Shame those who use have silly ideas and use anti social language.
The platforms can even become profitable and useful sources to monitor speech so that journalist can improve their journalism. Seeing where people are heading down a rabbit hole and then provide well researched opinion pieces.
Like in the old days. Reward good journalism. Wipe the smirk off the faces of bigoted journalists and editors can send them to the political desk in rural towns to report in the free handouts until they have graduated.

10k to get approval from council to build a double garage on my own freehold property I have owned for 30 years. Took 4 months and no idea of the cost up front. Local council are a disgrace.Emotionally and mentally draining.

Absolutely, the councils are a bit inhuman too. I built an office 20mm to close to my neighbors Property (which was a firewall) and had to pull the whole thing to the ground. 30K wasted.

Should be a quick consult with immediate neighbours (if any) and a quick look at utilities, etc. impact from council, then go ahead. More human negotiation and compromise I reckon. Clear and easy to undestand, are you sure? I think there are a lot of layers to the things he says. On the surface, for the unwary, it all seems clear and easy to understand. But I think it's designed to be that way, and under close scrutiny many of the thing he says which seem like common sense will turn out to actually be quite radical.
For instance, right now we have free speech laws that allow anyone to go anywhere they want and say whatever they want, provided that they are willing to live with the consequences of what they say. Engaging in hate speech has consequences, as it should. What Seymour is proposing is not really about enabling free speech - we already have that - it's much more about removing the consequences for hate speech. He does a wonderful rhetorical job of dressing it up as being about free speech though.

The Maori and Pakeha experts for the treaty are the ones to listen to not this idiot and his select sub committee process which guarantee will be majority Pakeha voting who aren't even experts in this area with maybe one or two brainwashed Maoris.
