If you need to update the firmware on this lens, note that it CANNOT be achieved if you have some of the more modern Sony cameras. Sony has not updated the software for quite some time, so for example ZV-E10, FX3, FX6, FX9, FX30 etc owners will be stuck with whatever level of lens firmware they currently have.
It depends on your working environment. Is it in a dark or outdoor bright condition? Another thing is, if this is your main purpose, I suppose you don't need a zoom lens? Because painting is in a controlled environment.
Thanks for your kind comment and congrats on your new camera! Just one reminder, this Sony 18-105 is APSC lens, if you put it on A7IV, you're only using part of the sensor.
@@leon__feinstein When you put an apsc lens on a full frame camera, there will be black vignetting on the edges, unless you turn on apsc mode, but this way you are not getting the best out of your full frame camera.
@@ConstantineSPhotography Thank you for your response! What lense do you reccomend for the A7 LV? With similar range in zoom and wide-length capability?
Can you do the Tamron 18-300mm VC? I would like to use that lens for Sony ZVE10. It has stabilization in the lens too so we could use standard stabilization option on the camera
Hi, I currently don't have this lens, but it's a lens that I've been considering and would like to buy. I'll definitely make a video about Sony ZVE10 + Tamron 18-300mm after I get it, so please subscribe if you want to find out more!
New subscriber. Thank you for this video. I have an a6000 w/ the kit lens and the Sigma 16mm. I think adding this would really fill out my kit. I was at my son's recital tonite and really needed this lens to zoom.
Thanks for the video! I actually have this lens too! For the stabilisation, I saw a crop in your video. Are you using the the standard stabilisation or active stabilisation mode?
Hi, Sony ZVE 10 and Sony 18-150 mm F4 is a very good combination for beginners. I would recommend buying a second-hand one if possible, since it's a very old lens, it wouldn't be difficult to find a good bargain. Another great option is Sigma 18-50 f2.8, with shorter focal length but larger bokeh. So between these 2 lenses, it depends on which is more important to you,
I checked Sony official website. (support.d-imaging.sony.co.jp/www/cscs/lens_body/index.php?mdl=ILCE-6000&area=gb&lang=en) It says "The [Lens Comp.: Distortion] setting will be set to "Auto"." So I guess your JPEG files will be compensated automatically, and you'll be able to see the uncompensated photos in RAW.
@@ConstantineSPhotography Indeed, in the list of compatible lenses, the information regarding the 18-105 f4 is as follows: The [Comp. Lens: Distortion] will be set to "Auto".- Of course, I have given you a subscription. Thanks a lot. 😎 I invite you to subscribe to my channel.
Fair assessment of this lens. Its weight is definitely a negative factor. But it excels at video, and the zoom combined with its stabilization make it remarkably adaptable. If curious, here’s a brief video I shot with it when my wife and I encountered a street magician in Seoul: ua-cam.com/video/8M9AxkoDbxU/v-deo.html

Hello. I just need to know - is the motorized zoom controlled from the body of the ZV-e10 by a lever around the shutter button? Thanks in advance.
That is correct. Push it forward or backward to zoom or zoom in.
Please help how to ON/OFF stabilization

Could it powerzoom with buttons on camera body ?
Yes you can use the lever on the right hand side to control powerzoom.

Hi I am planning UA-cam home vlogs it will be in low-light condition. I am bit confused which lens to buy sigma16 or Sony 18-105
Hi! If most of your use is in low light condition, f1.4 is no doubt better than f4.
@@ConstantineSPhotography okay 👍
I would just pair this with at least one prime lense with a middle range fixed focal length.
I agree with you, 18105 plus a large-aperture prime lens will be enough for most situations.
Hi sir pls reply for me
Which lens is best for photography and videography
18-105 f4 sony
Or
Tamron 18-300 f 3.5-6.3
Both are great lenses, but I believe 18-105 f4 sony will be more suitable for video (constant f4, power zoom, stabilization).
