I dont think its about screaming, its about letting Valve know that the problem has become unbearable. With no communication about it from their side, we can only assume whats happening about VAC on what we experience. That is not good, but you're right that Valve earned the trust from us to be able to develop new VAC in silence. Sadly, that does not change the fact that i won't play till that gets released, since the problem is real.

I play this game for over 25 years. Started with CS Beta. The Anti-Cheat update will be huge. I expect like 2 million bans. Which is great as valve will sell a lot of premiums.

Also the left click version never worked in CS2. There were posts on Reddit that asked for a fix. So they probably just read that there and then removed it.

as a TF2 player who has seen a fuck ton of bots and hackers I'm really confused as to why Valve thinks it's ok to treat their customer base like this, why continue giving services and have these servivces as shit as they've been, it baffles me they have allowed CS2 and Dota2 to be where they are considering how much more money they produced incomparison to their other games, but at the same time, what the fuck are they doing, people clearly want to spend money on their games yet the experience it's clearly anti-consumer. We can’t sue them, but to be very honest, if we ever have another online valve game, I won’t even bother playing, it will be left to rot anyway.If by the end of the year, I don’t see any significant improvement on the anti cheat, i will probably sell all my skins and move to another competitive fps game. There’s no way to know what Valve is working on. They could’ve been working on an AI dataset for a while, or other big updates like 64 bit TF2 which they just released... or they just aren’t doing anything, who knows.

Valve is NEVER going to take anti-cheat real. This game has always had an issue with cheating, but if we really start looking at it from 1.5/1.6 to present, it's only gotten worse. It's gone from a "problem", to a straight up epidemic. Valve simply doesn't "care". Why? Because people keep buying it, people keep playing it, and, more specifically and importantly, they keep buying skins. It's also why CoD is still alive and making money; if a company can just keep the status quo with very little investment and make tons and tons of money, why do more? So in essence Valve has said with their actions "Shut up and buy our skins, nerd", and the community has happily complied for YEARS with zero signs of stopping.
I do think Valve is cooking something. Just be patient and play some other games while waiting. But don't get your hopes up too high, there's also the possibility that Valve is focused more on Dota 2 content atm.

You can not defend Valve being radio silent about their updates. They could just release a forum post and tell us that they are working on an anti-cheat and most would be happy to wait, but they tell us nothing and there is no sign that they are working on anything at all. The release of CS2 removed a ton of features from CSGO and it feels as if they began from square 1 again as an alpha game and the state of the game is not defendable. CS2 should still have been in beta, they could have gathered data from cheaters without this crazy cheater infection in their live game. Having 2 games live at the same time could also let them compare cheats and see which engine is the easiest to notice cheats at, but they rushed CS2 and now it is infected by a ton of cheaters. Valve could also tell us if they are working on some operation to let us know that something is going on, but they are not connected to the community that makes them filthy rich and it is just sad to see that they just grab our money and ignore the playerbase.
CS:GO has almost the same anticheat. The big difference between CS2 and CSGO is that there is NO OVERWATCH. Overwatch was really the only way most rage cheaters on private cheats ever gotten banned. The point of the anticheat is to prevent random things from hooking into the game and modifying and reading the memory, but there's no actual way to prevent proper hooking methods like Handle Hijacking. Another difference is that they ARENT PATCHING EASY TO FIX EXPLOITS, like rapid fire and no spread. It's as if these exploits aren't in almost half of the massive big name rage cheats, and make it COMPLETELY IMPOSSIBLE to beat them legit.

CONTROVERSIAL OPINION : VAC is perfectly fine, the real problem lies in Valve's placement of matchmaking as the "default" way to enjoy CS:2. The ideal waay should be to find a small (or big?) community with which you can schedule and organize matches with known non-cheating opponents. This fixes literally EVERY issue with matchmaking. Matchmaking should be seen as an absolute last resort to play somewhat unserious matches and to practice your pop flashes and micro-mechanics, not much else, and everyone wins out in the end. Players get better by playing fair games with teammates and opponents of an adequate level. You don't have to endure yet another ultra-invasive anti-cheat. Valve doesn't have to create said anti-cheat. Cheaters get permabanned from any community they try to enter and which keeps a somewhat close eye on sus activity. Etc. JUST FIND 20 ACTIVE PLAYERS TO PUT IN A DISCORD IT'S NOT THAT HARD BROS

Its all bots, we have proof. So numbers are actually going down. Its all fake info. Workshop isn't working if you want to play with friends, because dev team is so stupid they cant make so that home PC makes a server where you and your friends can connect, but starts as private server. ( I looked into the console and I know whats happening in the code ). Next issue that was happening was that everyone that used AMD gpus would get banned/bugged out of the game + after that they couldn't place stickers and edit them. And its very interesting that it only happened for AMD gpus/drivers, if you take that Nvidia has a personal setting in the game for their gpus you can make out of it that Nvidia payed Valve to make AMD gpus buggy for the game. Thats why after that they were saying that people use Nvidia more and you should too. Valve is just a disappointment at this point. There is no content in the game, valve just wants to grab some money out of this. Ranking system is still ass, its funny how that big of a company cant make normal systems. I wont even talk about anticheat its just a meme at this point. Plus its funny how you take sponsorship of 3rd party websites while you are one of the Valves workers. Just proves even more my point of going for cash and not caring about community. Thankfully there are people that care for this game, so we don't need Valve for this. And celebrating little fixes/updates of the game is just horrendous, because a lot of bugs should even be at release. CS2 is weird, i believe basic handle hijacking allows you to hook into the game without any detections (no driver needed), and you can freely read and write memory to the game. Something strange i noticed when I was testing rage cheating is that I somehow started to only get into games with other cheaters, ONLY OTHER CHEATERS. Im not sure if its some detection which lowers trust factor, or if its from reports. Though as soon as i get commended once I'm straight back into normalish lobbies without other cheaters... This game's current state is so confusing icl.

I'm convinced when people started being able to trick VAC with high DPI it totally blew up their AC in its current iteration. They've been so against invasive anticheats and have been willing to explore other, "less effective" options in favor of accuracy and data privacy. But, while these purposeful and recreatable VAC bans aren't that big a deal, it completely takes away any notion of accuracy in their AC. Anyone can just say it was a DPI bug or something...
VAC exists and is not disabled. It's the same as CS:GO, except more people are getting into cheating than ever, and there is no overwatch system anymore. All VAC bans were from detected cheats, for example, they inject or hook into the game using a certain method, or write to a fake memory address which imitates another one. Like Aimware (okay rage and good legit cheat) has been detected a few times and EVERYONE who used it at the point it got detected got added to a ban wave. Valve really needs to patch exploits like Rapid fire (allows you to fire the entire mag without delay) and No Spread (Removes the spread of the gun from movement). They are the main reason why 1 Cheater can easily beat 5 legits always.
That's fine. I'm not buying anything until they fix anti cheat. Why invest in a game that can't be played without running into a cheater. I'm tired of it, I'm done. I have no problem voting with my wallet.

90% of the people who played with me have already abandoned the game for something else... The numbers grow and that's why you see a lot more people with little playing time and unrealistic skills on brand new accounts, or accounts purchased with a 5 year old medal and no commemorative medal. The game is completely infested. Almost unplayable!
I've been waiting for something for a while, the game is VERY boring. It needs a second season of Premier with a new map pool or an operation to enjoy playing missions, now I feel the same sensation as when you could only play Dust 2 in the beta, although now full of chiters haha good video bro! If a game says it's cheat free vs perfect anti-cheat with 0 cheaters, the game would have more players if cheats are free.
anti cheat is like valve employees. its on vacation doing fuck all and laughing knowing the community is starved for something.

You can not defend Valve being radio silent about their updates. They could just release a forum post and tell us that they are working on an anti-cheat and most would be happy to wait, but they tell us nothing and there is no sign that they are working on anything at all. The release of CS2 removed a ton of features from CSGO and it feels as if they began from square 1 again as an alpha game and the state of the game is not defendable. CS2 should still have been in beta, they could have gathered data from cheaters without this crazy cheater infection in their live game. Having 2 games live at the same time could also let them compare cheats and see which engine is the easiest to notice cheats at, but they rushed CS2 and now it is infected by a ton of cheaters. Valve could also tell us if they are working on some operation to let us know that something is going on, but they are not connected to the community that makes them filthy rich and it is just sad to see that they just grab our money and ignore the playerbase.
🦷 Literally the only reason I'd play CS2 nowadays is for custom maps and the development of server plugins.

CS:GO has almost the same anticheat.
The big difference between CS2 and CSGO is that there is NO OVERWATCH.
Overwatch was really the only way most rage cheaters on private cheats ever gotten banned.
The point of the anticheat is to prevent random things from hooking into the game and modifying and reading the memory, but there's no actual way to prevent proper hooking methods like Handle Hijacking.
Another difference is that they ARENT PATCHING EASY TO FIX EXPLOITS, like rapid fire and no spread.
It's as if these exploits aren't in almost half of the massive big name rage cheats, and make it COMPLETELY IMPOSSIBLE to beat them legit.

Though they can't really do that much more at launch unless they were to make it a driver anticheat.

CONTROVERSIAL OPINION :
VAC is perfectly fine, the real problem lies in Valve's placement of matchmaking as the "default" way to enjoy CS:2. The ideal waay should be to find a small (or big?) community with which you can schedule and organize matches with known non-cheating opponents. This fixes literally EVERY issue with matchmaking.
Matchmaking should be seen as an absolute last resort to play somewhat unserious matches and to practice your pop flashes and micro-mechanics, not much else, and everyone wins out in the end.
Players get better by playing fair games with teammates and opponents of an adequate level.
You don't have to endure yet another ultra-invasive anti-cheat.
Valve doesn't have to create said anti-cheat.
Cheaters get permabanned from any community they try to enter and which keeps a somewhat close eye on sus activity.
Etc.
JUST FIND 20 ACTIVE PLAYERS TO PUT IN A DISCORD IT'S NOT THAT HARD BROS

as a TF2 player I am very tired of news about cheaters especially those in CS2
Thing with valve is, they have always been silent. They like to take time to work on things without saying much. However it doesn't help that they aren't that big of a team, so it will take time.
When I started this game I was 16 years old and now I am 30 years old and I must say that in all these years valve only sold us the dream of anti-cheat, and it will be the same from now on.

then keep playing on faceit makes more sense

Its all bots, we have proof. So numbers are actually going down. Its all fake info. Workshop isn't working if you want to play with friends, because dev team is so stupid they cant make so that home PC makes a server where you and your friends can connect, but starts as private server. ( I looked into the console and I know whats happening in the code ). Next issue that was happening was that everyone that used AMD gpus would get banned/bugged out of the game + after that they couldn't place stickers and edit them. And its very interesting that it only happened for AMD gpus/drivers, if you take that Nvidia has a personal setting in the game for their gpus you can make out of it that Nvidia payed Valve to make AMD gpus buggy for the game. Thats why after that they were saying that people use Nvidia more and you should too. Valve is just a disappointment at this point. There is no content in the game, valve just wants to grab some money out of this. Ranking system is still ass, its funny how that big of a company cant make normal systems. I wont even talk about anticheat its just a meme at this point. Plus its funny how you take sponsorship of 3rd party websites while you are one of the Valves workers. Just proves even more my point of going for cash and not caring about community. Thankfully there are people that care for this game, so we don't need Valve for this. And celebrating little fixes/updates of the game is just horrendous, because a lot of bugs should even be at release. But why that happened OH YEAH BECAUSE YOU WANTED TO GET EVEN MORE CASH BECAUSE YOU WOULD RELEASE CS2 LONG AWAITED GAME RIGHT? And what you get is no players and game full of bots. And why not have two teams of developers so that one team goes on vacation while other is working, then when the 1st one goes to work the 2nd goes to vacation? Just dumb excuses. And fun fact: if you take a skin of some guns ( for example p2000 acid etched ) you will se that its an old model from csgo and not a new one. Isn't that funny

CS2 is weird, i believe basic handle hijacking allows you to hook into the game without any detections (no driver needed), and you can freely read and write memory to the game.
Something strange i noticed when I was testing rage cheating is that I somehow started to only get into games with other cheaters, ONLY OTHER CHEATERS.
Im not sure if its some detection which lowers trust factor, or if its from reports.
Though as soon as i get commended once I'm straight back into normalish lobbies without other cheaters...

I'm convinced when people started being able to trick VAC with high DPI it totally blew up their AC in its current iteration. They've been so against invasive anticheats and have been willing to explore other, "less effective" options in favor of accuracy and data privacy. But, while these purposeful and recreatable VAC bans aren't that big a deal, it completely takes away any notion of accuracy in their AC. Anyone can just say it was a DPI bug or something...

I think valve temporarily disabled vac due to the amount of false bans that was happening. Hopefully when VAC comes back it will be more effective
VAC exists and is not disabled.
It's the same as CS:GO, except more people are getting into cheating than ever, and there is no overwatch system anymore.
All VAC bans were from detected cheats, for example, they inject or hook into the game using a certain method, or write to a fake memory address which imitates another one.
Like Aimware (okay rage and good legit cheat) has been detected a few times and EVERYONE who used it at the point it got detected got added to a ban wave.
Valve really needs to patch exploits like Rapid fire (allows you to fire the entire mag without delay) and No Spread (Removes the spread of the gun from movement).
They are the main reason why 1 Cheater can easily beat 5 legits always.
That's fine. I'm not buying anything until they fix anti cheat. Why invest in a game that can't be played without running into a cheater. I'm tired of it, I'm done. I have no problem voting with my wallet.

the second method of using a spray was probably removed because it wasn't working (for most people at least?) since the beta and I guess they just gave up on it instead of fixing it. sad, i liked it better

You can call me a fanboy all you want, but implementing an anti cheat properly is something no game is doing "right". This kind of clickbaity polarization is weird as hell. Even a kernel-level AC in valorant still has cheaters. If everyone knows it so well, why hasn't anyone designed an Anti-Cheat for Valve (not code, just design)?
