- ISO tank containers are a well-proven, versatile and safe method of
transporting bulk liquids. Their cylindrical shape and stainless steel tank
barrel make ISO tank containers suitable for storing and transporting
hazardous and non-hazardous bulk items such as alcohol, cooking oils,
diesel, and chemicals.
ISO tank containers can be moved by container ships, rail lines, and trucks.
The intermodal design means the liquid they are carrying does not have to
be transferred at different stages of the logistic chain as it would with road
tankers, tanker vessels or rail cars.

The tank container chassis was specifically designed to hold ISO tank
containers containing both hazardous and non-hazardous bulk liquids. Due
to their shifting contents, tanks are at greater risk for turn-over accidents.
The drop-frame of the tank chassis has a lower center of gravity to
compensate for this tendency. 20ft ISO tank container chassis are generally
used in ports, shipyards, routes, and transfer stations for transporting 20ft
ISO tank containers.

Man was hoping for the 40' domestic tanker like Schneider and others use. Plus a modern plastic pellet covered hopper like the Trinity 6241 capacity car.
With this being a new model, it is only a matter of time before we offer the the roads you are looking for.
@@AthearnModelTrains We need more modern cars. Typical manifest freight trains in my area are mostly Various tankers, various plastic pellet hoppers, three bays, T-boxes and your steel loads in open and covered coil cars, gondolas with coils or drilling pipe, bulkheads and flats with sheet steel.
