All I want is for arms race to return. It's long overdue by now and that game mode is one of my favs since I was introduced to it back in the good ol CS Source days when it was called gun game. Danger Zone can wait for sure, it's not a big deal of a game mode right now since it's not a trendy thing like it was in 2017-2018.
Many people are upset of how bad Valve is with communication to its player base. People who have bought and playing the game should be informed by Valve about that DangerZone and ArmsRace is coming back in Counter Strike 2!
15:20 that is not a good idea. Everyone knows that whiny kids are spam reporting the enemy team just because they are winning. So for a player to be punished, it needs to go through an actual valve employee.
I don't think they would implement a simple reporting system, players with good reputation will have more power over toxic or new players, something like that should make a lot more sense.
🤖Good video. I like that Valve choose not to take advantage of their users. Especially given that they've invested so heavily in Linux. That means a lot to someone like me. I'm not competing at even a Tier 3 or 4 level on CS, and my experience has been great.
I dont think its accurate to say they rushed the release because of community pressure because of the "summer release date" They have shown multiple times for better or worse (imo for better) they dont care about community pressure. They didnt even release it for summer, I think it has more to do with getting the game as polished as possible for the Major cycle. They already cancelled 1 major and they likely planned the other majors a little over a year in advance, if they cancelled the release they would have to either cancel another major or get PGL to accept that the entire hype around the major being the first CS2 major will be wrong (not to mention Paris being last CSGO major as well as a cancelled major for then no reason) Its frustrating to not have a perfect release but I have definitely felt that many of the new changes are very exciting and the issues with CS2 are heavily over exaggerated imo. I like the new CS a lot, movement is one of my biggest issues and I hope they will continue to address it, but im at 18k and havent met any cheaters yet (except for once on community retake server) and Valve certainly under estimated how much the game would be ready by now but I am super excited for CS2 and what Valve have in store for the game! 🤖
I think the same! On a more speculative thought Valve may be dabbling with hard deadlines for their projects because its something of a negative that valve never meets their own deadlines and delay every release by like a year on average. From a logistical standpoint deadlines are important and allow them to better organize and plan for the future updates, save money and optimize workloads. TLDR; maybe it happened because of internal pressures.
@@sw33p3rLeet Thats possible but I doubt there was a lot of internal pressure outside of wanting the game to not be massively bugged and subtick being dog when the Major RMRs start. Thats just my own interpretation though. Theyve written in their handbook or employee guide or whatever its called that they dont get mad if deadlines arent met, but they just acknowledge that its a failure since now they are behind schedule. They also dont want people to do crunch time because while its nice that people will work hard, it signals that something went wrong for them to have to in the first place. I think they would rather just say "oh well, we missed the deadline" and then keep working on what needs to be worked on rather than rush it out, either way they are just gonna sit down and analyze why they got it wrong after the fact. Like Gaben said "Late is just for a little while. Suck is forever" I dont really think they mind delays, they obviously want to minimize them so they arent necessary. One might argue that then they should have delayed the CS2 release but as I said in my main comment I dont think that was a possibility, so now the release is gonna suck but the actual Majors and first competitive year wont, as well as the game will suck for as little time as possible.

Behavior ranking would be awesome, just because a player is not griefing does not mean they are not a terrible teammate, current trust factor and commendations are very pointless...I wish CS had a toggle for "Got Microphone" queue, but people would just enable it and still not communicate. Also back in the days everyone did play together AS A TEAM instead of 5 players not communicating at all, or when communicating screaming at eachother without getting any sort of punishment. Its a team game, communication is key and a part of what makes the game fun. Now days you have to play 5 pre to have this experience which is why everyone does it, which is wrong.

I am really hopeful for the future, but they have to fix the latency, the net coding, the subtick or w/e because peeking is insane. It drives people crazy because they feel cheated when they get killed with 0 chance to actually do something. I hope they will keep fixing the fundamentals of the game and not get greedy or feel pressured by the community to release cosmetics and unneeded content. The game needs to be technically flawless in order for it to grow.
Releasing CS 2 too early was a failure and then trying to somehow let us feel this is natural to basically create a game while it's alpha/beta is somewhat despicable.

If they do what they are doing in Dota, CS2 will be a much better place to play than it is now.... 1. Giving us the option to matchmake only with solo queue players 2. Ban smurfs 3. Ability to like/dislike teammates and enemies. If disliked, the chances of matchmaking with that user is reduced. 4. Behavior score. Visual feedback of the result of our reporting such as a list of the sucessful cases with the 'action taken' message so we get the idea behind what griefing, cheating etc means for Valve. Also I think adding the AI Anti-Cheat will help a lot. The current game state is frustrating. You never know when a person is good or is cheating while you get ferrari peaked from a 4k score person... PS: The current 5 stack matchmaking is broken... Me and my friends are no higher than 12k rating (ranging from 5k to 12k) and CS2 put us up against a 5 stack of 14k each player...

Also I think adding the AI Anti-Cheat will help a lot. The current game state is frustrating. You never know when a person is good or is cheating while you get ferrari peaked from a 4k score person...
PS: The current 5 stack matchmaking is broken... Me and my friends are no higher than 12k rating (ranging from 5k to 12k) and CS2 put us up against a 5 stack of 14k each player...

honestly as somebody whose more new to cs i love this game i think it has awhile to go before its really polished up & working the way valve had intended so im going to keep playing it the people that ran away from the game will always comeback to this game you just can't stop playing it once you've been bitten by the cs2 bug sure i play other games like red dead 2 but nothing feels quite like cs to me

Cs2 battle royal has so much potential to be the best game ever made
i personaly am fine with valve taking their time to fix things instead of releasing content. i have engaged a lot more with smurfs than cheaters. still i want both to be banned. once we cleaned up the bugs and cheaters we can talk about content. for now i believe vavle takes the right way t dealing with all of it
