- Опубліковано 19 лют 2024
- Six Flags is the largest regional theme park chain in the world. The company currently has 15 different theme parks with 165 roller coasters. In this video, I rank the chain's top 25 roller coasters as of the end of the 2023 season.

In april im finally visitng my first six flags park, that being over georgia. Stoked for goliath and twisted cyclone!
No airie moment
@@Loggodover >:(
Don’t forget about Georgia Scorcher, such a great ride as well
Enjoy! And hopefully you can get to Fun Spot while there as well.
@@CanobieCoaster it's a school trip so unfortunately he can't (me and him share a group chat where he said this)
I've been on 14 of these! Thanks for the vids, awesome as always 🎢
Glad you like them!
My Top 5
1 Wicked Cyclone
2 El Toro
3 Superman The Ride
4 Twisted Colossus
5 Iron Rattler
A rare Superman The Ride appreciator!
Nice list!
Iron Rattler is also my favorite Six Flags coaster so far (having only visited the California and Texas parks)! Loved seeing Shockwave on the list, it's easily my second favorite at Over Texas.
Shock Wave is an underrated one.
15:20 I watched the theme park avenue video that you gave your story on this ride, that was one of the best in that video
That skunk is my hero.
Good ranking! I nearly forgot about Goliath at La Ronde, but it does look like a great ride for floater airtime.
It's super fun
It has so much floater airtime.
Only been to 2 so far, but I’m planning on visiting every six flags park before I die
Best of luck!
I have a couple questions. When do you plan to start making the top 100 overall coasters list that is parts 1 and 2? I am so excited to see it. I’m curious to know exactly what spot ArieForceOne ranks at and I’m curious to know if you overall prefer ArieForceOne to Iron Gwazi? Also where does Wildcats Revenge rank in your Top 100 coasters? Also I would love to see you upload some airtime thrills type content 2-3 times a week. I would like to see you make videos like Top 50 strongest airtime moments you’ve experienced, Top 50 most intense rollercoasters in the world, top 50 favorite airtime moments, and ranking every coaster at a park by element.
I plan to have my top 100 out next month. I want to get some park chain lists out leading up to that. Those two new RMCs will both place highly.
El toro at 15 I would say is a hot take, a lot of people say its number one
He’s never rated it highly. For me it’s a no brainer number one, but everyone’s different.
I know I have it lower than most.
Naturally, everyone will have different opinions with these kind of rankings, but I couldn't help but cheer when I realized what # 1 was going to be. I do have X2 as my 2nd favorite, as those may be the 2 coasters from anywhere that have had the biggest impact on me. Superman & Wicked Cyclone follow on my Six Flags list, then Twisted Colossus.
My top ranked B&M hyper at Six Flags parks is Nitro at # 19, but I swear I do like B&M hypers, just not seemingly as much as others do.
You seem to have similar ones as me towards the top.
Six Flags Great America is the Golden Corral Buffet of the Six Flags Universe. You get a great sample of everything and it's very tasty and satisfying, but nothing really stands out that will make you specifically make a trip to come here specifically to try just one dish.
It's not a bad thing, it's got many great coaster models and it showcases some of the best elements each one has to offer.
The park has some great coasters at the top, depth, and no real weaknesses.
@CanobieCoaster just like golden corral (although the fried chicken was raw)
I’m going to great adventure for a field trip in may so excited for nitro,el toro and Batman
Enjoy!
I feel like El Toro and X2 are my favorites! But I cannot wait to finally ride Iron Rattler in a few weeks
Enjoy!
I just went to Magic Mountain last year and my top 3 all made this list
3 X2 I was on an outside seat so it was a little rough towards the end but other than that it was fine
2 Tatsu This is my favorite B and M flying coaster because of the pretzel loop being the most intense inversion I have ever experienced
1 Twisted Colossus My number 10 coaster has some insane ejector airtime on every hill including both inversions on each track
Twisted Colossus is underrated by enthusiasts in my opinion.
Iron Rattler is currently my No.1 fav coaster so I'm glad to see it being No.1 on this list! I still have yet to go to SFMM so idk if X2 and Twisted Colossus would change my mind in the future if I ever get to finally go there. Lol
Definitely worth getting to Magic Mountain.
You should totally go to Lagoon this year to try out Primordial!
I would like to, but not sure if I will.
I've never been on El Toro, but I'm surprised that it was pretty low on your list considering the hype around the ride. I was also surprised how high the Joker placed. I rode it 4 times in a row and thought it was fun, but not thrilling, I actually found Medusa to be more thrilling and I'm not a big fan of loopers. It may have been the 6 hour drive it took for me to get to Vallejo from LA that flipped my brain upside down lol. Anyway, great video as usual! If universities offered classes on theme parks/roller coasters I think you, with your voice and knowledge, would be best suited to teach the course. You could probably talk your way out of any traffic tickets/citations with the you speak lol.
El Toro is quite overrated in the coaster community. It's still good, and I do have it higher on my list than this one, but it definitely has its weaknesses.
I definitely get why many have El Toro higher, but I prefer rides that are more consistently great start to finish.
If that's the case, you have NTG way too high. @CanobieCoaster
I've visited four Six Flags parks, being Magic Mountain, Over Georgia, Over Texas, and Discovery Kingdom. My top 10 would be:
10. Titan (Magic Mountain's Goliath would be #11.)
9. New Texas Giant
8. Wonder Woman: Flight of Courage
7. The Joker (Discovery Kingdom)
6. Twisted Cyclone
5. Goliath (Over Georgia)
4. Mr. Freeze Reverse Blast (Over Texas)
3. Tatsu
2. X2
1. Twisted Colossus
Titan Is my 43rd favorite six flags coaster overall lol (granted I have been to every six flags park except mexico)
Nice list!
I’m from the UK and have only ever been to one Six Flags park in my life. Luckily for me it was Fiesta Texas, last September. My first ride was Iron Rattler, it was a walk-on and I got on the back row.
It’s the only RMC I’ve ever ridden (though I will be visiting Walibi Holland in April) but it’s the best coaster I have ever been on - including The Ride to Happiness (which I went on in late December).
Sadly Wonder Woman wasn’t operating the day I visited. I did Batman, which was pleasantly disorienting and short. I didn’t like Superman Krypton Coaster at all, beyond the first drop and loop … it’s the rattliest B&M I’ve been on. And Dr Diabolical … it’s my third B&M dive coaster and also the worst. Beyond vertical drops are a gimmick. And what’s the point of a dive coaster if you can see where you’re going? I prefer Baron 1898 for the excellent theming and Oblivion for the sheer amount of drop that is underground (even if it’s a one trick pony).
Untamed is even better than Iron Rattler.
Five weeks to go 😊
X2 has to be my favorite in the chain, but superman, El Toro, and Twisted Collossus are all amazing too, sadly I haven't done Iron Rattler
All great rides!
Great vid. I wish The Boss was still in its prime. That coaster was so good. Definitely would of been on this list i believe
I enjoy the Boss, but it isn't better than these 25 rides at the moment.
@@CanobieCoaster yea boss is bad now compared to how it ran in year one. Omg was so good . Almost a top 10 for me back than I would say now it's down in my low 80s
X2 definitely has some flaws, but the things it does well don’t exist anywhere else in America. I was blown away. Only had two rides on it so maybe with additional rides the negatives become more in focus?
With more rides, you learn how to manage the ride better, and the negatives are no longer negatives at all.
My initial ride still shocked me since it was unlike any other coaster I had ridden.
I love these park chainwide rankings! I've currently been to all Six Flags parks, except Frontier City (visiting next month) although I can't see any of them making my top 25. My list:
1. X2
2. El Toro
3. Wicked Cyclone
4. Iron Rattler
5. Joker (SFDK)
6. Twisted Colossus
7. Wonder Woman Golden Lasso Coaster
8. New Texas Giant
9. Kingda Ka
10. Medusa Steel Coaster
11. Goliath (Great America)
12. Twisted Cyclone
13. Superman el Último Escape
14. Goliath (SFOG)
15. Mr. Freeze Reverse Blast (SFSL)
16. Mr. Freeze (SFOT)
17. Maxx Force
18. Superman: The Ride
19. Wonder Woman Flight of Courage
20. Jersey Devil Coaster
21. Tatsu
22. Nitro
23. West Coast Racers
24. Raging Bull
25. Goliath (La Ronde)
I realize most of the RMCs are frontloaded for me lol. Those are just my type of rides. I really enjoy Superman: The Ride but I feel I haven't gotten it at its best in 2021 and 2022.
Superman definitely runs its fastest on hot sunmer days or if there's an abnormally warm day in the fall.
For me X2, Tatsu, Goliath (Georgia), and Iron Rattler are the best coasters in the chain I've ridden but I haven't been able to visit a lot of the parks.
All awesome rides.
So what would you rate El Toro at Six Flags Great Adventure?
9
Wonderful list! It’s great to see Joker, both Goliaths, and both Superman’s getting some love.
Haven’t been on Superman the Ride or Iron Rattler yet but out of the six flags rides I’ve ridden I’d rank them as:
1) Twisted Colossus
2) El Toro
3) X2
4) New Texas Giant
5) Goliath (SFOG)
6) Raging Bull
7) Nitro
8) Mr Freeze
9) Goliath (SFGA)
10) Kingda Ka
La Ronde's Goliath and Joker get way too much hate.
@@CanobieCoasterNever understood why… they are both on my North America bucket list
Here's my top 25 coasters from Six Flags parks currently (I've been to SFSL, SFOT, SFGAm, and FC but am planning on visiting SFA and SFGAd this summer).
1. Raging Bull
2. New Texas Giant
3. Maxx Force
4. Screamin' Eagle
5. Titan
6. Shockwave
7. The Boss
8. Goliath SFGAm
9. Mr. Freeze SFSL
10. Silver Bullet
11. Mr Freeze SFOT
12. X-Flight
13. Batman SFSL
14. Batman SFGAm
15. Batman SFOT
16. Whizzer
17. Ninja SFSL
18. Viper
19. Diamond Back
20. American Eagle
21. River King Mine Train
22. American Thunder
23. Runaway Mine Train
24. La Vibora
25. Demon SFGAm
Nice list!
As always El toro is TOO LOW lol 😂 but of course I do respect your opinion and get that it can be rough at points as well as let its foot of the gas a bit. Otherwise tho I really enjoyed listening to your list and loved seeing some other SFGA coasters make it on there ❤
I totally get why many have El Toro higher.
My favorite six flags coasters are eejanaika and saw the ride
Fun rides, but not in the chain.
on g good vid
personally would put wicked cyclone higher
Thanks
Was expecting superman at #2 but im here for it, its solidly in my top 10
I love it.
When I rode Jersey devil i got lucky and was assigned in the back and got insane ejector airtime, it was also my first single rail coaster
Edit: honestly I say the best Morgan coaster is most certainly phantoms revenge without a doubt, you get insane ejector on that thing
Phantoms Revenge is great. I just wish Kennywood could get some better ops. Every time we go there, the wait times are nuts, and the last time I was there, it was on one train ops😢.
I agree Phantom's Revenge is the best Morgan coaster. That's why I said Superman is Morgan's best ground up coaster.
@@Spike-sk7qlphantoms ops I’ve always found to be really good but you right everything else takes forever especially steel curtain (if it’s ever open)
@@noahkessler5500 Steel Curtain, OPEN?????🤣🤣🤣🤣 It took me longer to ride that than it did to ride the original Dragster. I will give them the benefit of the doubt. They were still waiting on the 2nd train, or that had a problem with the 2nd train, I forget, but they were stuck with one train. I timed a couple dispatches though, and they were getting upwards of 4-6 mins.
@@Spike-sk7ql one time I went and they had 1 train line was three hours they had two and it was about an hour all with 5 minute+ dispatches. You know its bad when the phantom crew was telling everyone on the speaker how bad it is over at steel curtain lmao
Whoa el Toro at #15 is crazy.
I know I have it lower than many.
So what are your top 25 Cedar Fair's roller coasters?
I'll have that video out soon.
@@CanobieCoaster I would release it later this year, especially to ride and experience the Top Thrill 2 and Iron Menace afterward.
Raging Bull is one of the best; only it's last 3 turns are "twister" and it contains an ejector drop of it's own before the final left hand turn. Nitro is the longest drop to break run of any B&M and the longest by track length except Leviathan and Fury 325. Kingda Ka is my 30th favourite coaster out of slightly over 160; Goliath at SFGA is about my 25th favourite; and my 2nd favourite in the park; Maxx Force is my 4th favourite coaster at the same park; Jersey Devil is great but not as good as Nitro; El Toro is the best ride at SFGA NJ if not in the entire chain. It may be rough but its forces were otherwise damn near perfect and is my favourite wooden Six Flags coaster, but I prefer Raging Bull. After that comes Nitro, which beat my next two: X2 and Twisted Colossus.
My biggest issue with El Toro isn't the roughness. It's the uneven pacing. But I get why many have it higher.
They should rebrand magic mountain to magic Mike mountain XXL. Name each coaster after the strippers. And the tallest coaster gets painted black and is named DENZELLE
That sounds like something that should be done in RCT2.
That title reminds me of one of those fake GP coaster videos like "Top Ten Scariest Coasters At Six Flags*
Lol
My list
1 X2
2 El Toro
3 Superman the Ride
4 Tatsu
5 Goliath at Over Georgia
6 Iron Rattler
7 Kingda Ka
8 Superman Krypton Coaster
9 Twisted Collosus
10 Wicked Cyclone
11 New Texas Giant
12 Batman the Ride at Over Georgia
13 Mr Freeze Reverse Blast
14 Nitro
15 Titan
16 Jersey Devil
17 Twisted Cyclone
18 Medusa at Great Adventure
19 Riddler's Revenge at Magic Mountain
20 Batman the Ride clones at other parks
Nice list!
Make a video ranking cedar fair parks and six flags parks together
I may make a top parks list, which would have representation of both.
Toro at 15 is definitely an L in my book, but mostly a good list
Thanks! I know I have it lower than most.
All of them look fun. I'd ride them all except Kingda Ka, way too high.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I like them all.
You have a problem... Six flags & cedar fairs merged. The current iteration six flags company owns cedar point so it's hard to justify leaving Steel Vengeance off the list.
I have separate lists for Cedar Fair and Six Flags for the 2023 season. Once the merger is complete, the list would include rides at both chains in the future.
What about steel vengeance?
I'll have a separate list for Cedar Fair parks.
Haven't been to SF Mexico, LaRonde, or Darien Lake but here is my ranking of Six Flags Coasters
1. El Toro
2. Iron Rattler
3. X2
4. Twisted Colossus
5. Wonder Woman (SFFT)
6. Goliath (SFOG)
7. Goliath (SF GrAm)
8. Twisted Cyclone
9. Wicked Cyclone- 3rd lap dies when I visited which is why I like Twisted Cyclone better
10. Kingda Ka
11. Wonder Women (SFMM)
12. Joker (SFDK)- Great first drop and great inversion but pacing dies at the end
13. Jersey Devil
14. Superman (SFNE)- Didn't care for the restraints.
15. Tatsu
16. New Texas Giant
17. Nitro
18. Maxx Force
19. Superman Ride of Steel (SFAm)
20. Shock Wave
21. Apocalypse
22. Raging Bull
23. Full Throttle
24. Mr Freeze (SFSL & SFOT)
25. Dr. Diabolical
Lot of similar coasters on our list just moved around a bit. I suspect that the 3 at SF Mexico and LaRonde would all be in my Top 12-15 .
I prefer Wicked Cyclone's length, but I get preferred Twisted since it's tighter paced.
Mr.freeze over Jersey devil any day
I can see that.
Nitro is one of my favorites as is Wicked cyclone
I've ridden them a bunch.
You said old six flags Parks but where are kordaa and untamed
I am not including former Six Flags parks on this list. Those rides will show up in an eventual Compagnie des Alpes ranking list.
Raging Bull is WAY too low
Like that ride in the back, but I prefer those ahead of it.
You fault Goliath for being too short, and not Iron Rattler?
Iron Rattler feels like it has more elements.
@CanobieCoaster Iron Rattler has one of the best first drops in the country. After that, it has a well placed inversion, a crawl around the top of the quarry, and the a great dive off the quarry. So two great moments and one good one.
I wasn't that impressed with Iron Rattler. Maybe I got a slow ride as I rode it earlier in the day. I wanted to ride it again but my special needs son didn't want to mess with it as you have to go all the way up the cramped exit ramp then come back after the "wait" and do it again. By far the worst Six Flags I've ever been to with the way they do their ADA system. Over Texas had a much better system!
Iron Rattler definitely has some tight ramps that are annoying to navigate.
What were the worst coasters you've ever experienced in the Six Flags chain?
1:
2:
3:
4:
5:

7:
8:
9:
10:
The worst rides in the chain are their rough SLCs.
I think your videos have melatonin built in cause they aways make me sleepy
Feel free to use them as a sleeping aid haha.
Dislike becuase El Toro below Twisted Colossus. I am absolutely biased towards SFMM as its my home park but while TC is a great coaster it doesn't come close to El Toro!
I prefer Twisted Colosuss for the length and quantity of ejector airtime moments.
I haven't been to SFMM since 1993. X2 looks HARD CORE. That nearly vertical drop. 🎢
It's epic.
In this video, Goliath at Six Flags Over Georgia looked like it was placed higher compared to your video of top 100 roller coasters in the world in 2022, where it was placed in number 52 and your video of top 50 roller coasters from Bolliger & Mabillard, where it was placed in number 9. So if I ask you, why?
I got great rides in 2023.
In your video of top 100 roller coasters in the world in 2022, both Goliath at La Ronde and Goliath at Six Flags Over Georgia were placed close to each other. But in this video of top 25 roller coasters at Six Flags (2023), Goliath at Six Flags Over Georgia looked like it was placed higher.
Yes, I got better rides recently.
