- It was the railroad event of the year, and I've never experienced a chase like it. Tamaqua caused a 20 minute delay due to the sheer volume of chasers, which caused me to not catch the train again until nearly Jim Thorpe. After a rough morning, I learned that 3 spots was about the best you could hope for, and my afternoon went much smoother, after the chaos that is Jim Thorpe of course. Aside from what a mess the roads and Jim Thorpe were, the Reading and Northern put on a great show and made for a fun day for thousands of people. The railroad had already sold out tickets for this excursion before it was announced that it would be a double header, so the railroad only did this for fun and because they can. Thanks to the R&N for putting this together when they did not have to. Perhaps we will see another double header in the fall, who knows?
I love this sooo much
You guys did a great job catching the second time doubleheader with 2102 and 425 yesterday, congratulations, that’s epic and incredibly awesome!
Good call on the alternating whistles on 2102...it keeps everybody happy!
This was also the day that it was Andy Muller Jr’s 75th birthday.
You can see me in a few shots!
Awesome totally awesome, I am confused little on 2102 pretty sure it can run backwards on its power but though I heard does have trouble backing up a load that’s why at the triple crossing those diesels back train and passengers or am I wrong they do that cause less wear tare on those engines. Seems clearly this video 425 backing the 2102 cause clearly 425 differently has the power back 2102 up. But I could be wrong just wondering
LOL at 34:33 a paint chip off one of the cars almost hits the camera
I just saw that happen
Paint chip jumpscare 💀💀💀
So, and as I understand it...425 has NO stoker right? I'd sure like to meet the guy who does the "honors" there !!! What "balls" he has!
You know what I've noticed, I noticed that the coaches need to be painted.
That they do.
