    This was really helpful. All though I'm still not completely sure, this has helped me narrow in on having dominant Fi and inferior Te.

      Great! Keep learning. And remember, try to catch yourself when your inferior shows up. Catch it, and try to define what it is. People or process. And if you aren't sure, don't worry cause your inferior will show up again and again. Now that you are aware of it, you can catch it and analyze it. Best of luck to you! 🤗

    I needed this. What stresses me out the most is conflict. I feel responsible to be the peace maker. It hurts so badly when people fall out. I become a mother as I wanted love. Unconditional. When I was around 9 I got really upset by the fact every single day I had to wake up, get dressed, brush my teeth and go to school / work etc for the rest of my life. I hated it 😢 when I was around 16 I told my then bf that I was aware that i felt different around different people so I wanted to explore those feelings so think im a f type so thought im at least an nf type but been going round in circles on which one. So maybe i should look into others as i have honed in on enfp / enfj / infp / enfp. Keep changing my mind. My daughter says which type are you now 😂but I really want to figure it out for stress reasons as when I get stressed I can feel quite poorly physically. So it is for health reasons 😢

      If you can, try to separate introversion from extroversion first. Have you found that answer yet? 🙂

      I think it's se inferior. As I don't react well in the moment. Also when I'm focusing on something someone can talk to me or walk past and I am totally unaware. It's like they appear by magic. It's a run in joke in my house. I can watch a movie and be unaware of my surroundings and then it's like I wake up and remember I'm in the room. I've asked other people if they do this and they think it's weird. I had a sticker on my trousers the other day and my daughter pointed it out and I said yes I know I will put it in the bin now and then she reminded me again and I got a bit annoyed as I 'knew and then we went to town and she reminded me again 🤣 oops 😬 I scan messages and get through just of things especially when stressed. I thought it could be te as I don't like too many things happening at once. But thinking more se. Forever getting food on my top and forgetting it's there too. Wonder if anyone else is like that or is it just me lol 😆 x

    Recently I realized (well, a therapist let me know actually) that I have had the impression that negative emotions are cringey and having emotions interferes with what I'm trying to do and logic and the big picture (I value logic and intuition more than feeling I guess), but I actually SUPPRESS my emotions to avoid having to deal with them because my only coping mechanism is avoidance (I even mask what I think of as "irrational feels" around just MYSELF when I'm alone). We were going about the path of "I need to change my thinking patterns" not realizing that the reason I'm stuck is not my negative self talk but because I avoid dealing with fear, frustration and hurt (and it often comes out as anger or overt anxiety) and it's easier to feel nothing than to feel certain emotions, hence why I'm terrible at dealing with them, because I've been avoiding dealing with them instead of trying to ignore them probably since 9-10 years old. Not sure what type is most likely to do that, but what a thing to discover in my 30s, thinking I was over emotional and needed to offload those feels so I can strictly be logical unless I want to feel... and that's not how life works... all this time I thought I just needed to get rid of emotions instead of accepting them and ACTUALLY dealing.

      What an incredible self realization. Great work. Most people will struggle their whole lives to accept that it is not other people they need to work on, but themselves. I talk about that in my other video, "The Twist Ending of Your Type." As for your Type, it seems like you may be pointing to a "people" problem on where your stressors are. Remember, start with determining whether you are Introverted or Extroverted first, if possible, then go to people vs. processes. I'll be making more videos on this topic as well to continue to help. Thanks for your comment. Best of luck to you. 🤗

    This helped so much, thank you! Funnily enough, when I first read about cognitive functions, I typed myself as Se dominant/Ni inferior, but I wasn't too sure. Went through a ton of types trying to figure out what I was cognitively, and... here I am again, just a bit more confident as a Se dominant/Ni inferior this time lol

    There's a difference between social introversion and cognitive introversion. Social introversion is wanting to be alone getting energy alone. Cognitive introversion is to turn inward, self-reflecting. Cognitive functions/typing should be based on cognitive introversion/extraversion and not the social aspect. Socially should be used to reference behavior, not cognition. You can be a social introvert and a cognitive extravert or vice versa. You can also have the same in both introvert/introvert etc.

    Ok so I consider myself an introvert but most of my stress comes from me. I’ve suffered with low self esteem for a long time and it’s affected my ability to function. I’ve been lifting weights and going for long walks for over a decade because of this. I always wear air pods during my walk but I’m not intimidated by what’s around me. I just didn’t have friends growing up and only have one friend now and didn’t have a significant other in high school or college. That’s why I think I’m an introvert

    • @ConsciousPatterns
      @ConsciousPatterns  10 місяців тому +1

      Hello friend! Just remember, Introversion is about our reference point to the world, not about social interactions. As mentioned in the video, it can be difficult to see our orientation in the world around us, and many people have an incorrect view of themselves.
      Try to use that 3rd person perspective and really try to see yourself from an outside perspective.
      Rewatch the video if needed, and if you still have questions, reach out to me on Facebook.
      Best of luck.

      Great! Keep focusing on that inferior when it shows up, and cross check it against your dominant.
      So if you believe you are inferior Fe, but when you cross check that with Dominant Ti, you don't see a LOT of factual statements and reasoning, you may be confusing that for Fi-Te. And then you can verify those.
      It's a great cross check, and will prove you got it right every time your inferior shows up.
      Congrats! Stick with it, you are getting close to verifying your Type! 🤗

    I found this video extremely helpful in confirming I am dominant Fi and inferior Te, and I am pretty sure I am an ISFP, but nonetheless, I find myself curious about that nurse's other axis. Did you confirm her as Ne/Si or Se/Ni? If so, was there a particular giveaway on which she was?

    • @ConsciousPatterns
      @ConsciousPatterns  Місяць тому +1

      Thanks for watching. Determining the first extroverted function (in her case, Se or Ne) is much easier since we are looking at focus in the outside world. Is it more tangible, focused on the object or sensory (Se), or more in the world of ideals (Ne). Again, it helps to look at what is being pushed away. In her case, she expressed that much of her spare time is taken with her fascination and practices of spiritual and abstract. She was focused on routines towards those insights. In her case, she realized quite easily she was not focused on the tangible, and would likely be considered by many as "odd". There were no contradictions to pull about, so the INFP type easily fell into place.
      Happy to hear the video was helpful. I'm so glad. Take care. 🤗

    I think I'm a entj with tertiary Se and inferior Fi. My younger self would throw things and over react (the police even got involved), I have a very strong ni.Not being able to control my emotions is my kryptonite. I would also cry when I was younger a lot for no reason. I even cried a few times at Love live start dash.i don't know why I think I was even introverted, I would used to talk on Skype with my friend for hours all the time where as introverts prefer to be alone. I'm a lot better at long term thinking than I thought I was and I never as a beginner at chess did a bad move. Only when I was on tilt and sacked my Queen for no reason (only time I got bad move on analysis l).I even beated a 1800 rated player once just clicking random buttons.

    Hey, can I ask you which function this might be? I was thinking about why I get aggrevated the most and besides the classic "loss of control" which I oh so hate, I am very specifically sensitive to when I think someone/something it is stealing my time. It's not about having a specific plan that someone disrupts, although yes, that really is annoying, but when I think about it, I think my biggest pet peeve is when someone is just losing my time on something totally pointless and maybe even more generally, when some external factor manages my time instead of myself. Examples: doing 10 steps instead possible 3 just because someone programmed something badly, or because they have some stupid procedure ; when someone ask me to do some kind of formality or politness that is pointless according to me; when I ask someone via email and they're not answering for a week even though it takes like 30 seconds to do so, and then to top it all they answer me in a way that looks like they haven't even read the original email so I have to ask them AGAIN and wait AGAIN instead of moving on with my life; generally having problems and delays because of someone's slowness and incompetence; sometimes literally when I have to be somewhere on time, I mean it's my time, what if i want to spend it how I want ; when someone speaks/writes in a pointlessly long way instead of speaking to the point. And lastly, I'll add a very concrete example from my actual life: during my studies I have an obligation to go to an educational stay abroad for a month. There's literally nothing I'm gonna be doing there, it's all just a formality so that they had something cool sounding in study requirements like "oh this programme means something, students go abroad". I have to do a gazillion steps to make it happen and actually completely waste a whole month of my life on slacking off somewhere where I wouldn't even go for a week vaccation and it's horrendously stressing and aggrevating for me and it must be a great example of my inferior function.
    EDIT: I'm asking because I have trouble deciding whether this is process or people related, and in case of people, I have trouble deciding whether I mind more their system or subjectivity. It seems to me like all of it applies.

    Great video. How does inferiror si manifets?

    • @ConsciousPatterns
      @ConsciousPatterns  6 місяців тому

      Inferior Si falls into processes. The person may struggle with or resist sticking to processes. They resist routines. They may not like sitting and focusing on the details and staying on a path for a long time. They may get anxious if they feel they are being put into a box with few choices. But remember, if the person has inferior Si, then they should be able to verify this by seeing Ne as their dominant.
      I could go on forever, lol, but hopefully this is a good starting point.
      Obviously, learning the cognitive functions in more depth will always help. I plan to do more in depth videos in the functions, so stay tuned.
      Thanks for the comment. Take care. 🤗

    Alright, I'm not bad at it or hate it but having to wake up every morning and make tea then breakfast then lunch and then doing the dishes I feel like I'm gonna die, even eating something my favourite everyday will eventually lead me to puke when I get the smell of it
    Which inferior function is this?

    • @ConsciousPatterns
      @ConsciousPatterns  2 місяці тому

      I always suggest to start at the beginning and focus on whether you are Introverted or Extroverted first. It's also important to look at your inferior more holistically. As I mentioned, each time your inferior (extreme agitation, boarding on fear) comes up, try to stop and focus on what it is (people or processes). With enough different examples, you can begin to see how they are similar. This helps prevent putting too much weight on any one curcumstance. Your experience with food may be related, or may be more of a physiological experience. By gathering more instances of when you experience your inferior (extreme fear, anger, avoidance) you will be able to decide whether this fits into your possible inferior, or is it's own separate issue.
      Focus on whether you are Introverted or Extroverted first (if you haven't yet), then focus on the inferior. Hope that helps a bit. Best of luck to you! 🤗

      @@ConsciousPatterns I generally avoid people unless I find them interesting, I could keep up with socialising as long as it's not boring, I can be alone too but not for too long, I'm socially introverted, I can easily start a convo with a new person until I notice their discomfort in their body language, am I introvert or extrovert?
      Extreme fear: losing freedom, being controlled, being hated, being stuck
      Anger: (don't usually get angry easily) when I offer a better or more original/creative choice/idea and they just ignore it, when people keep whining over the same problem even after giving them several ways to solve it or not to think about it, when someone says something negative and another person believes it just like that, when the making fun of someone goes overboard to the point of making a serious impact, when someone keeps sticking nose in my private matters without my permission, when not given choices
      Avoidance: iteration, anything uninteresting, memorising, gossips, routine, anything that could trigger my anger or other emotional outbursts, anything related to the fears
      That's all I know for now
      Is my inferior function identifiable?

    Can anxiety disorders such as social anxiety affect type?

    • @ConsciousPatterns
      @ConsciousPatterns  7 місяців тому +2

      Every type/person experiences the world in their own way, and certainly there are an incredible amount of variables that affect how we experience the world and how we try to manage it. As I mention in the video, Introverts will often experience the world outside of themselves (whether people or processes) as problematic and an intrusion that have to "manage." Social anxiety can affect any type. I would say instead that your type may lead to where your social anxiety is focused. As in the video, an INFJ may be stressed with the anxiety of having to deal with things in the moment (processes), whereas an INFP may deal with the social anxiety of not fitting into the social structures others expect (people). It's a big question with a lot of nuance, but I hope it helps answer it a bit. Take care. 🙂🤗
