When we first started visiting Las Vegas, we did not visit Fremont St very often and thought it was more of a onetime thing to do, but now that we have a UA-cam channel, we have learned of so many awesome spots to visit and now enjoy Fremont St just as much as the Las Vegas strip. Great list - Apologies if you said these and I missed them, but here are a few things I show to folks: Sand Dollar at Plaza, Speakeasy at Mob Museum, Sharks around pool at Nugget, historic steak houses (Oscars, Hugo's, Andiamo's), Legacy Club at top of Circa, and maybe mention freebies you get when joining players clubs for the first time. Great video.

I spent 4 days in Las Vegas in March and once we "discovered" Fremont Street, we ended up spending 3 of the 4 days there. It was a blast.

My sister and I stayed at the Four Queens there, mainly because it was cheaper and there was no resort fee, and we genuinely _loved_ the spot. While not as huge as the Strip, it’s super lively, fairly affordable, and has a history of its own. We definitely plan to visit again one day! 😁

I made reservations for June at the El Cortez. Haven’t stayed downtown since the 70’s. Only been to Fremont St once since covered. Had a chair massage. 😅
Man just got back today! Stayed at the D on Fremont. I can not recommend this place enough! Insane city to visit!

Excellent work on this video! You can tell the amount of effort that went into it especially with all the background history & notes you infused into it. Videos like this are especially helpful for people who don’t visit downtown on their holiday to Vegas (personally I feel like Downtown is way better than the strip).
There are a couple bonuses if I may:
Laundry room behind commonwealth: Intimate Speakeasy where only about 10-12 people allowed in at a time. Quiet location & has an old school feel.
Downtown Cocktail room:
Per the website “THE OLDEST CONTINUALLY-OPERATING BAR IN DOWNTOWN LAS VEGAS.”
Another intimate spot with an excellent happy hour with half off alcohol & $10 cocktails.

Great video! We just got back had a great time on Fremont St., at night not a place for kids, seen so many being dragged around. While stationed in Germany I grabbed a piece of the crumbling Berlin Wall!

The phone at the Golden gate just a replica it says so right on the plaque you zoomed in on as you said it was the original.

I like the casinos on Fremont and live music. But in general I am not a fan of the Fremount Experience. Between the drunks, people in the circles and the obnoxious behavior ...we started going less and less.
You missed checking out Sigma Derby at the D!
You should have mentioned the Match Play for travelers with boarding passes. El Cortez, The D & Golden Gate offer this. I’ve won a quick 75$ several times with this offer.

We have visited a few times now, but haven’t booked a stay yet. It’s pretty $$$ on the weekends and we can only go weekends due to work.
I remember when my buddy Ben bought the El Cortez. Nice guy but a little bit of a loose cannon. It was best if you didn’t even look at Virginia. That would set him off every time.
Y'all should check out some shows at Noteriety on the 3rd floor of Neonopolis. There are some hidden gems up there like Chase Brown.

Nonononono. Before taking pics of costumed people on Fremont or the Strip, ASK them first what they expect and use that to decide. If you don't want to pay that, don't take the pic.

I am a Vegas regular. You're showing a very sanitized version of Fremont Street. It's dirty with buskers,, crowds, drunks, and loud music. The place is a public park, so 90% of the people there are not gambling or staying at the hotels. It has deteriorated dramatically over the years. There are no nice shops, only tacky souvenir stores with $4 t shirts and .99 cent ash trays. You are showing a very sanitized version of Fremont Street.

I just left Las Vegas i was booked to stay for 4 Days . After just 26 hours we left . We are now in Nassau the Bahamas, Las Vegas is a Scam and RIP OFF . $50 dollars each for a Breakfast WTF ..😮. Beer $15 dollars, I’m sat here in a cafe with my Son and his wife and having Breakfast that cost $32 dollars for all of use , Last night at Marco Bar, Beer was $4.50 . Las Vegas can Kiss my arse,
Lol $50 is a lot for breakfast, even in Vegas. But oddly enough I have heard the same about Nassau recently 😂 I suppose in either case it’s about knowing where to look. 🤷♀️
@@UpUpOurWay I live in Nassau there is No one charging $50 dollars for Breakfast, All Registered restaurants have to abide by Local Government Regulations on Surcharges and menu’s prices, Thats why Costa Coffee got Banned in the Bahamas for over charging. Overpricing carries a Fine by the Local government of a Maximum $100,000 dollars and if caught more than 4 times they face a ban, .. 306,047 business owners in the past 10 years have been fined or banned for this,
@@daidavies6210 Maybe it's where you go. The complaints I hear about Nassau are from the resorts like Atlantis. Same in Vegas, if you are at a resort, it's expensive, but if you travel into the neighborhoods you find much more reasonable prices.
