, although it lowers quality of life. If you're having a heart attack, without a surgery, you probably won't survive. There was no intent to trivialize anyone's pain or suffering.
