You know an album is fantastic when you cannot pick a favourite song because they are all absolutely brilliant.
They're all so good
Masterpiece album, Master Band!
It’s a perfect song. The lyrics are poetic, succinct, heartbreaking and funny. The drums are incredible. The guitar at the end. It has everything I love about the national in one song. It’s crazy after being a fan for a decade I can suddenly declare a new favourite song by the band after it was released only a day earlier. But man, this is really a special gem.
You did a really golden job describing this song. I most definitely agree. I think, how can they keep that poignant momentum going and then we're gifted this song. Cheers.

It's a beautiful day to be in The National Family.
What makes so magical, sentimental and perfect this song, is Bryan's drumming. I love electronic beats, is one of my favorites recent elements of their songwriting, but nothing compares to Bryan, he's still a machine and gets all the highlights in every The National song.
Just when you think they couldn't get any better. This band is my everyday everything. Saw them two days ago, one of the best concerts I've seen.

I've listened to every National song, even the B-sides, and I believe this is their first ear worm. It's not bad that they've never had one before, just interesting that they now have one.

I'm a big national fan but this is probably my least favorite album. The lyrics are sometimes lazy and lack meaning, the production is weak and the drums are simply not present.
Yaaaawn. This band used to be interesting. Victims of their success.
