    The beauty of owning a vehicle is you can do whatever you want with it. Different look, I respect that. Better than having huge lift kits and mud tires and never going off road. Like I said, its whatever people want to do with their trucks, land of the free baby!

    I like that there is a kit that will lower my truck, being 4wd, cuz getting up in age makes it hard to get up into the truck. Did anyone notice the drivers side a-pillar had no grab handle when you bought the truck? Or maybe did notice and didn’t mind, but wish you had one now? Lowering would make getting in and out easier, and loading cargo better. Easier for the short wife, too. I like that you keep the slight rake front to back, for heavy loads won’t squat the back. This is a nice kit. Little expensive for what it is. I’d buy it in a heartbeat, but not at that price.

      For whatever reason they didn't bring that back until '15. Weird.

      @@xforce687 Bet you it has something to do with crash testing. The BMW M2 has crooked driver seat from the factory, as do most BMW, but very noticeable on the M2. It's offset towards the passenger side to improve crash ratings. So you're not even sitting centered, you're angled. Lamborghini does it too, but that's probably due to their wedge shape all around. What ever points they can get from the crash test, they'll do it. Helps lower insurance cost for buyers and help prevent lawsuits from a poor or faulty design.

    What's great about America is that everybody can do whatever the f... they want ( even if is illegal as long as they don't get caught), also what's great is that people can say whatever the f... they want to say (just making sure they won't get their butt kicked) And even better is that everybody can give a flying f... about what somebody else's says... just like that!!!! LMAO

    I don’t like reusing the factory spring. Put the spring in a bind when hitting big bumps.

    What if you just installed the 3 inch drop shackles and didn’t remove the blocks because they’re welded to the axle?

    • @jaypope9761
      @jaypope9761 Рік тому

      Then it will only lower 2". The 3rd inch comes from removing tge block on 4x4 vehicles. Thus is actually only a 2" shackle.

    in the vid the after isnt leveled what so ever, read is alot higher than the front, if i were to get this and do it to my single cab 2013 f150 would lowering both the front and rear actually level it out if done right?

    • @polished_5.0
      @polished_5.0 Рік тому

      I think you'd need a 4in drop in the rear to get it level unless you go back up and inch Im the front. Kinda sucks but that what I'm getting from it.

    Do you have to cut the bump stops on the back? I did mine and the bumps are like an inch from hitting they bottom out every bump.

    How does this affect suspension travel distance? If tires are flush with the fender or flares, will it hit if you hit a bump going 40+? And what about lowering spindles like the ones from Maxtrac?

    • @Vhifzvjif

      Flip kit is 6” , with drop shackles you can get 7” or 8” if they’re 2” drop shackles.. I’ma install belltech 3” lowering shocks with 2” lowering springs , in the rear I have Maxtrac 6” flip kit and 2” rough country drop shackles, I have it on the 7” height in rear, with AirLift SlamAir helper bags
