I have another enlightening episode of Impact Theory, and I'm genuinely excited to bring you this thought-provoking conversation with the brilliant Konstantin Kisin.
We’re challenging the status quo and questioning how America is on the brink of becoming the next collapsing Roman Empire. We’re tackling the bold questions that need to be addressed. As we delve into this, we'll also explore why we might need a new set of rules - not just to survive, but to seize opportunities and safely navigate the dangers of our rapidly evolving world.
Konstantin Kisin, brings to light some profound insights. He delivers simple statements packed with layers of meaning that we're going to unravel during our discussion:
    - Nature is a social construct and there is no ground truth
    - Reality defined in the way we speak and why that is power
    - Why rules of thumb equate to the success you experience
Join us in this riveting discussion, where we break down complex ideas and strive to understand how we can all play by a better set of rules for success. So, hit that play button, and let's get started. Remember, your journey to success starts here, and it starts now on Impact Theory.
So, buckle up for an episode filled with thought-provoking insights and hard-hitting truths.
    Kisin Quotes:
“One of the things that creates the core of a society its the interlocking of men and women.”
“There is no such thing as reality, there is only power, and language is how power is exercised and how reality is constructed.”
“We’re a moral paralysis in the west, at a level of society, [...] we’re incapable of understanding that reality.”
“The biggest problem with blank slate-ism is the attempt to pretend that human nature doesn’t exist.”

Tom's rattling to rationalize a trans brain, is actually how I used to think about it in the 2016 era. Now I just call it mental illness. Though I do think that a lot of the current trans people ain't actually real trans, (even if they did the surgery) as in having the gender dysphoria. Dylan Mulvaney for example is what I see as a fake trans (not actually having the dysphoria) that did transition. He is the type of "gay" that needs a lot of attention and becoming trans was his ticket for easy attention.

For me, I believe retirees who struggle to meet their basic needs are the ones who could not accumulate enough money during their active years to meet their needs. Retirement choices determine a lot of things. My husband and I both spent same number of years in the civil service, she invested through a wealth manager and myself through the 401k. We both still earning after our retirement.

ABSOLUTELY! I've been observing the discouragement of courage for at least the last 10-15 years on a large scale and what we have now is directly a result of that lack of courage. Politically correct culture was the start.

    • @jamesportrais3946
      @jamesportrais3946 9 місяців тому +2

Courage is important, but I wouldn't be too quick to beat yourself up over a rational level of risk mitigation. Since we are at least having this conversation I take it that you have adequate food, shelter and at least a general idea of what tomorrow might bring. As few as five generations past, your great-great grandparents couldn't say the same.
Average life expectancy was maybe 45, and that grinding drudge of daily existance held the hardly alluring prospect of a toothless, penniless, starving and generally miserable transition to ignominious death as a pauper, thrown into a pit alongside your peers, with a little quicklime added to hasten your erasure. That was in fact the fate of Mozart.
Gabrielle, what you're really saying is: "I want to be rich! If I could only gamble, maybe I could be rich!" It doesn't work like that. Some folk win the lottery (then predictably lose everything) meanwhile a lot more get struck by lightening.
"Maybe if I got really good - the best!" - generally doesn't hurt; it takes 5,000 hours to get seriously good at anything from a craft perspective, double that to get world class. Top surgeons, lawyers etc earn maybe $400,000/year putting insane amounts of time and effort in, typically at the expence of actually having a life. The very top tier of actors & other artists appear to cap-out around $600million net worth; for every one of them there are thousands pumping gas if I might quote the song.
The key to insane levels of wealth is scalability. You might be the best nurse, doctor or carer on the planet, but you can only care for one or two people at a time. To get truly rich you need a concept that can be scaled beyond your own physical resources. Once upon a time that meant owning a factory or business - parasitically capitalising on the efforts of others and simply skimming off the top. That usually required huge investment, which is why the "who you know, not what you know" idiom came into practice, and how class cultures were evolved.
Now Gabrielle, AI can do much of this work for you. For practically no initial outlay, relatively ordinary people are making stupid money selling books or drop-shipping.
Don't learn to code; AI can do that for you. Learn how to use AI. With a little luck, for the first time in history creatives will realise wealth within their own lifetimes.
You still here? Get busy!!!!!! 🙂

      "Curate a perfect sentence"
I have adhd, my mind moves incredibly fast from topic to topic, I can't see the sentence as it forms in my head before I speak it. Tom reminds me of me, and I can say it's not trying to curate the perfect sentence, it's attempting to convey your view which at some points is really hard to do when you can't plug in the word that makes the most sense to you. He's not full of it, he's trying to articulate his thoughts by putting them in order in his head and trying to get the word that coincides with his thoughts. Often if I don't do this people misunderstand what I'm saying.

Dude spent so much time doing this roundabout way to justify his cowardly world view and position, making it even more pathetic than it already is. I am also very grateful that transgenderism was not a thing when I was growing up as a Tomboy...I do not feel gender disphoric. I am very happily and confidently and clearly female, even though I probably have more testosterone than the average female. My goodness, you dont follow the conversation. Both of you are not talking about the same thing. One is talking about how the world is going and the other one is completely off. He talks about his own power and how to make your life better. WTF??
    Stay in the conversation Tom

around 1:27:00 I would say Masculinity is the degree to which you can affect the world and not be affected by it, where Femininity is the degree to which you are able to harmonize and integrate the world. Men hold the tent up, Women spread the tent out.

Fascinating discussion but I must say that, with respect, I could not disagree with Konstantin's take on the Israeli/Palestinian conflict more strongly. Over the past ten to twenty years there has been a material increase in global awareness at how the Palestinians of Gaza became refugees, at how they are treated and how they are denied the most basic of human rights. No one would accept for themselves and their families what has been forced upon the Palestinians. I do believe that there is a way forward and the way forward must be founded upon each side firstly acknowledging the right of the other to exist. A

Newer studies have shown that Napoleon was actually a little taller than average. When he was measured, they measured his skeleton, hence he would have been taller while alive - flesh on top of bones and so on. Also, I think he was measured in a French foot, and at the time a French foot and an English foot were not the same.

IMO, in a relationship, you actually need a balance of "masculine/feminine" traits from both parties, so a very masculine male and a very feminie female can definitely get along. if you are both highly "masculine" (impulsive, aggressive, private, organized, wanting structure, unhappy expressing emotions), you will clash in unpleasant ways, or if you are both highly "feminine" (emotional, nurturing, needing to express feelings, chaotic, sociable, interested in the new) your relationship will be filled with emotional incontinence. You see this with happy gay couples as well as hetero. This does not mean you can't both have similar interests that meet in the middle. And, of course there are sociable males, organized females, etc. These are broad strokes, to be sure.

I think one aspect that we haven’t heard much about in the trans discussion is the autism/neurodivergent prevalence. I have aspergers, I mimic and soak up the energy of whomever I’m around. Sometimes I’m more masculine feeling than other times because I’ve spent more time in my youth around boys because I was too different to fit in with girls because of being autistic. I have both feminine ways where I dress girly, and my mannerisms match my biology and at times I feel less feminine and more masculine and my dress sense and mannerisms feel more masculine to me. Im aware that some statistics say almost 80% of trans have autistic traits so this needs to be researched more because even though I feel more masculine I’m not a man trapped in a woman’s body - I’m a woman who at times feels more masculine. Because When my autism mirroring and mimicking traits facilitate me feeling more like the person I’m close too then I need to know this so that my identity is all my own and not coming from someone else’s, because ultimately that will cause inner conflict. This mirroring and mimicking is really helpful for some aspects of life but not all. If my mimicking is from the people I surround myself with and they believe certain things I have to be really careful that I stay connected to myself and my morals because I can be easily influenced to agree with something even if I don’t fully agree.
I need to know and understand all those different “feelings” if feminine and masculine. Especially if I’m a young developing mind because autistic children should not lose healthy sexual function by surgery and hormones on ideas that miss essential understanding. As an autistic women I’m also aware I can have rigid thinking, and beliefs, especially when I don’t get a “sense” or “feel” anything about topics but this doesn’t mean I’m right and it’s only because I’m a trained psychotherapist that I have the academic knowledge and personal discover and self awareness to examine this in myself. But omg look out if I hold a belief and you challenge that because I will have a solid argument and won’t back down, it may “feel” unsafe to
But if I trust you and you can show me new info which shows the gaps and holes in my argument, being a pattern spotter and needing completeness and perfection then I will admit I was wrong. If however you show me that new information and I come to understand I was wrong, but you’ve been critical of me and I’ve had to erect a protective shell and my emotions kick in, then even though I now agree with you, I won’t be able to share that with you because I don’t feel safe emotionally.
My logical rational world is different to my emotional world and this is essential to understand if we are to support people and make societal changes in such a massive topic.
Feelings are linked to our beliefs, which are not always right or factual and will often change as I grow up and learn new things. Beliefs are linked to our understand of words, our interpretation of words and this is what is easily manipulated and steered, as if by magic.
I don’t need to believe that gravity is a thing, if I walk off a cliff i will fall, my beliefs that I will fly won’t help me fly when I can’t because my biology has made me not able to fly.

thank you for sharing that complex perspective; self-awareness is kinda fun, innit? cool that you study psychology. read any transpersonal psychology? [no play on words intended here] (assagioli, etc- that was a while ago i was studying psych.) i mean you are very smart and metapsychology helped me get the depth perception i need...beyond mainstream academics and into the spirit causal side of things... the books by Castaneda helped as a teenager, and channelings of the Pleiadeans by Barbara Marciniak. So long ago! Wow. i am always trying to figure things out with a bigger perspective, and integrate all the parts. Then there were the Journey/Destiny of Souls books by Michael Newton... and Cosmic Agency on youTube...
      Fun stuff! Enjoy.
