      Haha some animals love it to. Years ago I went to a park with my usual watercolor on the go pack. There was a peacock … he kept walking around and opening his tail and following me🦚 it was like it was asking me to sketch it. So I got my paints out and completed his portrait. It took about 30 min. When I finished he just walked off. I’ve had similar situations with cats as well. But trees like it the best I think and they don’t judge 😉❤️

    Trees are a lot of fun. I'm more of a patron of the oils but I'm definitely up for having fun with trees, regardless of the medium.

      Yes different mediums require different approaches. But trees are fun no matter what you paint with !! :)

    I have to say that the high point of pandemic sequestering and spending more time at home was watching all of your videos on file, and then anxiously waiting for the new releases. Always relaxing, informative and entertaining. A very pleasant escape from the world at large. I could watch them all day. You make it look so easy! And,..sorry, but I can't resit a little good natured ribbing of you referring to the Christmas tree as a "fur" tree as opposed to fir tree. Unless in New Zealand they are fauna and not flora! :)

    Leila, why did you darken to shade the trunk on the left side but you showed the sun coming from that side as well?

    • @LeilaAtaya
      @LeilaAtaya  2 роки тому +1

      Well done for watching so intently!! It's the shadow cast by the brunches. The light is coming from that side and a bit from the top (as it usually does outdoors) but meets thick greenery and is blocked by it, you can also see this in the darkness of the underside of the brunches.

      @@DollyRider I'm so glad you're finding it useful! A little tip to help you fee yourself up a bit before your painting sessions. Do a warm up page.. a piece of paper for mindless doodling and w/c swatching, just watch paint runt into each other and bloom in water. Things like that can really help with feeling comfortable when starting work on your actual project. :)

      Thank you 😊 yes trees can be very difficult to paint/draw and every tree has it’s own feel so requires a somewhat different approach. Also a big difference if you are working on the forest or a stand alone tree landscape ❤️

    Leila I admire your work..fell in love with your voice and your art❤..I'm a highly skilled artist myself,,naturally gifted..if I dont draw in like a year or so,the moment i pick up a pencil I'm on a different level..its like learning with my eyes and my hands just bring it out..do you know why this is happening?

    • @LeilaAtaya
      @LeilaAtaya  2 роки тому +1

      Art is partly about skill and partly about observation. So if you are not practicing hands on but still paying attention to things around you - it all leaves an impression on your brain and you learn in an almost invisible way. It really shows you have a gift. Keep practicing you will see how wonderful things can get 😊
