I ordered a watch 4 44mm and getting it tomorrow to upgrade from my 4 year old 1st gen galaxy watch and can't wait to start using it
I still have the gear S3 and love it because of the mst payment ability. The convenience of having the know that Samsung Pay works every where is beyond gratifying; Especially when the retailer insists that it won't work. I'm really trying to see why I should upgrade. Thanks for this video. UA-cam referred you and I'm thankful. You put some more meat to the bones of making a decision. Also I grew up between Franklin and Classon On Eastern parkway. Great review as always, really like the vlog style as get to see how the watch works through a day and get to see bits of Brooklyn. I'm over in Europe and have the same watch 44mm GW4 from preorder (got it 3 days before lunch on a trade in). It has Blood pressure and EKG working out of the box (as regulatory approved over here) and I have a Samsung phone. I've used the GW3, Active2 and GW1 before this. I have high BP and use a cuff machine and this watch to keep and eye on it. It measures BP much faster than the GW3 and Active2 and is more accurate, usually very close to the machine. I love smartwatches and also have the Huawei GT Pro2 (which I used for sleep tracking mostly) and a couple of Wear OS watches. This watch is like a Swiss Army knife in that it does everything and does it well. I'm seriously impressed with this watch and highly recommend it. My only gripe is the stock watch band which is terrible and warps out away from the wrist. However because of its shape, it keeps the back of the watch close to your wrist and the heart rate and all the metrics work first time regardless of how I wear the watch. I have changed the band out for normal 20mm straps but the watch doesn't do measurements well then no matter how tight the band is. I can only think Samsung made the band weird so it gets accurate and fast measurements all the time.

Great video! Really enjoy this format. I've had the GW 4 Classic for about a week and really enjoy it. I'm also coming from the Active 2, but I prefer having the rotating bezel with the Classic. So far battery life has been good and everything works well with my S20+.

He said it's because the glass face is flat unlike most smart watches today with rounded edges, it's a refreshing design

Your review made up my mind to buy the Galaxy 4 . I own galaxy 46mm , frontier, Active and gear sport , the Galaxy 4 is my favorite! I purchased 44mm LTE and love it . I have small wrists and the 44mm is perfect I did customize (cut ) and added 2 holes to the original band that works great . Thank you for this video , I love my watch and look forward to updates💞👍
Do you have a samsung phone or a non Samsung? Is that affecting the battery life? Thanks in advance.
@@Carlosramirez-he4zi I have a Samsung phone and I do turn off the mobile connection and just use Bluetooth when I don't need to have my watch be my phone. I charge whatever device I am wearing every day anyways but this model has a shorter battery life with all the bells and whistles running.

Tell me... how much time it takes to charge battery from 1% till 98%?
I have GW4 Classic BT and it takes exactly 1h:25m to full charge.
I charge it every night. I select sleep function during 12p.m till 7a.m.
The first thing i do at awaking up is to check-up the sleeping track data. I can notice that i still have 87% for all day long.
AOD, Bluetooth and wi-fi are ON until next charging that happens at round 10p.m
I measure blood pressure 4 times/day, check some messages and check the daily steps counter. I use the native watch face with black background with a pinch of colour on the 4 zones information: battery, weather, steps, calendar day.
At 9p.m. battery is at 25%.
If i listen spotify linking to the Bluetooth speakers, than battery drains faster.
I read some reviews that say that GW4 takes almost 2h to full charge and battery life is about 40 hours of normal use.
I think mine was sold with a less battery life than the average.

I love your reviews! The "travel" format is extremely entertaining! I'm loving my LTE 42mm GW4 Classic. Traded in my Active2. I also have a GW3 that I'll trade in. I can only get (maybe) 24 hrs. Granted it's LTE. I'm still experimenting though with different settings. & oh joy...I can hear what it sounds like when I snore! 🤣🤣

How long does it usually take to come to a complete charge and what is your charging method? I have used the galaxy watch 3 in the past, but have been spoiled the last 4 months with a fitbit versa 3 as far as battery life. I'm holding out to see if Pixel watch is real before I purchase the galaxy watch 4. Also do you see any use of fitness bands like Whoop being useful along side the galaxy watch 4?

I like the fact that you mentioned that you could not find a way to set the pay button to Google Pay, and had to use Samsung Pay.
I'm coming from iPhone, and have been using one for the past 2.5 yrs. I've always been an Android guy as I really like the fluidity of the OS.
On the fence now though considering pay features, cameras, and battery life being the main contenders.
I like your way to review things.
