I had one of those hex screws drop out of a bb end this week. The sleeve slid away and weight was incredibly unbalanced. You're right, they're dangerous.
I use a rusty Texas deadlift bar for just about everything because it is my only “full sized” barbell. The rest of my equipment is vintage YORK and Weider
I am a 4'11" female with a massive complete rotator cuff tear. I don't want surgery and need to build upper strength for BJJ. Just ordered a weight bench and rack. ANY suggestions would be appreciated
Just bands for grip. Mark mentions that a little bit off water on the bench helps you to stick better if band's aren't available. I like the rep fitness benches. I bough a replacement pad and built my own bench frame out of 4x4s and plywood. It's solid, light, and grippy as hell.
My gym has all kinds of different sizes of barbells. It's annoying and the there's no scale anywhere in the entire gym. I guess I should just assume one is 35 pounds, one is 45 and the other is 55. It's hard to know because they're not labeled.
Dumbo this is called metric system which the whole world uses. Americans will use anything from whales to football fields to freaking buses but not the metric system that the whole world uses.
I use the one in my garage, because it is the only barbell in my garage.
Hey hey hey, we got a funny guy in here!
😂😂
This bar he is talking about is the same one I have. I can confirm this is one of the greatest and greatest for price bars on the market

Agree. Not to be cliche, but a good barbell is a good place to invest.

Hi I don't have Olympic weights but I have a 7ft standard weight bar raited for 400 pounds in my home gym I have all 3 books thanks
The SS bar is really good. Took forever to get it, but worth it.
Great vid, thanks 🙏💪!
You're welcome 🍻
Csn you use a 5ft standard barbell for bench press
What, specifically, is stretched lengthwise on the flat bench? Assuming those are for traction to help facilitate proper execution of the Bench Press?
Pretty standard set of bands for extra grip on the bench
the wood benches are obvs slippery.

@@mikeoxlong91111 I think the water trick only applies to wooden benches. For most people the bands are more approachable
@@MeinNameistCarlos that's what I was referring to. Wood benches.
I want the barbell, too bad shipping to Denmark is the same price as the barbell itself. Still cheaper than an Eleiko barbell haha
American Barbell SS Power Bar. Just incredible bar. Pricey, but worth it.
i have sharp biceps pain when i bench, how do i fix that?
My commercial gym doesnt even have a scaler hahaha
Starting strength barbell on Texas Power bars doesnt have center knurling?? strange

Flat out thought this was Chris Evans/captain America talking at the start
No mention of trap bar. Unsubscribed.
How convenient...🤨 Do you have a sales department that will solicit Army MWR Gyms for purchase.
Ray: shows video of normal people lifting normal weights.
Also Ray: casually shows a 500 pound dead lift bar.
👀
That didn’t help at all
Sales pitch.
Really didn't answer the question?
This isn’t rip
Rip's the engineer, I'm the marketeer
@@xmoogoox more like market queer Raymond
I have to admit I enjoyed that one
This is America, not the Soviet Union. We use pounds, not kilograms.
Dumbo this is called metric system which the whole world uses.

yeah stupid REST OF THE FUCKING WORLD why are they using KGs?
Who is this guy? Rip he is not...
Astute observation my good [horse] man
