I've seen a few lessons of most, if not all, of the driving instruction videos on UA-cam and this channel is the best--hands down, bar none. The difference is that the instructions here are clear and to the point. No endless, mind-numbing rambling, distracting hand gestures or complicated explanations. The explanations and analogies are easy to understand, thereby making it fun and easy to learn. The voice is warm and pleasant, not harsh, and I can imagine it would be cool for a rap video.
I cleared my driving test recently and your videos were a very important part of the learning. Thank you! I keep coming back to see if there is a new video.... because there is always something to learn. Would you like to do some videos on the basic maintenance and/or driving in the snow etc...? Again, thank you.
Please make some video on changing route....I get always confused specially in Montreal on 40 West highway....when I use Google map I always take wrong turn...when I see screen it's difficult to concentrate..Because so many road signs ahead...Thanks

This is critical information especially in the summer when people are out and about everywhere. In the winter I rarely encounter pedestrians here in Wisconsin. Helps that our cities arent too populated. Anyways no matter how long a person has been driving there is always something to learn!
Can you make more videos on defensive driving and vision in driving. Looking at mirrors, not staring to one thing too much, just in general, trying to be a safer driver. I got my license, but im still a new driver and I think we all could benefit from being much safer on the road
great video. would love a bit of an explanation on what to do when there are jaywalkers. ive been told that you must slow down if they are about to go across the road or if they are already crossing but ive been told that its a good idea to honk as well as a warning and also to let drivers behind you know that there's something going on.
Obviously you're not going to ram them only because it's not their priority. So slow down or stop if needed. I might talk about that in the next video.

What if the pedestrian is in a parking lot and there's so far away that you couldn't possibly hit them and you're owner electric scooter do you have to stop?
Crossing the street in your country is too easy, in my country you would have to look at both sides at the same time and run and stop like frog crossing, and you should trust the drivers that would stop, if they were on there phone you will get a free ride to the hospital
Not necessarily no. People use that when they want to stop in situations where you're not expecting them to stop. Like when double parking. If you do that at a pedestrian crossing, they might think you'll stop premanently and overtake. And if they didn't see the pedestrian, that could be very dangerous.

as a driver I think it is quite annoying to see pedestrians just cross without looking at all I will not argue if they have right of way that is not even the point. It is important to make sure you are seen as well Also noticed that many drivers need to learn this stuff in the video too. I seen drivers in to much of a hurry to yield to pedestrians

In California pedestrians at any intersection have the right of way even with no painted crosswalk. So many drivers don't know basic driving rules.looks like pedestrians also have the right of way in intersections with unpainted crosswalks in Canada in most provinces including Quebec. I looked it up.
Pedestrians have priority only if the vehicles in the perpendicular axe have any traffic signals (a red light or a stop sign). If a pedestrian is waiting to cross the street at an intersecion where the vehicle coming from a perpendicular axis doesn't have a stop, the pedestrian doesn't have priority. If the vehicle does have a stop, then the pedestrian does have priority, lines or not.
California Vehicle Code 21950(a) The driver of a vehicle shall yield the right-of-way to a pedestrian crossing the roadway within any marked crosswalk or within any unmarked crosswalk at an intersection, except as otherwise provided in this chapter. Almost every American state has the same law. I am surprised Quebec does not.
At 07:19 I noticed the green light flashing. What does this mean? Here in Europe ( Austria) the green light is flashing four times before changing to amber. Does it have the same meaning in Canada too?
Yes. It happens all the time. Sometimes they turn completely, sometimes they don't but they advance to the point of blocking the pedestrian's corridor. It's illegal, but it happens all the time. I did a short about that that will be published in about two weeks.
USA and Canada have very similar laws/rules/traffic panels/road design and so on. Actually, it's the provinces in Canada that establish the driving laws, and in the US it's the states, but they're very similar.

An a*** behind me honked at me while driving very fast, I guess he tried to turn to the right too but he saw that I stopped instead of turning to the right, he decided to change lines, honk and yell at me. XD What could you do on that situation? I gave the priority to the pedestrian. Am I right?
You have to give priority to the pedestrian, so you did the right thing. Maybe they didn't see the pedestrian in front, since your vehicle was hiding it, your maybe they're just pure a*****les. There will always be a*****les on the road. Unfortunately.

Not necessarily no. People use that when they want to stop in situations where you're not expecting them to stop. Like when double parking. A flashing green light means priority to turn left here.
