Thanks for putting out some fresh 3 valve content. I’m still upgrading my 2008 GT when I can.
I hear ya!
Loving these videos I hope you still have this beauty awesome car man!
Oh yeah I still have her! 2021 was a crazy year but I plan on doing some more videos this year 👍
Nice seeing these 3V build videos man!
Glad to hear it! I’ve got more on the way
It sounds good!! I love it.
My man
People in Facebook has said really good stuff about Lito, he specializes in tuning 3v mustang, just throwing that out there, great content keep it coming
Lito is the 3V Whisperer.
@@DJDinaggio Maybe a Dyno Tune is even better.
@@danielroberson5421 Maybe. If you have access to a good dyno tuner locally it would make sense. If you don't, Lito requests that you send him datalogs so he can revise the tune as necessary until it's spot on in all driving conditions.
Nice I went with the same cams myself!
I love them
Would like to see you rev this out a bit more.
You mean take it up to 7k RPM?
Looks like it may have made 360-370 if you took it up towards 7000k. It was def still building at 6400. On stock springs I always shifted at 6500. I have the same cams now and almost exact same setup everywhere else plus livernois stage 2 heads. I plan to shift at 7000-7200. Hoping for 380-400 whp
Edit: just got to the part where you talked about the tune and not pushing it too hard lol.
Yeah you should make around 370 - 380 with those those heads! It’ll depend on what you do with the phasers. Sounds like a sick build
Love the channel! Please take this thing drag racing lol
I hope to soon!
The HP curve was still rising at 6400rpm so peak HP is actually higher than 355.6. With your upgraded valve springs you could have revved out to 7000.
Definitely. Brenspeed limited it to 6600, I need to ask them what they think. It’s not a huge concern of mine since I haven’t started tracking the car yet but that should change.
@@ProjectBullitt i rev mine to 7500 rpm. i have stock intake and throttle body so thats holding me back some.those are my next two upgrades and 4.10’s.you definitely have more rev range mine pulls all the way to 7500.
@@kawboykody what springs do you have? I don’t have the money to rebuild the engine 🤣
@@ProjectBullitt Not long after 7000 your rods will go, 7000 is the highest I’d go lmao.
You might pick a few more up just by running factory intake manifold with the charge motion plates . the ford racing intake and throttle body really (gain) power is with forced induction a gentlemen called 4eyes on UA-cam even goes into more details on this and he actually lost power on the dyno with the ford racing intake over factory
That was likely true before I installed the high lift cams, but in this video the cams are installed. They need all the air they can get!
@@ProjectBullitt The SPR cams, and the longer duration versions in particular, work even better with ported heads since the higher valve lift increases volumetric efficiency and torque production.
@Four Eyes achieved 361rwhp & 333rwtq with a CAI, underdrive pulleys, Kooks LT headers, Detroit Rocker cams, FRPP intake manifold, 62mm TB, aluminium driveshaft, and a dyno tune.
Since then he's rebuilt the engine with an all forged bottom end into a 298ci stroker, added Livernois ported heads, and replaced the Detroit Rocker cams with Comp SPR stage 3 (127600) plus upgraded valve springs and phaser limiters. He's now sitting at 385rwhp & 353rwtq.
He could have easily reached 400+rwhp with a 10.5:1 compression ratio or higher but since he's planning to add twin turbos, he's kept the CR in the mid 9's.
@@DJDinaggio usually what’s the cost to build a 3V to 400whp or is it better to just go forced induction
@@TheJMan1K It would be far more cost effective to add forced induction to achieve 400rwhp rather than take the naturally aspirated route. The stage 3 CNC ported heads required for the latter cost an arm and a leg.
Did you change out heads as well?? What gears are you running?
No the heads are stock, and the gears are 3.73’s
@@ProjectBullitt biggest things you still want to change on it??
What tune is this using? If you dynoed parts before a tune, what difference did it make?
So before the cams I had a tune from Steeda, but they wouldn’t do cams, so I went with Brenspeed
@@ProjectBullitt how much does Brenspeed charge to tune for cams? Also was it a dyno tune or an email tune? These are pretty good numbers I’d like to match them
It was an email tune. Seem like they charged around $175? I can’t remember though. You find that info on their website.
@@ProjectBullitt are email tunes easy to do? I wasn’t sure on email tunes or a street tune. I’ve got an SCT and a computer but no clue how to use them together
Did you have to do phaser limiters with the cams?
I did, I went with Livernois limiting kit. Limits the phasers to 20 degrees
@@ProjectBullitt thank you for the reply, looking at cam options for my car and I think this is what I’ll be looking to get
Exhaust setup??
Kooks long tubes, O/R H Pipe, FR500’s.
I would loose my shit if my dyno guy let it compressed like that from WOT.
Let it compressed? Not sure what you mean. He let it back down to about 5k and then it sounds like he puts it in neutral.
