Sir I am a football player from Bangladesh. I feel pain in the knee joint while running. I am very poor and could not afford a good doctor. please help me 🙏@@E3Rehab
Been waiting for this video. Great info here. A video specifically for chondromalacia patella would be awesome. I know you have one for runners knee already.
Thanks for this video. You've provided enough workout suggestions to keep me busy for a long time to come. In February, I suffered a fracture dislocation of my left knee. An orthopedic trauma surgeon reconstructed the plateau of my left tibia and inserted a plate and seven screws. She said that in about ten years I would begin to suffer from osteoarhritis in that joint. I can use the information in this video to help prolong that onset. I also believe that doing something as simple as staying properly hydrated can be a big benefit. Some time ago, I read a study that asserted that Americans ten d to be chronically dehydrated. Since cartilage is 80% water it is one of the go to places for water when your body becomes dehydrated. This can increase preventable wear on the cartilage.
Interesting. Are they chronically dehydrated because they don't drink enough, or because their diet contains the type of foods that require you to drink more water (not enough veg/fruit, sugary foods, ultra processed foods etc)? I find that I drink a lot less water than many of my friends, who have poor diets, but I get a lot of water from my foods and my pee isn't usually yellow! Telling them to drink more water ignores the wider problem of diet. Obviously, hydration is very person-specific, despite the "must drink X gallons of water per day" message that persisted for a while (in line with a great increase in profits for the bottled water industry!).
@@ricos1497 The article that I read, which I can't find, stated that Americans are drinking liquids like, coffee, thinking that they're hydrating themselves when it takes more water to process the coffee out of your body than it provides due to the fact that it contains caffeine, a diuretic. Alcohol is also a diuretic. There are many kinds of sodas that do the same. My doctor told me that a good amount of water to drink per day is 3 quarts. He told me that if I try to drink a galon a day, I risk throwing my electrolyte balance off.
Very usefull video, thanks. I get a sharp pain in the outer part of my knee when I do the quad set exercise to try and straighten. I can do the hold, and it seems to get better the second and third times I do it. I've not really been able to adequately stretch my right leg since injuring it 7-8 years ago. I'm hoping that these stretches and additional exercise will do the trick. I can still play sports, but it regularly is in pain. Also, I think that my gait is different to prior to the injury, I think my toes seem to point slightly outwards rather than straight in front when I walk! Not sure if this can be corrected just by concentrating while I'm walking and trying to engage the thigh muscles (which are clearly degraded compared to my left leg) more. I think this video will be a good start though!
What about having hypermobility and osteoarthrosis? Should I still go for the same exercises and focusing on not overstreching my knees? Or do something else? Thanks for a good and in-depth video.
So Running is good even if it cause pain and you feel that your biomechanics may be a factor because you feel your alignment is not correct? My experience is not that one and unable to run feeling like knee is smashing.
Obviously, this is general advice, they can’t possibly cater to all people in all situations. On the other hand, integrating some of the lower level exercises they have spoken about, and then gradually building, may lead to you being able to do more. All joints are composed and supported by more structures than just the bones and these surrounding structures - muscles, ligaments, tendons - can all be made more robust through exercise. Again, it may not work for you, but it’s worth a try before jumping to more extreme measures, like joint replacements, which also come with significant risks and will require exercise to get the best out of.

I had Monovisc® hyaluronic acid injections for osteoarthritis knee pain. It has provided over five years of relief for me. In that five years I have had two additional injections. I continue to have relief of pain in that knee, I would recommend this treatment.
hi! could you tell me more about that? like how did your doctor recommend that injection and were there any symptoms you had when you got the injection? my mom has been struggling with this type of knee pain and up until this video, i didnt know what it was! i wanna try to help her out as much as i can
I had pain when walking and getting up and down from setting. My Dr confirmed my knee was bone on bone and no other issues. The injection is simple. I had relief in a week and no side effects,

If you think it's within your remit - could I ask you to do a video on peptides please.

How about localized tear but not arthritis? I have full thickness tear in central trochlea but no OA. Same exercises?
👏👏👏
Where can I get a shirt?

try eating less bread. that simple effort might help you :)
Nothing is wrong with 100% whole wheat bread, unless one has Celiac disease.
