With the prime go's unlimited resources of music and with my original music catalog I can play seamlessly.. stress free.... And I can hook up 2.sets of dual wireless mics.... And just roll.... I perform concert style events.... 2-3 times a month even thru the pandemic... and it was a problem lugging equipment.... Now with the stress off... Everything is a breeze... With this I can do a 55 minute concert at 4-5 the rate of a 4-6 hour DJ gig with 1 tenth of the gear... This is a home run.... Keep the great posts going sir!!!!... Mr. Vinegar

I love this unit. I took it to the Dominican Republic in February. I had to do 2 live events out there and it was very convenient. loaded with 2 2TB HDs I had all of the music I needed plus Tidal and the other services. It's exactly what CT says. no fuss 5 minute set up. Plus I also fooled around creating mixes on the plane. With this unit, I can go anywhere around the globe and do a show. All I need is internet of a minimum 0f 10MEG upload speed, audio only 30Meg for video....If there is anything I would like to change is the looping and the buttons Cleveland talked about. I would like more control on the loops because older tracks like Disco for instance, are not even with the beat grid on the display. On the SC6000, I can do that and have a perfect loop for a mix. Other than that, Prime GO gets and A+....You can push to see who much music these units can handle before you see lag in loading. I pushed it to 6TB with a mix of WAV and MP3. Probably more TBs if you only do MP3 @ 320kbps for good sound quality.....the bigger the file the more time it takes to load. The smaller the HD, the faster it works. If you're mostly a house DJ, this will work for you....

Great video.I believe the prime go is a incredible controller I'm on the verge of purchasing it despite the fact it was released a year ago but what's holding me back is denon may release a prime go 2 in the summer
I just used mine after it sitting in a closet for nearly two years. I spent 20-30 mins before and after my sets showing off to the other DJs what this little box can do. Personally, my only complaint is not being able to use Google Drive/Workspace.
The download "all" part of streaming tracks allows you to completely lose wifi and the whole song will still be in memory... a real bonus... you dont start a track that will drop out half way ++++
I've been using it for a few weeks now, constantly using the streaming services. I was DJing at a very packed bar for the boxing heavyweight title. I found that the download speed of my prime go severely slowed down in a very very busy environment. I was using hotspot through my Samsung s10. Everything went back to normal speed when the bar emptied out. There must be some interference when there's a lot of phones in use

Considering this one over the mixstream, yes it’s more expensive but I’m a mobile dj that needs performance with a lightweight design, yes I still use virtual dj im hoping this will be compatible

Would you recommend this for beginners? Or should I be looking at the Numark Mixstream Pro or even something simpler like Pioneer DDJ200, Reloop Buddy or Ready, etc.
Not sure I'm with you on the slip roll part. Maybe it's just down to my style, but I'd much rather have the shorter rolls easily accessible. About the only time I use loop rolls is 1/2 to add double kicks, or rolling through 1/2, 1/4, 1/8 to create a drum roll. I can't see much value in slip rolls above those values. loops, sure, but not slip rolls. I dunno maybe that has something to do with my genre selection and mixing style (fast and aggressive for both).
I'm about to buy my first standalone DJ mixer and I'm heavily doubting between the Prime GO and the Pioneer XDJ-RR. Same price range (1000 bucks). I want it for djing at some parties and clubs, which one would you guys recommend??
Hi there, Im writing to you because I am having an issue with my denon prime go. I bought the the prime go back in 2022. It is still a great unit. Sadly I am having audio drop outs whenever I am moving the fader on deck 2 the right side. Been having this issue for a couple months now and now it is annoying me. Have you had this issue before with your prime go. if so, what did you do to fix it? please let me know. Meanwhile im deciding to go buy the denon prime 4+ or just go back to serato while the prime go gets fixed. Thanks bro.
As someone just getting started in djing, would you recommend the Prime Go? I like the Prime Go because of the 7" display, hoping that I'll be able to see it. My challenge is that I'm almost blind. Didn't want to get into the dj controllers because they rely on my ability to interact with a laptop. Laptops are just too small for me to interact with it effectively. That's why I use a 27" external monitor in my home studio. Ihere you and others talk about the Prime Go as a back up system. I think I'd be happy working weddings and parties where this smaller set up might work. Your thoughts are appreciated.
If using the unit with a USB thumb drive to upload your music..can I also play this unit by hooking it up to a laptop and play music from your laptop..?? And what software to use?
I just wish it didn't have the jog wheels and was even a little smaller. I'm looking for something like this without jog wheels. if I wanna scratch i use a turntable n vinyl
I've read that the Prime Go is not suitable for a club (in contrast to the advertising that suggests that) and about issues with sound quality. Your opinion on this? Thx & Bye
I have no issues with sound quality. The mics don't have eqs so that might be the issue with sound quality. However, I wouldn't use a prime go for club use.
Great content yet again! Me and a mate play a couple of gigs a month at a local brewery/bar. All vinyl sets that last around 6 hours. I’ve been looking at a way to introduce a digital component..yet we’re late to the party. I have a technics/pioneer 750 mk2 set up. I was wondering if this is something I could add to channel 3 and start adding to sets? We’re a little put off by the idea of adding laptop and separate controller but this unit looks small enough to not take away from the vinyl set up feel that people seem to love? Sorry, not the most tech savvy, but engine looks like a little easier entry point that rekordbox. Cheers! Pete
Yea I used mine the other day with potable speakers outdoors. Loved it. Just wish they had a day mode. Had to wear sunglasses 🕶. Plus they need the screen to tilt, so bad for my back. Other than that I used my phones 5G WiFi and it takes about 1min to download a 3min song
I purchased a small metal laptop stand from Walmart for $14 brand is ONi works great. Only problem if you use the effects at the top corner could make it wobble.
Sorry to intrude on a different video, but hope it gets better visibility. For a starter in the controller world ( am familiar with vinyl ) would you advice the ddj 1000 ( rekordbox ) or the DDj 1000 srt ( Serato )
it looks a bit too big and heavy...i want Akai and Pioneer to come with a portable setup...I recently got a new Akai AMX/AFX ! now if they made a controller similar to Reloop Ready that would be great
No. You need an external soundcard connected to one of your outputs, like Master, in the external then to your laptop. i use it that way when I do my weekly show when i'm using the Prime Go.
your chanel should have more sub and more attention. always good content and creative. yours is my most favorite chanel, not someone with paid by "industry standard" shit to talk over and over again.
Love my prime go but does need some improvements ...still has some glitches ...needs two usbs slots ....needs preview on streaming and recommended tracks .....
The roland is a 4 channel, mixer. The prime go is a 2 channel mixer. So it depends on if you need a 4 channel or a two channel. You can't go wrong owning the prime go. I would keep my 707 and add the prime go, It's so versatile. I have the prime 4 and i have the prime go for all my smaller sound events. Like grand openings, corporate happy hours, ceremony part of weddings were i set up a sound system in another room. And when ceremony is over i can just store my prime go and move to the reception room and start on my prime 4. I play at the zoo, i play sporting events so the prime go is perfect for those type of events.
I just got mine and the fx on button seems really stiff compared to the mic 1 and 2 on buttons. Can anyone who has one tell me if thats how it's supposed to be? Thanks anyone who replies.
@@djerniet350 are you forced to use engine prime, or can i just dump a few hundred wavs onto a card and let the prime go analyse them, then set the cue points up for each song in the prime go?

Didn't want to get into the dj controllers because they rely on my ability to interact with a laptop. Laptops are just too small for me to interact with it effectively. That's why I use a 27" external monitor in my home studio. Ihere you and others talk about the Prime Go as a back up system. I think I'd be happy working weddings and parties where this smaller set up might work. Your thoughts are appreciated.
I’m waiting for the go mk2
This versus the new Numark mixstream go. which you think is better?
You should watch my video on it. 😀
How I know wat song I played before ?? And not repited again???
What was the battery run time before shutting down? I’m going to guess about 5 hours based on your events and a few extra minutes
3 to 4 hours depending on how hard you work it
If using the unit with a USB thumb drive to upload your music..can I also play this unit by hooking it up to a laptop and play music from your laptop..?? And what software to use?
You can not play through your computer. It uses engine os.

Cheers! Pete
I've never used stereo at a gig. Always mono.
I just wish you could hook up a tablet so there's a bigger screen. Sometimes looking down hurts my back after a while.
That thing able to connect Traktor software as controller?
Yeah i actually just returned this today it’s not for me
Yea I used mine the other day with potable speakers outdoors.
Prime Go 2 is going to be epic.
@@P4boot yea for real! I would like to trade mines in for the Go2. The prime GO2 is my new GO2
@@bboymac84 when is the prime go 2 coming out . I don’t see any promo on it
@@P4boot when is that suppose to come out
Sorry to intrude on a different video, but hope it gets better visibility.
For a starter in the controller world ( am familiar with vinyl ) would you advice the ddj 1000 ( rekordbox ) or the DDj 1000 srt ( Serato )
I have videos on both of them. Search them with my name.
@@ClevelandTerry will check, but as someone with experience, which would you recommend?
1210 > CDJ2000 > DDJ1000 > Prime 2 > Prime Go. I found my love child. Size matters and I love the portability
it looks a bit too big and heavy...i want Akai and Pioneer to come with a portable setup...I recently got a new Akai AMX/AFX ! now if they made a controller similar to Reloop Ready that would be great
Nice follow up
I love mine but I lose power around the the 3 hour mark. Is that normal?
Batteries age but it can be replaced.
Ik zou het heel fijn vinden als Deezer kon gebruiken waar blijven die????
Do you think this is possible to connect up with the rane twelves. I’ve always liked the idea due to the screens.
It’s is not possible
@@ClevelandTerry is this because it's not got a built in sound card?
Do we have the option to record are mixes with the prime go ?
Yes.
Thanks for the update! Question... can this connect to a computer and be recognized as a sound card? In OBS directly?
It unfortunately can not.
@@ClevelandTerry Bummer. That would be a fantastic feature!
Do you know if it's possible to use a extern powerbank to push the battery playtime?
Yes you can plug the Prime Go into mains power and use it for longer events. I love mine.
You can use a portable ac powerbank or generator.
Or you can plug it in.
Does engine OS on this have stems yet?
No. Not yet.
Love my prime go but does need some improvements ...still has some glitches ...needs two usbs slots ....needs preview on streaming and recommended tracks .....
The effects increases the volume
Awesome review! I’m thinking about trading in my roland 707m and getting the prime go.....thoughts?
I would love to see a Version without the jog wheels and pads instead
Great video CT. I love my Go, you’re spot on about the jogs though. I’m still battling with those fine adjustments on them.
I just got mine and the fx on button seems really stiff compared to the mic 1 and 2 on buttons. Can anyone who has one tell me if thats how it's supposed to be? Thanks anyone who replies.
Terry can this unit be hooked up to any Bluetooth speaker
There is no bluetooth in this device. You would need to use a bluetooth transmitter in order to make it work.
@@ClevelandTerry Thanks Terry. Can you recommend 1?
💯 #teamrapprod
Do you have software like rekordbox where you can load songs to your sd card and usb?
You have to use the Engine prime software. It's like rekordbox but it is Denon's Software created for the Prime series players.
@@djerniet350 are you forced to use engine prime, or can i just dump a few hundred wavs onto a card and let the prime go analyse them, then set the cue points up for each song in the prime go?
@@dorsetengineering yes you can use the card and set cue points on the prime go.
@@dorsetengineering it also recognises rekordbox Analysed songs
@@RathOX I don't use rekordbox at the moment, but it's good to know that it can recognise them
What is an event that is 1 hour?
