Great list! "Jaws" and "Humanoids From the Deep" have been on my summer watch list for a long time, but I will try some of your suggestions. No cannibal movies for me, though. I love zombies, but cannibals - no. Here's a few more I enjoy watching in the summer: 1) "Grizzly" (1976) - a grizzly bear eating campers and park rangers! 2) "The Car" (1977) - a supernatural demonic car squushing people in a desert town, with James Brolin (a plus for the ladies of a certain age), 3) Harper's Island (mini series - 2009), a summer wedding on an island leads to many inventive murders, and 4) "The Unseen" (1980), a beautiful journalist (Barbara Bach) covers a summer festival in a weird small town. Happy summer viewing!
Check out the 1981 backwoods slasher film "Just Before Dawn". It was filmed at Silver Falls State Park in Silverton, Oregon. The musical score was composed by Brad Fiedel, who later composed the musical scores for both The Terminator and Fright Night.
"Day of the Animals" - camping in the mountains with Leslie Nielsen and an ozone hole! "Kingdom of the Spiders" - William Shatner is a rural veterinarian puzzled by the surprise deaths of some farm animals. If spiders give one the willies, enjoy.
I love The Lost Boys it's one of my favorites movies of all time I need my favorite vampire / horror movie but when I think I've lost boys and when to watch it I usually watch it around Halloween time but I can see why you would associate it with the summertime
Honestly, I avoid I Know What You Did Last Summer because it's nothing like the book. For one thing, they hit and kill a ten year old boy and it's his older brother that comes after them.
Some real classics here, and I agree, Return To Sleepaway Camp is shit haha. LOVE The Lost Boys! The Prowler is really an underseen gem! I like Wrong Turn, REALLY like Wrong Turn 2, 3 is a bit meh to me, 4-6 was just garbage imo haha. I Know What You Did Last Summer is really one of my faves tbh, probably a bit cause I saw it the first time when I was about 12 or something lol. I still haven't seen Cannibal Holocaust yet, but I need to try it sometime. Also, I hope this isn't stepping the line, but you're so hot! Haha 🫣😍
@@the-marshalls Yeah, I know that it's supposed to be one of the most extreme movies, but I've sat through so many of those now that I doubt I'll be fazed by this one haha.
