Vac was pretty good back in the day, if whatever they come up with next is as good we’ll be ok for a few years at-least.

I dont think its about screaming, its about letting Valve know that the problem has become unbearable. With no communication about it from their side, we can only assume whats happening about VAC on what we experience. That is not good, but you're right that Valve earned the trust from us to be able to develop new VAC in silence. Sadly, that does not change the fact that i won't play till that gets released, since the problem is real.

Closet cheaters are a bigger problem than blatant, I actually respect the people openly spin botting a lot more. The blatant cheaters put a fire under valve.

For me 90% of the time those messages aren’t actually someone who got VAC banned. It’s either a faceit ban or a longer ban from grieving/abandoning

I play this game for over 25 years. Started with CS Beta.
The Anti-Cheat update will be huge. I expect like 2 million bans. Which is great as valve will sell a lot of premiums.

They already added a community spray kit 7 years ago. It was called the "Community Graffiti Box 1". Despite the name, there is (currently) no Community Graffiti Box 2.
Also the left click version never worked in CS2. There were posts on Reddit that asked for a fix. So they probably just read that there and then removed it.
Tf2 recently got it's 64bit update. It's a pretty huge deal.

Regardless if it falls on deaf ears or not. To just "shut up and take it" is the stupidest thing you can possibly do. Voice your frustrations.

The one time I can think of when Valve responded to commented on something this serious was the tf2 update that caused some crates to always give unusuals.
as a TF2 player who has seen a fuck ton of bots and hackers I'm really confused as to why Valve thinks it's ok to treat their customer base like this, why continue giving services and have these servivces as shit as they've been, it baffles me they have allowed CS2 and Dota2 to be where they are considering how much more money they produced incomparison to their other games, but at the same time, what the fuck are they doing, people clearly want to spend money on their games yet the experience it's clearly anti-consumer.
I'm pretty sure they could be sued, if we wanted to.
For fucks sake valve either shut tf2 or fix the fucking game or fucking hire a third party company to just give it maintenance.
Sued lmao, sued for what? For you not liking the games? They can do whatever they want, cs2 is free to play, they could pull the plug any time they want, they can delete all skins overnight if they want to. It's their game, people are still spending money on skins so cs2 is still profitable for Valve, until it stops being profitable nothing will change. If people actually wanted to force Valve to fix cs they would start boycotting it by not buying and selling any skins and cases.
We can’t sue them, but to be very honest, if we ever have another online valve game, I won’t even bother playing, it will be left to rot anyway.If by the end of the year, I don’t see any significant improvement on the anti cheat, i will probably sell all my skins and move to another competitive fps game. It’s honestly insane how much they don’t care about their own profitable product.

There’s no way to know what Valve is working on. They could’ve been working on an AI dataset for a while, or other big updates like 64 bit TF2 which they just released... or they just aren’t doing anything, who knows.
Valve doesn't think it's okay. That's why they're constantly developing new tools to combat it.

And when exactly is Valve deadline for fixing cheating? It's been more than 10 years why are they even pretending, they are powerless. They should work with Faceit and force Faceit AC on game boot. Also i cant believe they work on Train when the community wants Cbble Cache and D2 (already on CS2 why was it even removed from pool?)
Valve is against Kernel, forcing people to install spyware on their computers to play their games is against their philosophy.

@@SeazonHDx Why wouldn't they? That's just more work for them and it would piss players off. This way they can ignore cheating issues while also having their moral slate clean by not directly forcing people to install spyware, even though they are pretty much indirectly forcing them rn. It's a win win for Valve, players still play their game and waste their money on it, they don't have to make an anticheat since Faceit makes it for them, and their philosophy of no spyware gets "upheld".

🦷I really love CS2 (came back on release after not playing CS since Source was released and took the joy of CS from me) but the cheating and lack of content is really hindering my mood as of late. I can understand how some who don't have my patience feels. I trust CS is not going anywhere but goddamn is it time to get some things fixed.

I do think Valve is cooking something. Just be patient and play some other games while waiting. But don't get your hopes up too high, there's also the possibility that Valve is focused more on Dota 2 content atm.
I agree, I’ve spent the last few months playing other games, if you play cs2 everyday it feels like a lifetime until they do something, but they are thinking long term

IDC if i need to use an AC like faceit to play MM in CS2 it's worth it to me if I'm already doing it while playing Faceit.

🦷 in csgo i almost never faced hackers in my lobbies. But in cs2 i have faced them numerous times.. most of the time they were in my team.
I'm sure anti cheat is their number 1 priority cos it's never been this bad.
because there is trust factor in CSGO thus good player(less toxic) rarely meet cheater
🦷 I think they will announce the new anti cheat with a operation they added the codes for operation,theyre also making a prize pool for community maps (that means these maps will come with operation) if it will be like that I’m sure cs will surpass lifetime active player count easily
the biggest issue is the desync in the game. client is about two seconds behind the server.

there have been too many hackers in the game, it's unbearable, I only play deathmatch and unengaging competitive and premier is filled with hackers, I can't understand what pleasure it gives a person to play with a hack when you know that the person against you has no chance, right, the idea is to become a better person and develop skills in the game and I have been playing it since 1999 but there have never been so many hackers

🦷 Literally the only reason I'd play CS2 nowadays is for custom maps and the development of server plugins.
I think valve temporarily disabled vac due to the amount of false bans that was happening. Hopefully when VAC comes back it will be more effective
VAC exists and is not disabled.
It's the same as CS:GO, except more people are getting into cheating than ever, and there is no overwatch system anymore.
All VAC bans were from detected cheats, for example, they inject or hook into the game using a certain method, or write to a fake memory address which imitates another one.
Like Aimware (okay rage and good legit cheat) has been detected a few times and EVERYONE who used it at the point it got detected got added to a ban wave.
Valve really needs to patch exploits like Rapid fire (allows you to fire the entire mag without delay) and No Spread (Removes the spread of the gun from movement).
They are the main reason why 1 Cheater can easily beat 5 legits always.
I played faceit for months with no problems, I tried mm yesterday and got 2 cheaters in 3 games
then keep playing on faceit makes more sense
I have little faith whatever action valve takes to remedy this, if one at all. Can reganomically make its way down to the funny hat game.
CS2 is weird, i believe basic handle hijacking allows you to hook into the game without any detections (no driver needed), and you can freely read and write memory to the game.
Something strange i noticed when I was testing rage cheating is that I somehow started to only get into games with other cheaters, ONLY OTHER CHEATERS.
Im not sure if its some detection which lowers trust factor, or if its from reports.
Though as soon as i get commended once I'm straight back into normalish lobbies without other cheaters...

Valve has never had a handle on cheaters. Right now cheating is as bad as its ever been across all games. Cheat subscriptions are a literal whole industry now. I do not think with their track record and stubbornness Valve is capable of addressing this properly.

the second method of using a spray was probably removed because it wasn't working (for most people at least?) since the beta and I guess they just gave up on it instead of fixing it. sad, i liked it better

Thing with valve is, they have always been silent. They like to take time to work on things without saying much. However it doesn't help that they aren't that big of a team, so it will take time.
When I started this game I was 16 years old and now I am 30 years old and I must say that in all these years valve only sold us the dream of anti-cheat, and it will be the same from now on.
So it's enough, I won't be deceived anymore.

Valve is NEVER going to take anti-cheat real. This game has always had an issue with cheating, but if we really start looking at it from 1.5/1.6 to present, it's only gotten worse. It's gone from a "problem", to a straight up epidemic. Valve simply doesn't "care". Why? Because people keep buying it, people keep playing it, and, more specifically and importantly, they keep buying skins. It's also why CoD is still alive and making money; if a company can just keep the status quo with very little investment and make tons and tons of money, why do more? So in essence Valve has said with their actions "Shut up and buy our skins, nerd", and the community has happily complied for YEARS with zero signs of stopping.

You can not defend Valve being radio silent about their updates. They could just release a forum post and tell us that they are working on an anti-cheat and most would be happy to wait, but they tell us nothing and there is no sign that they are working on anything at all. The release of CS2 removed a ton of features from CSGO and it feels as if they began from square 1 again as an alpha game and the state of the game is not defendable. CS2 should still have been in beta, they could have gathered data from cheaters without this crazy cheater infection in their live game. Having 2 games live at the same time could also let them compare cheats and see which engine is the easiest to notice cheats at, but they rushed CS2 and now it is infected by a ton of cheaters. Valve could also tell us if they are working on some operation to let us know that something is going on, but they are not connected to the community that makes them filthy rich and it is just sad to see that they just grab our money and ignore the playerbase.
