Ah, a beautiful Pacific racing by with a string of varnish. Reminds me of my 1940's childhood, growing up in a village a short distance west of Milwaukee a half-block from the Milwaukee Road double-track main line between Milwaukee and the Twin Cities. Sure, the streamlined _Hiawathas_ and big freight engines, with mile-long freights, roared by (a mere 60MPH?), but there were a lot of lesser passenger trains and shorter freights, pulled by Pacifics and Mikados, as well as a peddler freight that serviced the town's industrial sidings. As I matured as a model railroader, I realized that if I ever decided to stop modelling turn of the (20th) century railroading and move into a more modern era, I'd prefer a road with Pacifics and Mikes pulling the more important trains, with Consols and Ten-wheelers on point of the lesser ones, with a little 0-6-0 or two shuffling in the yards. This just firms up that belief. Thanks.

They always run these particular trips with a diesel or two. Nothing to do with PTC. It's simply too much train (17 cars) for a light Pacific like 425, especially with the steep grades on this line.
Sadly, 425 Will Go Down For A FRA 15 Year Rebuild Or A 1472 Day Inspection After Her 2 Final Runs In November of 2022 Unless The FRA Will Allow 425 To Do Excursions In Late 2023 Or 2024.
I sure did miss these trains and I'm glad to see them back again.
Excellent video
These shots are amazing! It was a pleasure getting to meet you in Leesport on Sunday!

Fantastic video! It was great seeing you out there!
Thanks. Loved your shot at Peacock's Lock Bridge!
In every shot, you can tell that the steamer is the one actually doing the work. Outstanding!!!
I’m an adopted son of my beautiful commonwealth. Love my Pennsylvania for so many reasons. This right here is a big reason.

I love to see a steam locomotive and 425 definitely is a beauty 💙💙💙
Edit: Thank you so much!!!
That's fantastic.
Just awesome 👏 full power on
Imagine 425 and 2102 doubleheading for a second time since 1987!
Starting out it sounded like he had down in the corner, working her hard!
you could tell she had a little bit of struggle in those slip ups, but she had it well moving afterwards
Like 13 beautiful video, greetings 🚂👍🙋♂️
Nice!!
How close is 2102 to being road worthy?
It was test fired earlier this year. Pretty likely that it's running in 2022.
Don't they normally run without diesels or is that due to ptc
