These assets are of really good quality, but the number of other unnecessary things that were installed with them terrified me, so I thought that such a video would probably be useful to many people:) So I'm glad it was useful to you too:)
thanks , but it would be nice to show the way how to do the vegetation on a terrain or sth like this , im really sick of plugins that say they do vegetation but they only bring bugs ,
It all depends on what plugins you have used so far?:) They are definitely useful for large maps, but I still think that the main elements should be disassembled by a human and the plugin is only supposed to support him:)
Unfortunately, I can't do this, just because an asset is free doesn't mean it doesn't have a license. But with the help of a tutorial, you really only spend a little time once and then you can use the package prepared in this way many times:)
When I first installed it, I was also surprised how many things it had. Fortunately, there are not as many problems with the trees as with the plants and grass in this package :)
Hello Seta. :) I've tried so much to avoid HDRP, but here I am again. 😅 So if I'm selling assets and need environment decoration, but the EULA thing doesn't allow it... Is it possible to use this only for the pictures and videos with the clear information that the terrain and environment is NOT included and its only purpose is to give my ruins, temples, ..., a good environment, - and x, y and z IS included. So it wouldn't be in my package and there is no reselling. Is this allowed?
Hi:) HDRP is addictive:) I think it could be passed if you indicate in the video and screenshots that the scene is used only for preview purposes and is not included in the asset you are selling:)
Move the grass you want to use on the scene, then in the hierarchy window, right-click on it, select Prefab > Unpack, click on the triangle next to the prefab, select the LOD you are interested, then move it up. In the Inspector set positions 0, 0, 0, then grab it and move it to the project window, if a notification window appears, select Original and that's it. Now you can use the model as a detail:) In the slow design video "Viewpoint" at 2:12:14 I do this with a tree, but it's the same with grass :)
Bro I wished you went slow on changing the prefabs cuz u went so fast i was so lost cuz I didn't know what file I was meant to change or where where Root file even came from I'm watching in 0.25 speed to see what you had changed😭 but all good tho and thanks for the video.
It's good that UA-cam has the option to slow down videos:) I don't want to make long tutorials, and in this case, to show everything at a normal speed, video would have to last about 40 minutes, but the important thing is that you managed to do it anyway:)
Thanks for the Tut Seta, I don't know why I'm getting a weird shading error on some models, a mix of the pink color (the pink of the material error) and the texture of the object, upgrading the textures did not fix it.🤷♂
Sometimes Unity may have trouble loading a good diffusion profile. Go to the material and attach the foliage diffusion profile, because it probably didn't load properly :)
@@hawk8566Hi.. I didn't, I decided to learn how to make my own vegetations with SpeedTree, there are good videos about it here on UA-cam, they have a free educational online versión so you can learn how to use the program.
@@hawk8566 Actually I was looking at the project file of this tutorial, and as seta said you just have to manually load the diffusion profile on the materials that appear pink.😅
Hey seta can you do tutorial on making terrain like in games like "don't scream" Like the terrain is suitable for a game not too realistic or it will be unplayable
From what I see, the terrain there is quite realistic (I haven't played it and I only saw it) and the main effect is achieved mainly by post-processing which simulates the VHS effect. But there will probably be a tutorial about the terrain and how to build it based on the assumptions in the future:)
hey seta , why tree models are correct at one side , but at back face they are red somehow , i dont know whats going on im following alog , but all bushesh and trees backfaces are red! a texture is applied but it seems its only the red channel on backfaces
Hi!, i have followed all the video and, after adding the missing textures inside the prefabs, they are looking great, but when i put the prefabs into the scene, there are like some textures missing in all trees and plants. You know how i could fix that? Thanks!
Check if you have a wind script added to the scene because the shader requires it to work, if that doesn't help, it's best to send me the screen by e-mail (e-mail in the channel description) what it looks like, then maybe I will be able to help:)
The video is accelerated only in moments when you need to repeat the steps I mentioned earlier. If I were to show the same activities on each model, the video would last about 40 minutes:)
I've been playing with it a bit and so far it works quite well, even though it's only a test version of this function, from a scene with 17k batches it goes down to 1.5k in just one click, so it's really good:) Unfortunately, to check it further I would have to create a decent scene, and unfortunately many assets do not yet support HDRP 17:/
This pack is from Unity the fact you need to do this to make the prefabs USABLE is the reason why UNITY IS A FUCKING JOKE.....as soon as i finish my game im going to Unreal and NEVER LOOKING BACK AT THESE SCAMMERS FROM UNITY
The package that Unity made in this case is probably supposed to show various things that can be used and thus learn how they work:) That's why the package is overloaded with unnecessary things if we only care about the models, and unfortunately you have to fiddle a bit to make them work without any problems:) For me it doesn't matter whether someone creates something in Unity or Unreal, as long as it brings satisfaction:) So good luck on your new Unreal path:)
where did you put the DetailMap Folder, you never showed it, yet it moved. i watch 15 times now on 0.25 speed, why make this tut if your going to rush through crap
The DetailMap folder, like any folder with textures, can be moved wherever you want, to "Models" or "Others". At 13:34 you can see that I placed it in the Models folder in Cliffs folder.
Oh someone made a video about this. Thanks bro!

Are these assets eligible for commercial use? or just educational use? Great video btw
Thx:) As long as you do not sell models from this pack separately, you can use them commercial:) Or at least that's what the EULA says:)
Could you share the final package? I assume there's no IP infringement if it's a free asset pack?
