Would be pretty cool if valve could just ban all the extremely obvious bots in team fortress 2. A valve employee could literally just play tf2, spot the bots and ban them in real time.
yes but they are (from what i know) very cheap to maintain so probably making a new account, downloading tf2 and cheating software would be pretty much very easy to do
I said this months back and ill say it again. Im choosing to trust the process. CS is my favorite game of all time and the fact that Valve is still working on polishing the experience has me thrilled.
You are huffing copium . It’s been 10 years of valve polishing. Csgo was infested with cheats . Faceit made the game playable . Valve doesn’t want to give 128 tick , faceit did. Now valve is forcing subtick in half assed game that’s filled with cheats and you die behind walls after peeking . But sure trust in the process . For me it’s only been going downhill since 2014 and faceit was a temporary band aid until valve decided to reveal the wound
@@Thrall966 I dunno, I found the game very playable. Played it for years and never once touched faceit. I also feel like a lot of people who talk about 128 tick servers don't actually understand why they're supposed to be better, and why they aren't widely used in games. Apex runs at 20 ticks and it's entirely playable. It's low enough that it can cause some issues, sure, but 60 is more than fine, and subtick is honestly a really good system from what I've seen and experienced.
It's cat and mouse, but eventually it will be so hard to do it and so expensive because of it will fade away, but for this to happen, there needs to be a strong and persistent effort to end cheating.
0:34 Either the CT is cheating and is just messing with the guy, or he is a 5Head 900IQ player messing with him like this lmfao proving he's cheating. Honestly, AI is absolutely the way we can beat cheating. We can have an AI either watch games at an extremely high speed and find the more blatant cheaters very quickly, or hell I wonder if they can hide an AI to watch the client side to detect anyone who is able to use walls. So much could be done with AI and I can't wait for it to finally fix our issues (or take over the world, you know....that's fine too the world is kind of bad with how terrible people are, especially when they believe they're right because they watched a video online the support their views and 10k others agreed with them....but another problem for another day, cheating takes priority here).
Lmao just left a CS2 lobby with a blatant wall hack / aimbotter in rage mode just griefing the server, the T side wouldn't vote kick the cheater, so as CT we had to keep voting map changes so they wouldn't get xp. After 3 map resets the cheater left.
Lol since two month i get vac disconnected annonying AF something blocking vac blablabla . Seem like valve doesn't like player with high DPI. I have zero ban by the way only disconnect.
AI has deleted billions of reviews on Google Maps which is called over blocking. So if Valve starts using AI to detect cheaters, many players that don't cheat will be affected...

Absolute copium to the point of being shilling for Valve. You can still predict top fraggers with 85% accuracy atleast by looking at which account has the least hours. And I get at least 1 spinbot every 15ish game.
Still don't get why people cheat in this game. Where's the fun in that? I can get trolling or even account selling, but c'mon ... Go bot an MMO like OSRS for a better Return on Investment lol.
These cheaters buy cheats from some website. They won't know how to program anything. Heck, most of them actually suck at using the cheats they bought.
No, what valve actually did was lead people into a false pretense that they werent doing anything. What they did is allow cheaters time to show them how/what they were doing. Its not like they "left a game to die" like everyone keeps jumping on. Its called patience.. and not a lot of you have it. Even this youtuber it seems.
nah its still shit, till you allow people to have free profile & 0 level profiles. You'll find the cheaters, also make the game expensive so new accounts can't be made. Getting banned on 0 level profile does not matter.
I really want to see CS2 succeed, since I actually enjoy it, not more than CS:GO for sure, but it is fun to play. These updates Valve has been doing give me hope that CS2 won't get the TF2 treatment, at least not yet

@@3kliksphilip I completely agree that some people will definitely grift and claim they are innocent (they already are as you mentioned). AI models are inherently probabilistic, so there is no model without some percentage of false positives, this is why it is more tricky than it sounds. Your video and reply to my comment assumes the necessity of good customer assistance to accompany those methods. Sadly, this is not always the case, a prime example being bans on social media platforms where they rely exclusively on those models to cut on costs. Yup. People actually think they did something about cheaters while in reality they added a few server side checks. It's actually funny how Valve does the bare minimum and people think we are saved.
People think it ends with ring-0 ACs, but as cheaters are moving away from software, so too will ACs and require cameras or other specific AC-approved hardware to play certain games. Kinda like how HDCP, but for gaming. I'm glad Valve doesn't follow this, no doubt an AI is going to hallucinate sometimes, but kernel-level ACs are also doing that. As long as those people get unbanned relatively quickly it's not a huge problem. And obviously they wouldn't go kernel-level because of Linux (although I wouldn't be entirely against a black-box Valve-built kernel _specifically_ for high-level esport gaming, because on Linux you can actually switch kernels)

Most accounts being banned being from 3 years ago makes sense. That's when operation riptide happened and many people used bots to farm accounts with prime status and also to farm cases from the opoeration at the same time.
I feel like Valve is going to use this data to bring bots back when someone leaves or gets kicked and is being assigned a trained ai from the average skill group that is on the match, if that is even possible. Wouldn't make bots this useless.
@@twanheijkoop6753 potentially yeah. I think it would still incentivize toxic people to troll teammates into leaving on their own anyway. The toxic do ruin everything for the rest of us
one thing that people don't understand about cheaters is that people assume they always cheat, but in reality they could turn cheats on only like every 5th game, and out of those games only every 3th would have any serious blatant cheats, the rest would just be help and program assist. also ban waves have a problem, someone might've downloaded a cheat, and would be using it for months already, and then they randomly get banned. They'd feel like there's much less conection and the problem is that the wave happened ranomly, not that they could instant punishment for what they did.
In TF2, for some time now, cheaters started wearing their expensive/unusual gear because they know they won't get banned. Let's hope Valve fixes not only CS2. Also: I'd love for them to distribute the locked inventories - Robin Hood style.
Making a kernel anti cheat is just escalating the cat amd mouse game. You get unreasonable access to player's PC while cheating is still very much possible. I can only imagine that down the road this escalation will lead to sending an employee to your house IRL to monitor you while playing

After 3 map resets the cheater left.

with AI there is also the issue of false positives, how do you prove you didn't cheat in such cases?
Firstly, are you REALLY sure you've been incorrectly banned? Last time I saw this happened valve called him out for genuinely cheating and he was like 'ah it was worth a try'. Secondly, if you have actually been falsely banned then contact valve and they will reverse it if it was a false positive.
All in all, I agree that AI tools can help improve VAC contrary to kernel nuclear solutions, what I just wanted to point out is that maybe the AI should be one of the 'experts' amongside other detection algorithms, I hope that it does not end up the main detection tool. Kinda like how HDCP, but for gaming.
I'm glad Valve doesn't follow this, no doubt an AI is going to hallucinate sometimes, but kernel-level ACs are also doing that. As long as those people get unbanned relatively quickly it's not a huge problem.
