Are you kidding? I was 10 when I went and when I went on la vibora, I smashed my butt into the seat and crashed my arms into the rail constantly. I got off with 5 bruises on my elbow, my outer hand, and my back
I'll be there tomorrow for the first time ever! I'm soooo excited for new rides and really love watching these videos! It really gets me jazzed up and ready!
For me, Titan is my favorite ride in the park. Those helices are so insanely intense, and the pure sustained floater on the airtime hill before the first helix is, imo, the best single airtime moment in the whole park.
@@zachsteiner cedar fairs in charge now and i think sfot will be getting something good next year. My prediction. I work at hurricane harbor across the street and theres so many updates coming. Even small details that six flags neglected
This is my home park and I agree with all your takes except for the runaway mine train having one of the best drops in the park lol. I also like Mr. Freeze the best, but that's just my own preference. Overall, I agree its a very underrated park
I love this park so much , and actually unpopular opinion ( i prefer this coaster lineup more then great adventure) i love everything about this park tbh yes it’s missing something but it’s extremely underrated
Grew up having one of our moms dropping us off here in the early 80s on. Cliff hanger is missed. Spiindletop that dropped the floor out. Spinacer and the conqistador were all by each other.
Schock wave , run away mountain, judge Roy and titan are my favorite to ride at the park because they hardly ever have long lines. Me and my girl once rode run away mountain 10 times just us 2. Back and forth. Once rode titan 6 times back to back, when aqua man opened we rode it 5 times, pro tip front seat you get SOAKED. The only coaster hard to ride multiple times is texas giant. The best at the park. Only been able to ride it 3 times back to back, at night which was so awesome. Also Mr freeze that ride is always packed for good reason.
My first time on runaway mountain, my 9 year old said "don't worry, there's not a drop coming up". I knew that meant there was a nice drop coming up ,great ride.
I would argue many, many people ride RMC’s specifically for the inversions. Maybe not enthusiasts, but the common park goer is typically mind-blown by the very concept. “That wooden coaster goes upside down!!!!”
This is my home park. I always grey out on the Titan double helix as well as Shockwave's double loops. Shockwave pulls like 6 G's or something insane like that. It's literally the same or higher forces than what fighter pilots feel!
I feel like enthusiasts don’t like titan and Goliath just because they don’t have much airtime. Hyper Coasters don’t need to focus on airtime and it’s cool and unique that Titian and Goliath focus on positive G’s instead
Very good analysis of the roller coasters. I agree with your assessment of NTG. The coaster seems to capture the feel of a classic woodie. It is very underrated, with the other RMCs with inversions. It's still a very solid coaster. SFOT needs one more modern, standout coaster.
My favorite roller coaster there is Texas Giant, followed by Titan, Mr. Freeze: Reverse Blast, Shockwave, Batman: The Ride, Judge Roy Scream, and Runaway Mine Train. I should get bak there aoon because it's been almost eight years since my last visit.
I just went this past weekend and it's been 27 years since I've been on a roller coaster so when I enter the park I'm thinking try something lightweight to the mojo flowing so I get on el diablo. It's a cool fun ride and my youth starts to come back to me. The ride ends and I leave the exit of the ride thinking hell yeah , this is gonna be a great day!!! The next ride I go to is Texas giant and holy shit !!! I was not prepared for that ride yet !!!! When I got off of it I was " SHOOK " it was very intense for me!! I left the park and sat in my car to drink a beer to calm down. Like I said, it's been a long time. It's a great coaster but just be prepared for it. This is a wonderful park and I eventually got my mojo back for riding roller coasters so I do plan on returning soon!!!
This is my home park rn and after six flags great america being my home park for 8 years, i still feel like this park has a very underrated coaster lineup, im going on the 8th of july!
As my home park I have a love/hate relationship with this park. This park unfortunately doesn’t have a standout coaster and only 4 coasters that are not copies or copy adjacent, and it has a terrible layout. All other coasters either are too short, have bad pacing, or are half of a great ride. However, I do think this park has nothing but potential but they would need to gut it. Especially the center of the park
Here is my ranking, with my top 3 being a significant step above the rest: 1. New Texas Giant 2. Mr. Freeze 3. Shockwave 4. Judge Roy Scream (classic woodie bias) 5. Runaway Mountain (would be the 4th Top Tier ride if it didn't have such a jarring brake and if it were pitch black in there)- 6. Joker 7. Titan (too intense to be higher) 8. Pandemonium 9. Runaway Mine Train (a bit too rough) 10. La Vibora (too painful) 11. Aquaman (a little bland) 12. Batman The Ride (the headbang kills me and too intense). The runaway mountain is mirror layout to the S.D.C Hurricanes like the one found in El Paso. The Western Playland Hurricane POV appears to indicate a gentler final stop, so it is a bucket list coaster for me. I actually enjoy the traditional forward launch on Mr Freeze as much as the backward launch. I actually find the simplicity of Judge Roy's out and back to be somewhat unique any more and is nearly the same layout as my favorite ever coaster, the Elitch Gardens Wildcat, but it lacks the forces of that ride. Most out and backs have a twist here or there such as a turnaround at the beginning instead of right in the middle of the ride or some kind of helix. Judge Roy is one of the few I've seen to match Wildcat's layout so closely. So it has a higher sentimental rating than it objectively would earn. I've found I can brace to avoid pain on the brakes on Shockwave and Titan. I don't find Shockwave's airtime painful, and I recommend the back row as the most forceful. The midcourse trim brakes on Shockwave have been reduced this year, making the ride even better than it was recently. But I just can't put it above Mr Freeze.
My top 3 are 1. Mr Freeze 2. Texas Giant 3. Titan Mr Freeze is better in reverse for the spike alone. New Texas Giant is such a terrible name so I just call it Texas Giant. It’s half of a good ride as the first half is great especially that 3rd hill in the last row. The 2nd half though is so forceless with little to no airtime that I don’t get the hype with RMC Titan is Titan

Sure thing! It was very fun to revisit and rank this park.

I completely agree! That air time hill on Titan is worth a trip to DFW!
That saloon drop jumpscare hit me SO HARD that first time, and i proceeded to dread it since
That drop in the back is CRAZY
Your gonna have to come back once we get our gigga 😉 🙏
I would argue SFOT needs it more than any six flags park
Never going to happen 😢
we are NOT going to get a giga if we dont even have enough money for shows
SFOT deserves it the most. Without that park six flags wouldn’t exist

The ride was still testing, that guy is an employee.
This is great info thanks one thing, the new Texas Giant doesn't go upside down it appears? Come on RMC :)
It does not, but it was their very first project so I give them a pass.

Pretty much, it’s in Arlington to be precise.
