I really like your style of narration. Your voice is well-suited for these videos. Very informative and fun to watch!
Interesting fact about The Flamingo...
My great uncle( hes still alive amd kicking) lol is one of the few living Tuskegee Airmen (yes he actually flew P-51s in WW2 with quite a few German kills) This was 1949 and the Army Air Corps became the U.S. Air Force... He was stationed at Nellis AFB for a competition called Top Gunner..Well he won that competition and the celebration was at the Flamingo...( History lesson.... Blk people were not allowed in Vegas casinos unless you were a cook, cleaning/housekeeping, valet/wait, or someother support out of sight staff)
The party for him and a few other pilots who went through this training competition was thrown at the Flamingo in their honor.... When my uncle arrived AT THE FRONT DOOR...WITH BANNERS SAYING CONGRATULATIONS CAPT. HARRY STEWART.... Security stopped him told him to leave or go around the back entrance. He pointed to the banners, and mentioned that my name, even the General who was there told security this is the honoree.. NO GO INTO COMING INTO FLAMINGO.. (BUT THE AIR FORCE WAS THROWING A PARTY IN HIS HONOR)
1999... The Tuskegee Airmen reunion.....was held at the Flamingo!!!! AND THE RED CARPET WAS ROLLED OUT INTO THE FRONT DOOR!!!
AND EVERY BLK FIGHTER PILOT (INCLUDING ME AS A YOUNG NAVY LIEUTENANT FIGHTER PILOT) and from every other branch, welcome and payed respect of love...
The Flamingo even offered a formal apology to my great uncle for the treatment he had to endure...
sounds like a bs story
Ohhh snap you gonna take that?
Dani, I think you're doing a fantastic job! Look forward to watching what's to come!
We have a special place for Flamingo in our hearts as it was the first hotel we stayed at during our first trip. The one thing that has remained a constant over the years is the scent- it instantly brings us back to 'vacation mode.' This is a great video for your first!!
Good job!!! I love your videos content is great...can't wait to get more history on vegas....I'm looking forward to my first trip there. Maybe this fall or early next year....
great video...love the history lesson, too!
I love you knowledge of everything. Nice video.
Thank you for the history of the flamingo, incredible history.
Great video...I live on the strip and its always good to here info on the history
So much to see in Vegas, Thank you
Great job on telling the true history of the Las Vegas Strip. Greatjob!!
I really like your Vegas casino history dialogue, as you tour walk and show the unique areas of the casino. I use to stay at The Imperial Palace (still have souvenirs) but that area sure cleaned up last 20yrs. Keep rocking those vids 😁
Excellent Job! Very Impressed!
Love your videos, Dani.
Your videos are very interesting. Thanks for posting
Awesome Video! Great tour of the Flamingo!
You did pretty good. Could have mentioned the secret passage / escape route Benjamin Siegel had. But you did research the history nicely. Good job!
Oh sweetheart, I was looking at you not watching your Video! Kind of kidding. Great video and please make more. You do as well as most vloggers!
Great video. Great dancing too lol
Very informative video. Thanks Dani.702
I liked all the information you put in vlog thanks
Always enjoy your videos thanks
Thank you Robin!
COOL VIDEO, GOT A LOT OF INFORMATION ABOUT VEGAS HISTORY OUT OF IT AND EDITING WASNT TOO BAD!!!! THANKS DANI!!
Great video and info about the Flamingo. Back in 1993 right before they were closing the last of the original buildings in the back to get ready for demolition I got to go through the the building called the Ogden and see Benjamin Siegel's apartment . Very freaky also got to see what the original hotels rooms looked like. Believe me it wasnt the Cosmo.
Very nice , I was at Frontier and the Flamingo in the 50s to the 80s they were GREAT !
You look real Hollywood in this vid!
Great video!
Awesome video I was fortunate to have seen the old section of The Flamingo just before it was torn down for the pool area including Ben Siegals suite equipped with an escape tunnel. I have to tell you though loved your Charleston bit but the music you are playing was Ragtime which was a precurser to the flapper era of the 20s. Either way it is not period to the era of the Flamingo....
Great video!! In 2016 we stayed there for a week but didn't see half of your backdrops.
Im in vegas Every 6 weeks atleast. Love your work. I usually stay at flamingo caesers and planet hollywood. Im pretty sure i saw you lol. I do editing for espn and Abc news so when im off im right there in VEGAS
Thanks so much for watching! How crazy if you saw me out on the strip. If you see me again say hello. :)

Andra R. Ya your hot
Lol I thought that guy was stocking you always in a background shot. Then you said your fellow at the end. Good video
Great video. I also live in Las Vegas.
Great job . keep doing video s .
you did great, i subscribed
You could mention that many of the scenes in the movie “viva Las Vegas” were filmed at the Flamingo especially the pool scene with Elvis and Ann Margret. It’s on UA-cam look up Elvis and Ann the song she loves me.
As usual....great video! I'd love for you to do a video of what happened between the Mob being driven out and leaving...and corporate taking over. There's a huge story there...not just arrests and convictions but about new alliances...the mob wasn't stupid.
Your awesome thanks for sharing❤
Well done Dani.702! Good night. My name is Rich☕😎
Thanks Rich!
Actually job well done...love the flamingo..
+Stephen Elliott thank you for watching!
Nicely done video! Do you plan on doing walk through videos of the other casinos?
Thank you! I do plan on filming at more casinos. I use my samsung phone to film and it's rear camera is not that great when I'm filming and walking. I'm almost done editing one I just filmed around The Mirage and Treasure Island. I have my eye on a camera I can use for a full walk through without making people sick from it shaking.
No problem! It's nice to see how things have changed since I was there last. From 2003 until 2012, I would go once a year. I haven't been since September 2012 though. I plan on coming back sometime next year. I hear blackjack tables calling me! HAHA!
Besides the plaque in the garden there are only two references to Bugsy in the hotel itself that I saw. There's one portrait behind the cashiers' cage and another leading to the bathroom, sacrilegiously enough. I asked a few souvenir shop vendors if they had anything with Bugsy on it and they had no idea who I was talking about.
Bees knees is also a phrase from the 1920s not the 1940s...
So I am guessing by the videos that this is your 2nd video made on this UA-cam channel. I like how you used the timelapse video. You got away from that in your more current videos. I finally walked out to see the Flamingos in the resort. Years past I just came to gamble. Your videos have shown me to go see more. This will be confusing to a lot of people who read your comments. Because I started at your latest video and went backwards. It also shows have much better your videos are as far a content. Your knowledge is SPOT ON! Next stop looks like Hoover damn.
Good job, thanks.
Thankxxx !!! I enjoyed your dancing ! You didn’t show the flamingos though ! Doh !
what about moe green and the corleone?
I liked it, thanks
Nice job!
The movie Viva Las Vegas, pool seen filmed, was filmed at the Famingo in the early 1960’s
You are as beautiful as any of the show girls/models in Las Vegas....thank you for the wonderful video...this was excellent
Loved your dancing.
Thank you! :)
Yes! Amazing
I have not watched your videos in awhile, did you move to Florida !
very interesting ty for sharing
they weren't doing the Charleston in the 1950's...OMG.

Thank you!
That chef you tell “table for one” looks like sls bought it and made it the sculpture infront of thier hotel

What about "Jerry's Nugget" at the north end of the strip?
Hi Dani just found your Channel. Good Job 👍🏻 just left a sub now i check your other videos.
Nice video
I hope that you have gotten more confident. These videos are very good. You are very knowledgeable, and you have wonderful delivery of Television news castor.
I hope so too! Thanks so much for the nice words. I'm hoping I'm getting better with each video.
You can get it anytime, anywhere
I like your video ,just keep practicing to make them better .
Thanks for the research information you've provided. 0:56 When you are doing your dance and sitting at a table, you look like a movietar!
Hey pretty good, but did you know there was some guy wearing a Subaru tee shirt stalking you?
lol. My husband.
I used to work for Beldon Katleman who owned The El Rancho, he refused to pay the mob insurance money (wink wink nudge nudge) so they burned the hotel down & was told if he or any of his family showed up in Vegas they would kill them.
Got my stimulus finally. Hopefully you did as well. Girl you can dance. Later Dani
Ben Siegal was killed in the home of his girlfriend Virginia Hill which was in the Los Feliz area not Hollywood and the original Flamingo was only two floors no tower there. The first high rise hotel was The Riviera built in 55.
I was neighbors with the Daughter of Thomas Hull (whose name was mispronounced btw) and his former wife who was in her 90s would look out at the lights of the strip occasionally and say "Just look at what we started..."
60's Vegas is cool. I will stole Einstein
liked your video... you should get a Gimbal for your camera... then your presentation would be silky smooth!
Thank you! I'll look into it. 👍
yup im from los angeles. pastrami are all over los angeles. but not las vegas...!! lol... closest place i found is "TOMS" i think its on the northside. google it. same food like los angeles pastrami, pastrami burgers, and giant fries. lol.
There used to be a place way back in the mid 70s called Foxys. It was a little hole in the wall casino with a lunch counter. It was on the NE corner of Sahara and Las Vegas Blvd. My pops would take me there for their Hot Pastrami sandwiches with mustard. They were 89 cents.....
You have a nice laugh!
The Frontier was also the place of the LONGEST STRIKE in the USA bye the frontier casino workers. Decades long and you could go there and see a booth outside of a few remaining workers. BUGSY was retired gangster STYLE... love it! billy Wilkerson selling to bugsy... bud Wilkerson had the winning streak of the century for college football: 50 games in a row... ND defeated Wilkerson 6 to 0 ending the streak...I did not know billy sold to BUGSY.... quit buggy me?
I think Wilkerson was "persuaded" by Bugsy and his pals. I had no idea he had the winning college football streak or the longest strike. Dang!
Wilkerson did not sell the Flamingo because it wasn't constructed yet it was his dream baby and he was squeezed out mob style...
When you find a good editor that can help you cheaply let me know too!
I hate new vegas. I like vintage vegas. I stay downtown. The machines are great at el cortez. I love seeing busgsy picture in front.
Good job, very attractive!
Also ben Siegal was not a member of the Mafia he was not Italian he was a member of the mob big difference...
Very pretty girl. Nice Charleston dance, too
I better check out the Flamingo, before they demolish it!
