    This $40 RC Smart Jet Micro Boeing 787 blew our minds. We had the lowest of low expectations for this rc airplane, but the performance really impressed us. It was so easy to fly, that I was hands free most of the flight. This is actually on sale right now! We think everyone will be happy to have this RC jet in their collection!

    After watching your review, I ordered the WF008. My first time flying an RC airplane. Very easy to fly!!! In high rate with a little wind it will do a roll. Much different than quads, but this one was still an easy transition.

    That was a really decent flyer, with good air time. The engines looked like they would cause some drag. Abby when Nate said Amelia was behind you in the grass, THAT was your cue to pan around to get a shot of the cutie pie. You didn't 🥺🥺😢😢. Great review. 🤗🤗..

    Thanks so much for the quick reply and info. I actually tried something different from that…and it worked. I watched several more videos, and in a couple I actually saw the person turn on the airplane first, and then the transmitter! Backwards huh? And guess what…the binding worked when I did that! So, for now at least, the problem is solved. You guys keep the great videos coming. I’m not a car/truck/boat guy, but I love your channel! Be safe…fly often, and ALWAYS thanks for the help!!!

    If you have an updated multi-protocol radio you can fly the B787 using protocol V911s. The plane flies much smoother, you can trim the elevator, add lower rates, and enjoy it using your hobbygrade transmitter too. Give it a try!
    BTW, this protocol you can also fly the A150/A380 airbus.

    I've been flying quads since December 2015 and have been considering a beginner plane for several months. This would be an inexpensive way to test the my interest. FYI, high rate turns off pitch stabilization and allows it to do loops. Thanks for the service you guys provide to the hobby!

  • @xMRPx

    Wow! R/C planes have come along way since the late '70's. Never would I have believed that there'd be a button for auto landing, return home, auto stabilization, FPV or even an entire plane with radio for less than $100!
    My first plane I built was a free flight, rubber band powered Guillow's C-170. Talk about hard with all those little pieces! I used tissue paper and dope to finish it. But nuts to free flight, I wanted control over what I'd painstaking built! Next was a "Wanderer", similar to a "Gentle Lady", using a "high start" to launch it and Monokote for covering it. I still have my first iron I bought for the Monkote and it still works! The radio was a Heath Kit with servos the size of a stick of butter! It went up... and came down, forget about catching any thermals with a 10lb radio onboard!
    Eventually I moved into powered flight and had a few Falcon 56's. The only engine I could afford was a Fox .35 control line motor with no throttle! I had to wait for it to run out of fuel before I could land OR slow down! I finally made a rigid pick up line in the fuel tank so that I could starve the motor of fuel by flying inverted, then land dead stick. Primitive, but it worked. By the time I was 16yo I was racing Glen Spickler's design Q500's with a K&B 6.5cc rear exhaust. Ha! Just the kit alone was about $40 back then! After crashing about 6 of them in one year I finally stopped racing and started flying them recreationally. Racing was a good way to get an endorphine rush! It just got too expensive (for my parents) to end up picking up pieces of plane and demolished motors and radios spread across the field. I still have my last one though, complete with a 6.5cc and a Kraft radio on 72Mhz. It's been collecting dust for about 35 years now. Nowadays I play with mainly 1/4 scale and one full scale.
    It's amazing what the Chinese are assembling today and so affordable, too! There should be no excuse for more kids not to get involved in this hobby. The problem is getting them away from the game console and outdoors where the wind can blow the dust out of their hair! ;)
    As always, an informative and entertaining video and again, kudos to Abbey for the excellent videography! Those little planes are hard to keep an eye on through a camera lense.... Or is that all automatic now too? 😁

  • @stevenbolam
    @stevenbolam 4 роки тому

    Just finished assembly and a quick test flight , I'm impressed . Put the " engines " on ( no gear ) and it flies better than Nate's no engines set up , cut the throttle and the stabilization glides it to a smooth landing . 🇦🇺😁

    Great video, but we need to see more of the Taranis!!! A Tech Sgt. I raised from an Airman stopped by the other day and I had to help him with his Qx7. He is more technical than I am, the Air Force flies him around the world when they need wrenches turned and he understands electronics and software. BUT he's a dad and always saving an airplane somewhere so he has little time. He was unaware of all the toy grade quads he could bind. So do it for your country man :D

      When brushless foam planes came out like 8 years ago it opened a Huge market to people like me learning to fly. My first trainer actually was a electric wooden trainer made by Great Planes. The plane was probably one of the first electric planes with a huge can brushed motor and the heaviest nimh battery stick that could barely lift off. The foam planes these days can take a beating and you can easily fix them in the field never throw them out! Plus you can modify them as well.

    • @xMRPx
      @xMRPx 4 роки тому

      @Rikki Topp
      Yup, I remember those days as well. If you wanted to fly, you had to buy a lot of T-pins and put some time and effort in building one! Then came the ARF's. I thought they were too heavy and just not as nice looking, plus I felt like I would be cheating! ;) The greatest thing I remember was being introduced to "Hot Stuff" instant glue and Monokote! I hated tissue paper and dope. Monokote didn't stink nearly as bad as dope and gave a beautiful finish too! Ah, nostalgia... it's nice to look back in time, but it also sucks knowing those moments won't be repeated.

    Just got one of these today and my grandson didn't want to fly it so he got to enjoy watching me crash it twice, FYI I never flew a RC plane before, and will admit I'm terrible at it. But at 38 bucks and it still is ready for more crashes after the glue dries it's not a bad deal.

    I started watching your channel a month or 2 ago, but I've never flown an RC plane before. I like your reviews and how you try models of different price points (especially on a super low budget). I followed your link and bit the bullet on this plane last night. I'm excited to try it out. I was thinking of painting it like Airforce One. Do you think that would add too much weight?

    Great video, but I'm not as surprised as you. I learned to fly on a Hobbyzone Champ. Crashed it A LOT, repaired it with whatever, modified it seat of the pants. It didn't care, it just flew. Just one of those planes.

    Impressive little plane. I wonder if you could take the, "turbines," hollow them out, and make it a ducted fan. Looks good, and great price. I could see flying this around a park.

    That is very good looking! Were you scared that an actual plane would fly over and Abbey would start following that one? 😁 I imagine with the accessories on, it would look great!

    Surprising! a 40$ dollar jet that fly's that good! Hey also i would recommend reviewing the Volantex V761-1 Firstar Mini, you can get it on banggood for 50$ RTF.

    Absolutely put that on my wish list. Nate, looking at description on banggood it says that it has a button for "big rudder and little rudder" to be able to perform tricks. Think one of the buttons on top actually do that? might be something you'll have to check while its in the air. Just thought you should know what i read.
