QF008 Boeing 787 3 Channel RC Flying Scale Model Flight Test Review
Вставка
- Опубліковано 26 вер 2024
- Fully stabilized and easy to fly, this should be an excellent learn to fly plane for new pilots. Can do stunts with this also. Find it here bit.ly/BoeingRC787
Pros
- Great looking flying semi-scale model of the Boeing 787. Constructed of EPP foam, it's very crash resistant.
- Six axis stabilized for very smooth and stable flying for beginner pilots.
- Three axis flight control with throttle, differential thrust yaw, and elevator pitch control.
- Great outdoor flier, but maneuverable enough to also be flown indoors.
- Good transmitter controller range of over 200 meters.
- Powered by common 3.7V 300mah battery (LoSi connector).
Cons
- Brushed 0720 motors. But they are very common and inexpensive motors. You should easily be able to find replacements if needed.
- Relatively short flight time for a plane at about 7 minutes. But again it uses very common and inexpensive LiPo batteries that can be purchsed to keep you flying.
- Not really RTF. Requires some assembly out of the box.

I really like these little rc airliners that's been coming out. The scale looks when they're in the air flying is really cool. With the clear props you can't even see them. I notice they fly surprisingly well and under $50. The small batteries are super cheap so you can buy several of them. I'm a very experienced flyer and would still have fun with one of these. I will probably get one so thanks for sharing. Oh the A380 you reviewed a while back was nice too.
Yes buddy, this is certainly better. I have both, 787 and 380. I felt A120 aka A380 has more drag because of wider wing, so it feels weak, slow and inefficient. But 787 is simply an ace design! I love your reviews. 👍😊
I couldn't have said it better myself this is a great design
I can't believe how well this little big plane flies! 😁👍🏼👍🏼 I fly 5 and 6 channel planes with brushless motors on 3, 4 and 6S but this looks like great fun, might have to buy one for friends and relatives to have a go and learn the basics.
Find it here bit.ly/BoeingRC787
Looks like a fun little 3-channel plane. Thanks for the review!
looks like alot of fun well done sir
Man this was the plane I wanted to buy and this video showed up,great video
Same I dont know how to assemble it
Good looking plane that seems to fly pretty darn good too!
I'm getting this for my birthday so glad you reviewed it
That’s a nice rc plane plus these small looking planes are
So good and cool 😊😊
I'll tell you what: I would have Loved one of these new flying airliners when I started out with the RC flying stuff :)
excellent review again sir! :)
Yep.. NOT installing them "engines" was the first thing I thought to do :P
Nice that they went to 7x20 motors. Many folks will have a Syma X5 type quad and/or parts sitting around. Though not shown on the box this is from the same stable as the WLToys/XK A100/110 etc series and can be flown with the same Tx. Also the WLToys V911s Tx and hobby grade Txs with multi modules using the recently Deviated V911s protocol.
Having to bog all those fiddly bits together before you can get it in the air is a PITA for us arthritic Old Farts though.
EDIT...Info on protocols etc should be credited to the Japanese poster "Ultra Micro Maniacs
" - He (& fellow countryman "ebifrya0015") can be useful for more detailed technical reviews if you can navigate through the language difficulty.
"Ultra Micro Maniacs" is where I learned about the "911s" protocol also. What I'd like to know it how to turn on the led light strip with my jumper. I've posted that question but haven't got the answer yet.
I just flew mine 6 times and it flew perfectly. Yeah you could take the engines off but its just fine how it is. Perfect when you're out with the kiddies.
Its will be fun to assemble like my C-17. This plane is next on my bucket list...the assembly required is right up my alley, I have a lot of experience assembling plastic model kits... no gripes for me.
Perfect... AGAIN! Thanks for posting!
That looks loads of fun
Wow its cool,i want to buy it !!!!
My favorite UA-camr Quadcopter 101 his videos are better then whatch tv 👍👍👍🇳🇱🇳🇱🇺🇸🇺🇸
Just to let you know, you can fly all of these xk jets with your jumper if it has the v911s protocol. I've got the new Jumper T16 transmitter and the 4in1 module has it. You can even adjust the elevator trim on the Boeing 787 QF008. These planes are alot more fun with a nice tansmitter.
I got the 787 to bind to my Jumper T16. What I can't figure out is how to get it "out" of Acro mode. When it binds it binds like having the top right button on the little transmitter on. I can't figure out how to program the T16 to change it back to the "normal" mode the little transmitter that comes with the plane uses. Any help would be appreciated.
@@kenmyers7625 Put Channel 5 on a 2 position switch? Edit....Ch5 is listed as "calibrate" in Multi Module list (for setting trim to give stable hover in the V911s) but give it a try. Try channel 6 if that doesn't work.
Going to order one now. Thank you Sir.
Will someone please make a video on how to upgrade this plane to brushless motors but still be 3ch....?????
just ordered mine on its way from china nice!
Easy to esamble?
Lol, I miss this channel. It's been about 2 years since I broke my first and last drone.
wait, so i just got one of these and i love it, somehow came across this
This plane iS actually good and cheap im planning on getting it because i like rc things
great vidio quadcopter. mines just arrived .I order 2 spare motors with it , very cheap, only downside is the under carriage is glued in place so going to be hard replacing the motors. as brushed motors don't last that long . but its amazing for the price . kelv.
I just ordered the A120 Airbus based on your review last week & now I see this and you say it's better. Is it that much better? I'm a new flyer.
Yes, it flies way better
Cool, and super affordable!!
do you think i should stick a 2s battery on it?
hey I can tell that you are having a blast lol
Nice one!
Love this 787!! After working on it :(
What kind of glue should I use to build this, and should the glue be put on sparingly? Thanks
great video seen a few bad ones about this model .looks like a winner to me ?
I love it
I just received my QF008 yesterday and it fly beautiful .
Would it fly with a GoPro on it
What is your opinion on the biggest battery to give me the most flight time is there any room to upgrade the battery?
Because of your report, I also bought one of these parts. What strikes me is that the CG may not be right. The battery would have to be placed much further forward. Did you fly in the original version without changing the center of gravity?
Yes I did.
@@Quadcopter101 o.k., thank you.
The producer ist QIFENG Technology Inc. China, but sadly there is no way (to me) to figure out what else they produce... :-(
Is there a special type of glue you have to use ?
They list a bunch here www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?2670888-Best-glues-for-EPP. But to tell you the truth, I think I used just plain contact cement with mine.
Hi! Can you help me with more info regarding the problem from 6:05. My plane acts exactly the same, going round and round and when I trow it in the air it falls in spiral. Thanks in advance!
Pay attention to what I say at 6:49. Make sure that the red motor connector plug is inserted into the red slot, and the white connector plug is inserted into the white slot. As I mention in the video, I accidentally had reversed them. I had to reopen the plane and switch the plugs to correct the problem.
@@Quadcopter101 I found the problem finally. The motors are correctly connected but put on the wrong wings... Now everything seems to be ok, thanks!
How did it fly than the xk a120 aka a380 specifically? Thinner lighter wings with quieter motors?
We'll, why not see for yourself here ua-cam.com/video/Zcowq-KyxD8/v-deo.html
I am think about paint mine in a American airlines or Air Canada airlines in the new scheme
You do it already?
Carlos Salas hello I did mine in a fedex paint scheme
Can you post a video of the FedEx livery?
@@pajamamar2011 sure I can
I would have liked to see some touch and goes if it can
Don't cross them wires! HAHAHA, you're fun to watch, good sense of humor. If I flew for the first time where you are, I'd smash right into one of those light post sure as shit. Great vid. Thank's
Where do you keep all this planes and drones?? Can I buy some of them from you? If yes reply to me and I give you my contact..
I don't keep them (don't have the storage space), nor do I sell them or do giveaways (don't have the time or want the hassle of packaging and mailing). After their reviews are completed, they are piled in the back of my van and donated monthly en masse to local schools and charities (Toys for Tots and local schools Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) clubs).
Quadcopter 101.. Thankyou very much.. I wish I had one of those also.. I have been following your channel for very long time and you motivated me to review items on my channel..I encourage you reviews I have passion for hobbies but I just couldn’t afford for drones or planes.. but thankyou for letting me know.. I have a UA-cam channel can you help me promote in someways please? This is my link ua-cam.com/video/szB0PdUvZj8/v-deo.html. Please reply if possible thankyou..
I wish bangood was around when I was a kid .
i have this plane
How mach price boss this is plane
Can you bind it to a spectrum radio?
so how do you fix that problem I got the same but i did not understand how to fix it hahah its looks great!
Swap the two wires in each other's plug.
how to change circuit board on my QF008 787
The weirdest part of the video, was that you were frying next to the abandoned railroad
No, that's actually a running trail.
Is this a gyroscope system include this rc Airbus
Yes, this has six axis gyro and accelerometer stabilization.
I subscribed and turned on the notification bell! Great Videos!! Are you in Ridgecrest??
Yep, this is Ridgecrest.
@@Quadcopter101 Cool! I Live in Trona. We go to Ridgecrest all the time! I Just started a UA-cam channel yesterday and trying to figure out how to do the editing.
Lol you Shure made your passenger sick.
With all the loops .
Bet they won't fly quadcopter 101 airlines 😁
too funny
can it fly with dji osmo action camera??
No, that would be too heavy for this little plane.
Hello! I was wondering if you could tell me the cg you were flying with? Thanks! Great review btw :)
The CG is 65mm back from the wing LE, 30mm forward of the TE.
Thanks a million!
Thanks for the great video. I’m interested in a beginner plane for me and the grandson. He’s only 6 but can operate a rc car much better then myself.
I just found it on Walmart for $48.99 free shipping delivery Sept 20th
Great video. Can this airplane be modified for 20 mm electric ducted fan motors instead of the brush motors?
I doubt it. You go that route, it's going to get too heavy. And the ESC of its flight control board is set for brushed motors.
@@Quadcopter101 I watched your video with the 747 and that's a neat flyer also. Can the airplane accept a 1000 milli amp battery.. longer flight time on those calm evenings
@@jltaviation Wouldn't recommend it. That would be almost 3 times the weight of its stock battery. It would degrade its flight performance.
@@Quadcopter101 Thanks for sharing your videos and thank you for your answers to my questions. Have fun and be safe.
I 'd do a 500mah (I do) but no higher so it won't overheat the motors. Plus the higher voltage packs will add weight to the planes.
I'm waited to receive my plane. May you be so kind to tell me what kind of glue you used?
I used Duramax contact adhesive on mine.
@@hopsta5628 thank you!!
I use 5-minute epoxy.
@@pajamamar2011 thank you!!
Pls review wen sheng ws-9101 dolphin
My brother is getting this plane but if u guys want a better one for beginners it's cheap it's the temptest 600 ep
The Tempest (not temptest) 600 ep is a rebrand of the Volantex V761-2 Ranger 600 which is a nice little 3-channel stabilized pusher plane. However that has 1 defect that the QF008 does not have - there is no motor failsafe on loss of signal. If you lose signal while flying your plane will just keep going until the battery runs out. This plane is about the cheapest 3-channel plane you can buy at the moment and a lot of fun for beginners.
It is produced by Goolrc, a company in china
please review xk a120 fpv mod or qf 008 fpv mod
i wanna fpv mod in plane like it^^
Price airplane
Where to buy
bit.ly/BoeingRC787 They are currently restocking their supply. It should be available by the end of this month.
What kind of glue can u use for this foam??
Water based or super glue.
I used 5-minute epoxy. It's safe for the foam.
BANGGOOD say flight time 15 minutes?
I was flying at high power for most of my flight. If you reduce power and cruise, then flight time should be increased some. But 15 minutes might be a bit unrealistic, unless your soaring.
Easy to ensamble?
Yes not much hard
i bought this plane built it took out side took no problem went in a straight line never saw it again
not good
I have the plane and sometimes I
/the plane sometimes lose the signal several times. It's a flyaway risk!
Goood
Time to make a plane emergency landing crash land with this plane and make it like United 232
50 bucks on Ebay.
I would be very afraid if I were a passenger on an airliner that flew like that
Looks hard to fly ,love the look

Actually I wear a Bob Ross tie-dye shirt in one of these videos (wish that I can remember which?) ;-)

When it wouldn’t take off my first thought was that it has the same software problem as the real thing.
You mean the 737 MAX?
Where did you got it PLEASE ANSWER I WANT THAT❤
bit.ly/BoeingRC787
Lol, that was funny with the mix up of the motors, good to see that even you can stuff up. Still a fun little toy for a beginner.
Yes, and here's another assembly tip that I learned from trial and error. The motor labeled "L" should go on the left wing, and the motor labeled "R" goes on the right wing ;-)
Quadcopter 101, hahahahaha, if all else fails, read the instructions is what I would always say.
