Glad you're back!` I like the fact that you show us the more inexpensive planes. Very entertaining!
I want to show you guys what I like ;) I want more expensive planes too, but I get questions all the time from newer pilots asking for help picking an entry level aircraft.
Hi Brian, Happy Fathers Day. Wow little time consuming to put that little thing together. To windy for it. Good to see you’re back at it. Although I miss the house build, But kinda like this BETTER. See ya
Thanks Danny! It was crazy, as about 20 minutes after we filmed a shelf cloud came through bringing like 60+MPH winds!!! It was crazy! Glad we filmed when we did, but will get a better flight video soon ;) This and the A380 too!!
Hello, cool plane. Have a happy father's day. Just having fun RC'n.
Thanks Brian.. that was a brill informative video/review... i recon for the price and fun flying value. it's worth that bit extra work in regards the build ect.. your input is so appreciated. I've learnt loads from your fab postings... thank you again..kind regards Dave...
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching, and YES, this plane is a beauty, and flies quite well given it's cheap. I wish they'd use CLEAR props ;)
Great video! From the box to the air! Keep the videos coming!
Thanks Dan! I'm glad you appreciate the "whole" part of this video. I find it disingenuous to show a review of a plane only after it's "all done" and ready to fly, which leaves out so much of the frustration factor. When I decide to buy, I like to know what type of time I'll waste putting it together and how much of a pain in the butt I should expect before the fun of flying it :)
Thanks for watching!
Happy Fathers day Brian... Glad you're back in vid mode... :)
I'm in Video mode "light" :) More coming soon!!!
Great demonstration. Good to know it can fly in some wind. I tested my foam safe glue on the box foam not the plane. I also was fooled by the mechanicals being hidden in the underside of the packaging.
The foam from the box is a different style of foam, FYI, but good idea - it the "Foam safe stuff" doesn't melt the packaging, you're plane will more than likely survive :)
Good evening sir! Many thanks for the review! We have already communicated with you before! Exactly the same Boeing 787 I'm building now! We will see later how it will show itself in flight! As always, good luck to you!
Thanks!
Thanks for the video now I know what to expect, and what glue to purchase. Just received in the mail today it was supposed to be a month out I guess Asia customs just decided to approve shipping and not delay as they normally do, even my sail I ordered for my boat arrived early like 2 days ago so I can actually get a chance to try it before I pull my boat out for winter. This is my first RC plane so the build tutorial was informative .
I'm so glad it helped you out! Don't get discouraged if you have some trouble with it at first. Flying RC planes is actually pretty tough at first, but if you stick with it, and get some help early on, you'll be flying in no time (a few months for most people really getting serious.
If you need help, I can help you here too ;) Good luck!
Great video Brian! The house is looking sweet!
Thanks! We're just getting close to where we can actually LIVE here...that being said, still SOOOO much to do, it's been a real struggle to work in UA-cam activities, despite my strong desire to do so...
Thanks man, I just watched your video and put my kids plane together, it was a big help.
Glad I could help - This plane is a blast, but make sure it's CALM when you or they fly them...they are super fun, but they don't do great in wind.
Good video Brian happy Father's Day..👍👍
Thanks Brian!
I figured out the decal issue after ruining both. 1. take off the clear sheet. the decal is an adhesive tape type. 2.trim the blue paper around the decal a bit. 3. stick it on the plane so the decal adheres to the fuselage . 4 when adhered, wet the blue paper with hot water and the paper will separate. I never saw this before after 60 yrs of model building. Also install the wing wheels with the hubs pointed outwards. BTW I love your videos
Thank you Richard! I thought maybe I had lost my mind as well with these reverse, backward decals - LOL ;)
Hi Brian Hello from Tasmania you looked like you were having a blast with that, in the windy conditions
Dug min out today, thought the motors had failed, the propellers were the wrong way round! My decal has fallen of, Don't attach the engines, thy fell of away! Good Video
Did you get her fixed up?
@@BrianPhillipsRC Yeah she flys beautifully now!
Bought this for my 7 year old son this xmas, he was SOOOO excited when he unwrapped it.
Awesome! Make sure you fly on a super calm day!!!
I have this plane and the way the Boeing decal was placed should of been this way:
First: Peel off the clear film on the back
Second: Place the decal w/ the Boeing design perfectly aligned on the plane, the decal will hold on the plane b/c the decal has some tack on it.
Third: Moisten the paper backing and then after 20-30 seconds, peel off the paper backing and the decal will be adhered on the plane nice and neat.
Fourth: Gently dry decal of any excess moisture on/near it.
Thanks for your clarification...I should have known better! I'll do it this way next time. No wonder the decals wouldn't peel with water application....
Bought this plane because of your video Mr Phillips....love this l'il plane👍👍
I hope you love it! It's so much fun!!!
Glad you're back.
Thanks Raymond!!!
P.S. My Dad and I were talking about you, and your "care package". Did you mail it?
Brian Phillips No, had a problem with the Buick, gonna have to replace it. Got the pkg ready to go, just not able to walk 2 miles to the UPS store. Do you have a pop riveting gun? I was thinking of including mine in the pkg. I'm not likely to use it again. Clecoes, too.
I have an el cheapo rivet gun, but not a proper tool.
What happened to the Buick???
@@BrianPhillipsRC LOL! My daughter-in-law happened to the Buick. Not sure what she did, but it refuses to even start now. It was past time to replace it anyway. It's a 2002 model with about 97K miles. Been thinking about the British two-place sports cars I drove when I was young. Triumph Spitfire, Austin-Healey Sprite, Jaguar XKE, that group. Loved those things. Not sure what's out there these days, but am gonna look around.
I hope you find something you love! I had a 2000 Bonneville SLE, and it was a GREAT car! Kinda reminded me of your Buick, only I GOT mine with 99,000 miles on it :) LOL I drove it till the transmission went bye-bye.
Yeah B, she's a cool looking micro airliner. Just love the airliner side of RC 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I agree! I thought I'd hate the look with those ugly motors out the back, but when you're flying around, they almost disappear, which is super cool!
I bought this plane because of u and out of all my planes this one is one of my favorite
Awesome Ed! It's a keeper :) There's so many more that you need - I can tell!!!
Thank you.
A bit of FEEDBACK for your videos....The perfect lighting & against the background in which u present the product, perfect environment that u fly in & the comparisons with the product's peers makes the product really alluring .....reminds me of the Jang's RC mania, Ultimate RC & Jangbricks channel videos that orginally lured me into the hobby...In this place though u need a bit more light with yellow hue to make this place feel homely
I agree! We will struggle to control the saturation during the day, as you can see there aren't window coverings (except for the front door and sidelights), so that might be part of what you're seeing.
As for outside...one of my draws here to the property was the near 360 degree treeline, which gives a backdrop for good visibility for flights. Also, and you haven't seen it yet, we have another 4.5 acres in the back for flying, which actually overlooks my house and the "front" 3.75ish acres....which is wrapped by the trees. This "rear" part of the property will help to facilitate flights with much larger planes (up to FULL scale, if all goes as planned).
Thanks for the feedback, and for watching!!! We're always trying to get things more and more refined, but striking a balance between making it just too much a pain in the butt to film, and getting things to look, sound, and feel right ;) I'm sure you can appreciate where we're coming from.
Ya I can understand.. takes a little while for things to fall in place as u move to new house... Plz do share your entire progression towards full scale flight ...We the audiance look forward to experiencing all that !
I'll keep you up to date toward that end, but that will not be a fast thing.
I'm so excited to get back into a routine of UA-cam ruling my life - LOL, JK - but really, It's nice to have a house setup in such a way that I can be extra efficient in my efforts. My wife is also working hard to get stuff into a similar condition, but it's just taking FOR-EV-ER ;)
I got one because of this video, it really flies very good, abselute 5 star review,
Or tho Im a beginner in RC flier
Hi Brian, after seeing your review I purchased this & the A380. That B787 is the best of the bunch. I eventually replaced both motors with syma x5 spares & replaced the props with the type used on the JJRC 1000 quadcopter. Had to drill through them so I could mount them as pushers though. The QF-008 B787 runs on the V900S protocol so if you have an updated multi-protocol 4in1 module you can fly with a nice hobby-grade transmitter as well. Oh, that's right, you're a Spectrum man😁
V900S - THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Gonna try it NOW!
So, I just went through ALL the protocols on my T8SG Plus, Jumper, but can't find this particular protocol. Do I need to download something somewhere? I would be thrilled to get this transmitter working with my little airliners, since they SCREAM for better control, and they'd be so much better to fly.
Please help me out - seems like you have a clue of what I need to do...this is definitely out of my area of expertise.
I ruined 2 iRangex IRX4 4in1 modules trying to update them but the 4in1 module that was in my new Jumper t16 has it. It definately improves the control and smoothness on these wltoys jets. I got the best results with the B787 since you can trim the elevator. BTW, the motor shafts on the syma 720 motors are larger than the originals. I decided rather than drilling the old props our I added the jjrc 1000 props, they work perfect! Is it worth buying a new Jumper? Maybe you can upgrade the firmware on you old jumper and achieve the same results.
Yikes!!! The protocol is V911S. You probable don't have it on your "old & decrepit"Jumper in anycase. Sorry for the confusion.
I DO have V911S, and my "old and decrepit" T8SG Plus is about a month old ;) Also, I have updated the firmware...
Any idea why it doesn't work for me??? It's kinda killing me!!! I really want them to work
that landing gear looks authentic 😄
LOL - the landings are the worst part of these little guys....but they are very fun in dead calm weather.
Btw make sure you motor plug is in the correct slot mine was backward which red plug is where black and white plug go and red plug go with white on board lol.....mine want to do circle on roll .
WOW! I bet it was fun to watch at least :)
Did it survive?
@@BrianPhillipsRC please try your XK transmitter with you 787
Already did it :) Posting the video tomorrow! Thanks!
@@BrianPhillipsRC please give me shot out lol.
What do you want me to shout out?
Happy fathers day, I had to fast forward to the flight review, to small for me and to wonky of flight envelope, you should get a Rochobby SWIFT, did the maiden on mine today, omg, its a rocket, probably 90 mph+ but very predictable hand launch and flies very easy, the secret is to use very small throws and 40 % expo, I bought mine last week from Horizon Hobbies, Ryan and Mike, from Motion RC do a very good flight review on it, your wife always excels on the camera work, in your next video, you should put her on camera, just to say hello and meet the brains behind this wonderful channel
I don't disagree ;) BUT, I'm a sucker for commercial airliners...I NEED a good one!!!
@@BrianPhillipsRC They are pretty cool and very scale, maybe find a indoor flying sight for them....
this is the first rc plane i got, so glad i got it, i love it personally, the one i got didnt need glue though, it used screws
Hi Brian greetings from the uk 🇬🇧 good helpful advise as always...just wanted to ask is their any way
Of preventing lipo battery’s from discharging and basically ending up being ruined when they haven’t been used for a long time....thank you for the video..best wishes Chris.
It doesnt look scale...lolz
Am impressed it did not split up in foam pieces w all that tossing and shaking
It really made me laugh, thats one of the reason I like those Banggood toys, oh man... ja ja
What does "look scale" mean?
The plane is a SCALE LOOKING plane when it looks like the real thing. It refers to the SCALE appearance. Scale meaning it's a SCALE replica. The word SCALE, in this use, speaks to the length of the wings, the dimensions of the windows, the size of the engine nacelles. This is what SCALE means.
Hope this helps Nicholas.
Thx for the great video. I’m hoping as a first time flyer I have a day of 0 wind for flight..
Good luck! Definitely, do it in calm conditions for best chance at success!
@@BrianPhillipsRC mine only came with 1 battery. Should I be able to find a good 2nd battery on Amazon or is there better places to look? Will it have the same connection or will I need to modify it? I hope not
I wonder how hard it’d be to hollow out them engines and toss in tiny ducted fans and add ailerons and flaps and rudder and lights. I actually like the Boing better than the Airbus.
Definitely a great video!! Question from a 1st time rc plane builder then attempted flyer. It seems to me the landing that plane in the grass with those small wheels would always break the landing gear. I’m not sure I have much asphalt or concrete to land on where I plan to fly. Can I glue foam rails to the bottom of the plane and remove the landing gear and land in the grass on rails?? Would it add too much weight?? Thx for your help
You can land it in the grass and won't break ANYTHING ;) It's so light and slow. Give it a try, unless you have lots of rocks and the sort...you'll be fine ;)
You should get a deviation capable transmitter.Although maybe these days there is module for spektrum that has deviation on it (?) so you can fly them with better transmitter.
I wonder if anylink would cover that protocol?
@@BrianPhillipsRC google it on Deviation forum they list all the protocols and also if somebody has asked for it. This trademark, XK company is the old WLtoys one, and many of those have being figured out. Did you try with the helicopter transmitters of the same brand?
@@BrianPhillipsRC Oh I thought it was an XK or Wltoys one.
I thought so too, but I guess it's a "no-name" ???? It's gotta be made in the same factory.
Nope, but that's because they're Futaba FASS...if I recall correctly. Would be pretty cool to have the adjustability , and trim!
Nice
Thanks! Great little plane, check the description if you'd like to buy one for yourself ;)
Brian Phillips ok I will
Happy fellow dads day.
Yeah, you too Keith - Happy Father's Day! Hope you got to play some today ;)
Do you think I could make a custom landing gear? Just something more durable for landings. Or would it be too heavy?
Hard to do it without getting too heavy, but give it a try!
Hi brian ...you know can bind your xk transmitter from your a380 plane with the 787 plane please check out i hate the transmitter that come with 787
yes, and I've done it too :)
Wow watching this plane fly got me dizzy. I would have tried to set it dwn in some grass.
Did you add the MCAS on this plane? It's not stable on pitch control.
Idiot
Hey, if this is a scaled model, the original model would be the 787-8/9? Any idea what's the scale?
I thought they said something like 1:50....but not 100% sure
Hi Brian P
Good work spending 1hour to show us how to assemble it, I got the one but don't have glue, first I decided to use any glue to stick it then someone told me it's foam plane u gotta get a foam glue, can u please provide anylink from banggod or AliExpress about foam glue that is specially made for assembling such foam planes.
Thanks :)
Because of the type of foam, EPO, "regular" CA is generally safe to use on THIS model. Some foams made of EPS would melt if you tried using "regular" CA, so make sure you test it first, in an inconspicuous area to be 100% sure before you ruin the plane. If it's going to react poorly, it will happen RIGHT AWAY!!!!!
I searched for a link to similar CA products from Banggood, but I haven't personally used these, so make sure you try them in an inconspicuous place...
usa.banggood.com/custlink/m3m35BTsAf
I'm struggling to find a foam safe CA, so not sure what to tell you regarding an item from Banggood.com for that...
Below is like Mucilage, another GREAT choice for most all types of foam, but a little bit heavier...
usa.banggood.com/custlink/3KmvP47AbU
@@BrianPhillipsRC - I used simple CA glue from dollar store...and on all my planes...I've never had a problem. Hot glue works as well but far heavier than CA...good luck!
hello can you tell me Jumper T8SG Lite Multi-Protocol 12CH S-FHSS DeviationTX da to bind with this plane?
I need you to tell me!!! I can't get mine to work either - so bummed too! That was one of the main reasons for my getting the Jumper T8SG!!!!
I had a guy offer a suggestion, but that didn't work either. If I DO figure it out, I WILL share a video ASAP...but regrettably, I don't see that happening soon. I'm sorry!
Hello After two positions the control pilot stopped working. Does not detect transport. After switching on the LED is off. Led only lights up as long as I keep the button turned on.
Have you tried to make sure the lipo is fully charged? That's where I'd start. If the Lipo is LOW, it may not bind. Can you try another lipo???
I will check again. But I think the error is in the control
what is the 2 empty blue port for???
I think they're used for ailerons, but they might not be programmed in this instance.
Hello Brian😁😁😁🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻
Master, hello ;)
@@BrianPhillipsRC 😉😉😉🍻🍻
Hey Brian, Why Didn't You Just Scotch Tape On The Decals? Hmmm... Thanks
They wouldn't release to save my life!!! I was super annoyed!!!!!!!
@@BrianPhillipsRC I Seen That! LOL
I think those are peel and stick decals not waterslide.
Nope, I was just doing it wrong, and being impatient :(.... I guess I'll just have to live with my "friendship" "Boying" labels - LOL
one question is it easy to fly
It is not "hard to fly", but it's unwieldy. If you already know how to fly an RC airplane, you would be fine flying it, but it's just wonky enough that I couldn't in good conscience say that it's "easy to fly"...
I know you were hoping for a yes, or no...LOL
Is it possible that these models cannot be ordered out of Hong Kong at the time due to "Corona Virus-contagiousness"?
I think it's an impact, since transportation is slowed down, and also just coming off Chinese New Year, there's a few reasons, but some of these items are in the US warehouses (already), so maybe pick one that's super similar, but available here stateside??? These little airliners are awesome though....
@@BrianPhillipsRC Wow, thank you for your quick answer and support.
Just a guess, but you're welcome ;)
@@BrianPhillipsRC Thank you! Well for my birthday I got a drone and I´m waiting for the right weather conditions for this bad boy to fly!
what glue is it
Can you time stamp where you asked, so I can answer?
Can I safely charge a cheap battery like that with my computer
You can use the USB port on your computer, provided you have enough power on your computer.
Just try it out.
What is price of this airplane
Please check my description, and you can see what the link shows you for pricing.
Here's an excerpt from the description...

Can i order it and send to indonesia?
Check the link in the description. You should be able to ship to Indonesia from Banggood.
Ok thanks
It's made for grass landings
LOL
HELP ME THE ELEVATOR NOT WORKING YYY
Yes answer plz
I'm not sure what to tell you....try to move the stick, is there a buzz? Does it sound like it's trying to move, but the linkage going out the end of the plane is stuck on something, like some glue, or did the linkage get bent in the tube and causing it to bind as it tries to move? Is the Transmitter working??? Can you switch the servo from one channel to another and see if the problem follows the lack of response? Can you try using another transmitter from a similar plane?
안녕하새요.🐅🐷🐅🦄🦓🐅
Hi! 🐅🐷🐅🦄🦓🐅
Anyone has painted this thing in another colors?
I bet it would be pretty cool, but it's soooo light, so better be careful about how much weight is added.
@@BrianPhillipsRC yeah! I order one but really want to painted in Lufthansa colors since is the most simple, dont really like the stock color too much!
I understand your concern. Should be easy to remove the decals, if you go that route.
@@BrianPhillipsRC yeah Brian, anyway thanks for the answers, i enjoyed the review of both The A380 and the 787, i even order both 😅 really awesome rc planes! Can't wait for mine to arrive
They are very fun - tomorrow I may encourage your wallet to loose some more weight - LOL ;) You'll see!!!
Brian, check your IG account, I sent you a messege about this airliner there 😊
I will do that... BUT wait, what's your name there???
Oh sorry! @snejr😄 lots of car stuff on my page, but I’m a bit into this stuff to 😊
Can I have one
You can order one for yourself, if you follow the links in the description. They're very economical, and RTF, all you have to add is 4 "AA" batteries for the controller, and AC power via a USB Charger to charge the included lipo.

it is not good I have boeing 787-8
Why?!??!? It's super fun! I want better too, but for what it is, I love this little plane!
they were lazy because none of it was built
LOL - I think they were trying to make it cheaper to bring to market. Cost sells, in this price point, but I really like this plane ;) I'd love some more controllability, but it's still such a looker :)
